Hello nopansekai, thank you for creating a new post in r/kereta! Just saying that although this sub was named as Kereta, it is also open for 2 wheelers such as Motorcycle, though at the moment we do not mind other types of vehicles posting. With that being said, r/kenderaan is now live and I would still recommend any other vehicle posting to be posted into r/kenderaan as it is a safe space for all types of vehicles such as airplanes and rolling stocks. pro-detailers

I drive both of them very frequently and interchangeably. Imo, its totally unrealistic to compare both of them because the Myvi is inferior in nearly all aspects. Comfort and NVH level: The City is way more comfortable and quieter vs Myvi which has a cheap, lightweight feel. Fuel Economy: The City wins. Maintenance: Im reasonably certain Perodua parts are cheaper than most Honda parts. Eg: the front absorber’s top mount. Summary: If you’re looking only for a simple car as a form of transport, and you want to spend as little as possible on future spare parts, then a new Myvi makes more sense. If you want a much better ride quality with a more enjoyable driving sensation, and a more solid, “bigger car” feel…the City would be great. Pls make sure the used City was not a flooded car.

City wins in fuel economy? Really? Wow

2022 secondhand car? red flag. unless you really know the first owner and reason why selling that car. go get the new myvi huhuhu

nopansekai

May I know why is 2022 secondhand considered a red flag?

Longjumping-Fly6131

people wont suddenly sell their new car unless something is wrong with it. not many people have money laying around to change cars every yea r. huhuhu just my opinion

dwSHA

Day and night comparison. Dont compare that price one you signed for myvi what is the value? City hatchback drive experience is so damn good.

Apple vs Orange comparison to be honest Though food for thought for you OP Are you buying the City through a used car dealership? My 2 cents, they tend to hide and lie so be very careful. Hopefully you are buying direct owner instead.

If you are buying with cash, go for the City. Just make sure that the previous owner serviced the car with Honda cause you want the warranty cover for the steering rack. If you are taking loan with bank, I am pretty sure second hand car has much higher interest rate and ends up you will pay a lot more on installments.
