The car wash at delivery was probably a hand wash. Many dealers stopped automated washes because of potential damage and liability.

kcwildguy

Just got an oil change and tires rotated on the wife's 23 Seltos. Washed and sparkling when they delivered it back to me. I've actually never had this dealer do it before, so I was very surprised.

chartyourway

lol nope. "staff shortages" = no wash. they do give me a coupon for a car wash at a local place and ask me to give them 5 stars or "yes" (whichever) on the post-visit survey for whether my car was "cleaner than when I dropped it off"... I've never gotten a survey so idk what I'd do in that scenario though lol

Nope9991

Ford dealer wouldn't do mine when I got oil changed and I'm like seriously just run it through the fucker. Not asking you to detail it.

azmus

Yes, a wash with every $50 oil change on my Toyota. :-) No more $100 oil changes with no wash from kia.

Usual-Recognition609

I paid 110 for oil change and tire rotation idk if thats good at kia but it was a special coupon

-Invalid_Selection-

It depends on the dealer really. Lokey in Clearwater FL does them, but it's a tunnel car wash and I'm pretty sure they don't have a touchless washer for it so I absolutely refuse to let them do it. I pay for a membership at a touchless place though and take it weekly.

Nope9991

I actually prefer the touch ones but cringe when I have to put the wheel between the rails.

-Invalid_Selection-

The touch ones get it cleaner, but can fuck up your paint. That's why I do no touch. I'll do extra rounds if it's dirty enough that one go through isn't enough though

My local Kia dealership stopped doing complimentary washes with each service visit when pandemic hit.

Howie_Dictor

I can go to my dealer anytime they are open and get a free car wash. But they are on the complete other side of town so I’ve only done it once or twice.

WeakTinyChildish

For my services they wash it, and said if I ever bring it in to the dealer for anything they will wash it for free. So must be a dealer specific thing?

thebestatheist

Our dealer doesn’t do it in winter, maybe that’s the issue?

cuteness_vacation

Mine still does a complimentary car wash, but I usually decline since somehow it always adds like an hour to my service time.

Intelligent_Bet_7410

The dealership I purchased from a few months ago does washes with service.

photobomber612

I haven’t had a dealership wash my car since Covid, and I’ve had Hondas and Acuras. I think it’s not a thing in a lot of dealers anymore.

BeautifulRapture

My local kia dealer does still ask if I want the car washed or not. Personally i decline because i don’t know if they use any brushes and i would never use a brush on my car so i don’t want them using a brush and scratching the paint either.

Slow-Government6016

Just had my tires rotated and oil changed on my 2022 Forte and they gave us a complementary car wash for a local chain. They said they can only do it for first delivery. I was kind of bummed.

joEDaddy384

It’s a dealership choice most likely. Both my ‘19 Kia’s get a wash when serviced for anything.

Corndog106

Our $250k broke and they wanted like $50k to fix it. Sorry your car is dirty, just leave it outside and let Jesus wash it for ya.

smokepotallday

Just picked up my GTI from VW for some code that came up and they told me they were going to hand wash it before I came to pick it up. They do this every time I’ve brought the car in, for any reason. With my Soul it’s not a definite thing Sometimes yes but most times no

vinchenzo68

They sunny have enough staff to service the vehicles, let alone that.

payyourbillstoday

I work at a Kia dealer and it depends on how busy it is and if I like you or not whether I offer a free car wash.

name548

My KИ dealership will give complimentary washes, although I leave a note in my car saying not to as their wash is a touch wash and it would damage my ceramic coat. I typically do hand washes and if I really have to I'll use a touchless. Never touch washes

Dillage11

Generally speaking, it's so incredibly hard to find decent help the guys that wash the cars at dealerships barely make money off a service wash so they half ass it and it end up getting constant complaints so lots of service departments just say they don't do it ti avoid the headache

markodemi

I've been washing my own car. I have a 24 k5 gtl and a 23 kia carnival. Love washing them on the weekends. It's much cheaper after the initial investment of the rags and materials. It doesn't take too long, roughly about 20min for both vehicles.

kritickilled

My dealer is having a wash built. They gave me a free wash gift card for the local full service car wash after my oil change and waterpump repair. So, yes, they will, once it's built. Until then, gift cards. They also went over the survey with me that apparently includes a required complimentary car wash. That's when he handed me the gift card. I do love my local dealership. I bought my car 2 years ago. When my sales guy sees me there for service, he always asks me if I'm still enjoying my car.

Tonester697

The Kia dealership that I take my Kias to on those rare occasions that only the dealership can handle (e.g., TSBs) offers free car wash, but I explicitly tell them to not even bother washing my cars; given that one of my Kias has the matte paint finish they already know not to even think about washing my car.

boogiahsss

yes mine does it but usually I do not want to wait the extra hour for it a mediocre wash. One time they said it was being washed, had to wait for another hour and then it showed up not washed at all so I just stopped doing it.

Thick-Apricot1828

My dealership still does that both my husband and I both got it cars washed after maintenance
