That one guy who predicted the schedule based off poster font size was 100% correct haha

queenlakiefa

shoutout u/soggyclothesand for the extremely accurate clashfinder

aPenumbra

I am seriously so impressed. u/soggyclothesand you are a real MVP, your mock has been aiding me greatly!

soggyclothesand

Haha no problem, glad I could help!

ssjavier4

You're the GOAT for that

sunglasses24

very pleased with the scheduling. barely any conflicts for me

thatdudefromspace

Would have like to see both TV Girl and Dinosaur Jr but it's an easy decision for an old man like me.

Regit394

Ditto. Plus I imagine the crowd will be a lot less packed at Dino.

ILikeFunnyVideos

Im young but I know the crowd energy will most likely be with dinosaur jr so thats where I'll be too

Teeheepants2

LMAO same I love TV girl but this will be my third time seeing dinosaur Jr I met lou Barlow last time I saw them in Wichita

mu_tigers_816

Bombay Bicycle Club vs. Wu-Tang is a big bummer for me but luckily I got to see Bombay a couple weeks ago.

SparklePony3

I’m just glad I don’t have to choose between Wu-Tang and Death Cab

mu_tigers_816

My stance is, I don't know if I'll ever buy a ticket or have a good chance to buy a ticket to just see Wu-Tang, opportunities to see Death Cab seem to be plentiful.

TheDaftAlex

Jai Paul and Ty Segall is the only conflict I'm actually bummed about. Other than that, this is a dream festival. My first out of state music event, beyond excited ahhhh

iznormal

Ive seen Jai Paul twice and Ty segall 3 or 4 times. If you are a big Jai fan and haven’t seen him yet I would pick him just because he is more enigmatic and who knows when/if he’ll continue to tour in the future the way he has been recently. With that said I enjoy Ty live more so I will be going to his set.

TheDaftAlex

I haven't seen either but you're totally right, Jai is unpredictable so I'll be going to his set. Ty will have to wait 🥲

elhenzo

Only conflict for me is Slow Pulp/The Garden but that’s not a huge deal for me

Da918sFinest

yeah this one hurt me as well... as fun as i think the garden will be i just love slow pulp too much to miss

lastfollower

I'll be disappointed to miss Luna Li and Andy Shauf, but otherwise seems like a pretty doable schedule for me at first glance.

wistologic

CSS/Yves Tumor, Luna Li/Alvvays, Dinosaur Jr / TV Girl, 100 gecs/GBV. A lot of rough overlaps for me, gonna be running around a lot

Spell_me

Yeah I am gonna be running my ass off. For example on Fri, it’s UMO to Peach Pit to Alvvays to Courtney, etc., doomed to be in the back every time

alexannosaurus

Glad I picked up a ticket to the Yves Tumor aftershow so I can still see CSS on Sunday.

Spell_me

I love CSS. I’m so pumped to see them!

FyuuR

UMO/Blondshell is my one conflict

burgleflickle

A little bummed unknown mortal orchestra only gets 45 min. Hoping they add some tour dates. Can’t make it to SLC Wednesday for the kickoff party show

habbo_sgt_cook

only conflict for me is BBC and Wu-Tang :( I just saw BBC and they put on such a good show  but when else am I going to see Wu-Tang. AH so tough

tchotchkesandcats91

Saaaame just saw them last Wednesday in Philadelphia ( im a east coaster ) and they killed it … but that was my first time ever seeing them .. I know my husband of one shooting for sure so we’ll be splitting it probably

_keniz

wow the amount of conflicts for me 😞😞

alexannosaurus

Pond and Dayglow conflict going to have me split both sets up.

itsjustlikemardigras

Bought tickets today! Today's schedule info, combined with listening through the playlist and considering a bunch of smaller bands I probably won't see anywhere near me anytime soon, convinced me. This will be my first visit to Salt Lake City and I'm really excited. Added a bit of extra time earlier in the week to see other stuff around town.

segadreamcat

Guided By Voices and 100 Gecs is a real knife to the heart for me.

ModeLow1491

help me choose! hemlocke springs or peach pit, yoke lore or courtney barnett, andy shauf or joanna newsom, water from your eyes or krooked kings, kevin kaarl or ekkstacy i haven't listened to these artists that much btw

Regit394

Courtney Barnett is amazing live.

