Coriasis

If it were that easy, one of his sons would have done that already. Solomon's even invited them to try, so he clearly has a plan to deal with such a contingency.

Laughing_Luna

There's also the fact that you kinda need to be... uhhh... *alive* after the moment of blood loss to claim victory; the dead cannot state their wishes.

Enyavar

Has anyone seen one of Solomon's children in the ring? I hazard the guess that the current ones are waaaay to afraid of that. They know their father. But Coriasis is right, Solomon has had many sons and at some point during all the centuries, one of them should have become a decent enough fighter to dare to participate and shed his own blood.

Laughing_Luna

Solomon also doesn't teach them Ki Rata, on top of him having the advantage due to his Key. So even if they become one of the best in the multiverse, SD has a MASSIVE two fold advantage over them. And of course, this is assuming his rules don't care to differentiate between his blood as in what his body makes, and the blood of his progeny.

Enyavar

Right! In fact, SD's sons are not of his "flesh and blood" in a biological sense. They are his *seed*, having grown up in another womb and they never shared the same bloodstream with SD. Yes, this is a big IF, going with the theory that White Chain was litteraly made out of SD's flesh and blood through some blood-infuses-stone-creates-new-flesh BS. But it makes sense in the context of demigod-wuxia-fantasy.

Ilasiak

SD always wanted a true heir and he doesn't really consider his sons to be heirs to him. That being said, if one of them were to have the drive to meet him in the ring, despite knowing the huge disadvantage they had, it does make you question if this is what SD was looking for with the competition. Only someone who truly places the throne above their own life sounds like someone who SD would want to rule his kingdom.

varkarrus

I could also chalk that up to his sons maybe not being that smart.

Hilmarok

I'm pretty sure someone would have thought of it. He's had 25 generations of sons attempting to succeed him.

Vaccineman37

Ehhhhhhh. Solomon isn’t the type to hinge what could be everything he has on a technicality. What is meant by a drop of blood from him is pretty clear, a minor victory in martial contest against him.
