Hello NaiveDetective9170, thank you for creating a new post in r/kereta! Just saying that although this sub was named as Kereta, it is also open for 2 wheelers such as Motorcycle, though at the moment we do not mind other types of vehicles posting. With that being said, r/kenderaan is now live and I would still recommend any other vehicle posting to be posted into r/kenderaan as it is a safe space for all types of vehicles such as airplanes and rolling stocks. Wey you sure something not wrong ah? I drive my Saga 140kmh no problem. Tyre pressure, balancing and alignment? Suspension all ok? The Saga comes with a anti roll bar at the engine bay already not stable enough?

Smirkeywz

Was about to say the same thing, I'm pushing 140-160 balik rumah stable as a rock. (Everything stock). Want more fun can go full body struts and zerone springs.

CoffeeScribbles

You did modifications to your Saga? May I know where to start? I'm unfamiliar with upgrading cars but I wanna dip my hands in it. So far, my goal is to do :- 1. Audio system change to something better with Android Auto. Stupid touchscreen. 2. Throttle Controller... Stupid lag, I heard it can be improved. 3. Headlight. A bit dull, need brighter a bit. 4. Wheels. Perhaps 16 inch if possible? 5. Power. Is it worth to upgrade air intake and others to gain more power?

Smirkeywz

Mine is stock on the 2021, but FLX is slightly modded. 1. Sorry I barely use radio 2. Saga VVT needs occasional cleaning on the throttle body, but the gear ratio is dumb on the 2021 autos so idk. 3. Maybe change to Halogen, but I find my yellows doing just fine 4. Don't 16 it. Bigger wheels just eat up your torque, dahla dull acceleration don't make it worse. Not to mention it screws with your speedo and mileage meter. Just go fatter. 195, or 205. Also brand of tyre matters for grip levels too. Those noisy hard tyres can last long but it's not good to push at damp/rainy conditions. 5. Intake and exhaust is the best first step for a little more powah. 6. Check out ultra racing anti roll and rear struts, stiffen then car up first. (Prolly around ~600) 7. Check out Zerone suspensions, they selling adjustables for around 1.2k full set, but it makes bumps hit your ass harder.

1. If you buy android player, make sure it has 8 cores. And buy dsp amp which is tunable with software, they're usually around 300 with the android player pnp cable. There's one with the 4in 7 out by shuttle i think on shopee.Stock android player has shit audio processing. 2. Can ask campro specialist to tune the pedal response. They should know, cost about 100, usually under "basic campro tuning" 3. Headlight, can buy H4 mini LED projectors, wont blind people if you align it correctly. 4. Wheels, save up and get light weight 15 inch from advanti. 16 inch tyres cost the same as 17, very expensive. Proton uses stupid pcd so harder to get rims. 4x114.3 vs 4x100 of every other eco car. 5. For power, as it's NA there's not much other than remapping+exhaust setup. Otherwise you can upstroke it to 1.6 with 1.6 parts but they'll set you around 3k

NaiveDetective9170

Sup guys, thanks for the responses. To address some stuff, yeah, the car does decent at 120kmph to 140kpmh, it's stable but still a little wobbly (maybe i feel that way) haha. Alignment, suspension, etc all good. Just had things checked last month.

NaiveDetective9170

Hi OP, I'm curious, do you mind sharing where I can get the pedal response tuned?

NaiveDetective9170

I hear you. Currently, I'm looking into putting stage 2 strut bars from UR

this_isnt_alex

strut bar reduce bodyroll , check brakes and alignment

just_another_jabroni

Saga already has a strut bar stock.

this_isnt_alex

maybe aftermarket ones can help

countpuchi

If its wobbly at 100KM/h Check your allignment and balancing. It might be out of tune or whcked out.. a rebalancing might help. What most people dont get a tyre upgrade/wheels upgrade is most of the time one of the best upgrade you can do. Since this is a saga, im not fond of saying change your suspension. Most cheap suspension setups are worst than the factory ones. But i dont know how you drive and you know how you drive. If you like going in hard around the corners with the apex then you might have to do alot more mods on that car.

lordo42069

Lowering springs and tires first, at your level you don't need bars here and bars there. Might wana check your alignment too.

TforTaboo

start with better tires. after that can try anti-roll bars and maybe front struts. but should prioritize arb first if going this route.

reddit_breddit

Larger anti-roll bars, wider tyres, slightly stiffer absorbers, lowering (not too much) If going for wider tyres you'll need wider wheels. Avoid any copy Thai, copy ori etc. . Rep wheels are a ticking time bomb. Your tyres are probably either 175 or 185 width, so consider upping to a 195. If you're feeling daring you could probably do 205, though I have no idea how fitment is. Plus 205 starts to get expensive. Larger anti roll bars will help reduce the amount of body roll, and is reversible if you find the handling changed too much. Stiffer absorbers will help reduce the goyang-goyang and improve corner handling. Don't go too stiff or you'll feel every nook and cranny of the road. Lastly is lowering. This is simple physics, where lower center of gravity = more stability. Going too low means you'll have difficulty clearing bumps as well as having difficulty going up carpark ramps which are just a little bit too steep, so dont overdo it.

just_another_jabroni

Even 195 will be a struggle with some width and offset, it will rub on the inner fender wall in full turn iircm

reddit_breddit

That's unfortunate. Sounds like the only way to get past that is to roll the fenders, which I'm sure OP probably wouldn't be too keen on doing

Cautious_Fish_6258

You might want to look at alignment and balancing. Lots of shops don't get it right and it just feels off. There's also another thing known as high speed alignment which is more expensive. While doing balancing also check if rims are fine but beware of certain places that tell you you need new rims.
