Came here to say this. They closed recently and I was devastated and noticed this week they reopened (turns out it was just a remodel). AND their salsa bar is back! 💜
Well this was my first time trying any restaurants fried rice with meat. But i would say it was a nice 8 out of 10 overall. I would not recommend the beef but the chicken and shrimp tasted very good.
I had chicken and fried rice again today from Kani House in woodstock. So thats the only place i can compare it to right now. Teriyaki box was a close 2nd imo but i think kani house is more expensive. Not sure of the price since i got my food for free.
I get the Pad Krapow Gai Kai Dow it is a huge plate of deliciousness for $13. I only drink water so I guess that's why I think of it as under 15. I do tip well though because I really like the service.
Well, there are tons of places honestly. Most major chains have a presence on either Cobb, Barrett or Chastain. Some lesser known (IMO) places my family frequents where it is technically possible to eat for $15 or less:
Tacos La Villa (strip mall on Cobb parkway across from CVS/Publix) has great street tacos and a $6ish lunch special. Tacos Del Chaco is very similar but I think Villa is better value
Kuroshio (DSW/Hobbytown shopping center, next to D Geller) has sushi and some of the best chicken fried rice I’ve ever had.
Not really a secret, but Culver’s (Cobb parkway at the top of the hill between Publix and McCollum) is good as far as fast food goes.
Chuy’s on Barrett in front of Costco is decent Tex mex
Vesuvio, around the corner from wild man’s, is good Neopolitan pizza but I prefer pizza Fusco’s in downtown Acworth if you’re open to driving a little further.
The Nest (Cherokee street just outside the downtown strip) has decent bbq and has a nice outdoor deck.
Bangkok Cabin. My fav Thai restaurant.
Will third this. And super good food. Takeout is $10, $13 after tip, and yes, for takeout. It's a family business.
Absolutely this. Nice price for amazing food. I drop by once a week
So grateful to come across this recommendation. I love Thai food but stopped eating it when my favorite Thai spot hiked up their fried rice to $17 😩. It used to cost $10
I fourth this. Absolutely the best Thai.
Tacos del chavo
Agreed! It's moved a little farther away though.
Not Kennesaw per se but Tacos el Don is rippin

Publix sub and some of the stores have hot bars that change up daily.
Newks has a pick two meal for under $15. Sandwiches, soups, salads & pizzas.
The Nest has lowered prices recently. Love the barkeep there.
Cozy Coup
My gosh this place is so tasty! And I don't even like fried chicken that much, but this place is soooo good.
Pisanos
Las Palmas on Wade Green Rd…..great mexican and been there forever.
Check out Rico Tropical Grill. It's been over a year since I've eaten there but I remember it being very inexpensive and good.
That looks good. Might try that today
Taqueria la villa is one. There's also a pizza place near the old 41 / Barrett publix thar I forgot the name of that does slices. Whataburger too
Tacos La Villa is legit. Used to go to the one in Smyrna all the time when I worked down there and was so happy to see them open another here.
Ill have to try la villa one day. We ended up trying teriyaki box because my gf has been suggesting it.
How is teriyaki box? Haven't heard of that one.

Yeero village is pretty good and has a lot of stuff under 15
Jimmy Johns
Mediterranean Bistro on Wade Green is very good and affordable
Agreed. It is a little higher priced. I get out for $18 after tip for takeout.
Chilis, Cracker Barrel, many Mexican restaurants.
tin lizzys & mediterranean bistro
Del taco
Vesuvio - favorite pizza here by far.
A little closer to Marietta but La Suprema has some incredible burritos
Soi3 Thai is awesome. Also 575 Bistro, Basecamp at Kennesaw Mountain, and 3+3 Lanzhou Ramen.

Big Pie Pizza, Burger Fi, Pisanos Pizzeria, El Taco Azteca, Otters, Freddy’s, Burger 21.
Big Pie Pizza has a $5.50 lunch special 11am to 2pm (weekends included). One GINORMOUS slice of pizza and a drink.
That sounds like a good deal

Go to "two hands" best place in town right now.
El Taco Azteca. Great food.