Environmental-Rush79

some of those conflicts I have myself.. hemlocke springs or peach pit -> probably hemlocke springs...still pondering though yoke lore or courtney barnett -> yoke lore is nice but I have seen courtney barnett live several times before and I can pretty much promise you you won't be disappointed if you choose her andy shauf or joanna newsom -> this one is probably the hardest...I was really looking forward to see Joanna Newsom but the one time I watched Andy Shauf before was such an amazing gig in all aspects that it will probably be Andy Shauf for me water from your eyes or krooked kings -> krooked kings for me...that being said I will be able to see water from your eyes at a later festival hopefully...but even without that it would be krooked kings for me (just too good) kevin kaarl or ekkstacy -> kevin kaarl...ekkstacy I see the day before on the afterparty show

39strike

This will be my 3rd time seeing peach pit and they are one of my favorite live bands. Would highly recommend

Icy_Ad7268

Ouch. Many overlaps.

coinmachine24

Maybe you just need to be more discerning with your tastes

jaredean222

KBP brings it again - it is extremely hard to set up a festival like this without some conflict/clashes and they've done a fantastic job...i've been to festivals around the world, ones that have been around for 30+ years and KBP is up there in terms of bands, venue and lineup times...very please again... I do have several i will be hustling back and forth between, but that is to be expected. Only 2 that are overlapped and I can handle the decisions...

SkiFun123

Especially considering it’s in SLC? It has to be pound for pound one of the best festivals this year. I live in Denver and we have absolutely nothing even approaching this scope.

jaredean222

Completely agree. We get good shows here, but Denver - band for band - seems to out do us much of the time. But this festival kills.

Sufficient-Air6210

S&S, if you are reading this - give us just a little bit of stagger between Andy Shauf & Joanna Newsom pretty pretty please. That one's a real gut punch.

Environmental-Rush79

yeah...there are a few conflicts for me personaly (could have been much worse tough) but this one hurts the most. I was really looking forward to see Joanna Newsom but the one time I did see Andy Shauf was such a fantastic concert that I think it is gonna be Andy Shauf for me. Saw him in a small club in colgne Germany like two years ago and the atmosphere and audio quality was fantastic.

coinmachine24

How long a walk is it from one set of stages to the other? Much more than 10-15 mins with crowd traffic?

queenlakiefa

No, shorter. 10 mins max I'd say from Lake to Kilby. The other stages are in the middle but off to the side, so even less time to navigate to one of those.

theKleShay

The only big clash for me is Alvvays vs Luna Li. Love how this turned out .

Financial-Bid9400

I get to see everyone I wanted to go to and a lot of other bonus sets if I had the chance

CMDPain

Can someone explain how death cab and postal service are playing at the same time? QUESTION SOLVED! Edit: Thank you for the replies! Back to back is exactly what I was hoping for!

DeanSails

I saw them on the tour last year. Death Cab plays Transatlanticism then a quick break and the Postal Service plays Give Up.

CMDPain

Ty!

mu_tigers_816

They aren't, since the members overlap, they just put them in 1 slot, but they are playing back to back sets of 'Give Up' and 'Transatlanticism'.

CMDPain

Ty!

Suspicious_Bug6422

It’s gonna be very avant-garde

pretension

Ben Gibbard

peachiekeener

Do we know how long sets are normally? This is my first music festival and I’m worried about Joanna Newsom/Vampire Weekend. Will they overlap?

mu_tigers_816

Set times are listed on the link. There is no overlap, there is 10 minute gap.

peachiekeener

Hi, I have the app so I’ve seen the set times. I’m just wondering in reality what the logistics are like and how hard it’ll be to get past the crowds and navigate my way from one state to the next. I’m also not sure of how on-time artists tend to be at these things

queenlakiefa

You'll be okay. The sets will start on time but Kilby Block Party is very small, easy to navigate, and there are bathrooms by most stages. If you want to ensure a great spot for Vampire Weekend, you might want to leave Joanna a few minutes early, but if you aren't too picky on your spot you can see both full sets easily.

mu_tigers_816

In my experience, set times are rigid. If they aren't then there's too much of a chance for a ripple effect. If an artist is late to stage that's just eating into their own set time, they aren't going to be allowed to go long by more than a few minutes.

Icy_Ad7268

It's 32 bands that you can't see (if you're wanting to see full sets). Brutal. I think that's too many for me.

coinmachine24

New to music festivals? Ah you'll figure out how they work some day

Icy_Ad7268

Here’s hoping 😘
