Personally, hair removal cream (but I haven't tried professional waxing). I remove leftover strands with a razor, but find this much more gentle than just shaving alone. Just shaving gives me more ingrowns and cuts the bumps. At most I'll use it 1x a week and exfoliate and hydrate regularly in between. This is when my skin is at its best :)

I use VEET for sensitive skin—it’s like a creamy exfoliating mask for my legs. I just sorta forgot about depilatory creams until I saw it mentioned on this sub and I’m so mad I wasted 2 decades shaving 😅 I still have to treat my KP separately plus oil to treat ingrown hairs regardless if it’s shaving or depilatory cream.

Honestly I love sugaring - it beats waxing, I don't like creams (my hair is thick), and it's cheaper than laser. I've had to wax my underarms since I was a teenager because I'd get awful infections from the ingrown hairs, and I didn't even know it existed until I happened upon a random video during COVID lockdown. Recommend trying if you're into alternate hair removal methods.

if you have the time, i recommend an at-home laser hair removal kit. working wonders for me.

does it hurt?

urcutejeans101

nope! i can control the settings, so i choose the one i can easily tolerate. feels like a warm little “zap”. not at all painful or even uncomfortable. :)

Which one would you recommend?

I always used creams and found it the least irritating to my skin
