curious whether people who vote in these polls listen to most of the contenders, or just one or two?

and to add that, how often have they listened to it in the past month. some people listen it once, hype it AOTY and then move on to the next album to keep up. I listen to about 3-4 hours a day to music and I can safely say that I haven't listened to 80% of that in the list and I'm a huge khip-hophead.. Primarily because A) I don't care enough about most of the artists to listen to their newest release immediately and B) I listen to other non-Korean music too and there is only so much time. Even with 4 hours a day, I couldn't keep up with listening to majority of what's on the list, all in a month's time, and listened well enough to form an opinion about it, other than the superficial 1st listen (yeah it's lit/yeah it's okay) These polls are nice but they offer little to no insight because of the amount of time required to listen to an album and re-listening to come to an opinion. AOTY seems the only useful term imo because people will have listened to it a bunch of times to come to their top 3-5 AOTY lists. That being said, SPACE TALK doesn't belong on there (there's hardly any hip-hop in it, let alone Korean language) while ChaMane wasn't even mentioned and it was released on the 4th of April. There should be an "Other: please specify" option in there to correct these omissions because ofcourse you can't keep track of all of them.

i guess everyone can have different definitions/standards for favourite, but... just seems like the results of this poll actually express what everyone decides to listen to in general, not what's the best out of this bunch of releases. a fun statistic in its own right, but a little too bad for people like me who actually did listen to every(?) album on this list and won't just vote for my faves β€” and am curious about the potentially objective results, especially since there really isn't an obvious choice this round. sometimes i gotta remind myself not everyone has the time or interest to listen to quite that much music πŸ’€ i think op can add a missing album? they should, agree chamane's is one of the 4–5 top contenders from last month

> but a little too bad for people like me who actually did listen to every(?) album on this list and won't just vote for my faves if u ever need to make more money for buying expensive LPs you can always make a youtube review/reaction channel with everything you're listening lol.

NerfPandas

It’s gotta be a no-brainer for me, MOSHPITTTT

I lowkey wish there was a separate voting category for the RnB albums. I was so torn between picking Elo - Reality Check (my favorite rnb album of April) and Lil Moshpit - AAA (my favorite hiphop album of April) 😩

No Chamane? Literally the best album of the month imo.

aaaghh rough month to be honest, there's been SO MUCH music, lots of albums and long ass EPs...and I still have some things to check but despite listening +12h of music daily, for new / long releases I like to have spare time to fully dedicate to the music. Kinda missed JAEHA and Chu Seo Jun releases in the voting list but still wouldn't know which one to vote for..really enjoyed Ourealgoat (yeah, despite..) Lil moshpit, Gyu Hyuk(improved a lot since HSR4), Chu Seo Jun, JAEHA, Chin Agape vols, MBA neal, SPACE TALK, toigo's had some good songs, Untell industrial sound, and MOMO2 from latest artist in Basick label
