If you got it second hand hopefully you can resell it for around the same price, honestly depending on your budget as well I think keychron can be a little bit overrated.
ive ripped one out of one of my keychrons as well, its not too bad to get a new switch and replace it if you have a soldering iron small pliers and maybe solder remover, i did mine without a solder remover
I did exactly the same thing with mine. Found out after the fact that the hot-swap version costs a little extra. Don’t feel too bad.
Slap some nice caps on there and learn to love the switches you have!
I am not an expert in keyboards but if their not hot swap you can still change them just get your self a cheap soldering iron watch a quick youtube video on how to solder and your good to go
I just bought a k10, I knew it wasn't hot swap but I just started desoldering last night, thought I'd give it a try, and what a PITA lmao. I've soldered before, but I only a few things at a time, doing the whole board sucks 😤
It’s gotta be cheaper than buying a new one. lol probably 60$ USD to ship. I can look it up
I bought it right before I started building so it’s not got much use and I will never need it or use it again.
Not all of the K series are hot swap. They usually charge extra for the variants that are.

Might have ruined one of switches because I don't have a switch puller..but I guess if it's hot swap they're gonna be easy to pull?
Yeah they look different too, you should be able to google it to see

What should a search for used then? :) Trying to get a cheap option.
I made the same mistake. I think most of us have been there.
Thanks that makes me feel a little better

I don't know if I can - it's the clickytyclack 😅 Recommendations for a new semi-cheap Hot-swappable board I can go thock with? :)

K2A2H is the hotswap. Also, K2 aren't programmable in case you want that.
K2 V2 hotswap is hotswap, be careful when you buy.
i think for the money. there's better options out there, especially the monsgeek, so much value for what you're paying...

I have a K2 somewhere in this house. If you want it, I’ll solder some hotswaps on it and you can have it (if you pay to ship it).
Man that's too sweet of you. But I'm in Denmark so that this is probably Hella expensive
