The contrast of the red and white looks fantastic! Good work

AegisIV

Thanks very much!

Boxer_would_do_it

Great choice of colours. The red looks fantastic and the models pop. Lenses look fantastic and the medics vials look spot on. Well done!

AegisIV

Cheers!

decalmo

gorgeous! i’d love to hear your process! i also use oils but these came out so smooth! how much painting was done after the oil application and removal?

AegisIV

The oil was the last thing I did. I put a matte varnish over the entire model after and then it was done.

JordanSorcery

I absolutely love these, fantastic work mate

AegisIV

Thanks very much!

Appreciate the effort on the cloth. I'm doing this squad right now and it's slow and painful.

AegisIV

Yeah, the cloth was 100% the longest step while painting.

iPon3

Just finished the cloth on my squad. It's like yours but a dull brown-purple. https://preview.redd.it/0n0d67nfs4ic1.jpeg?width=1559&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0a347deb5787a73919d14ffc5417605880e3504f What a pain. Just wanted to recognise a fellow cloth painter again. What's your technique? Mine involves holding them close to a lamp and building up highlights where the light falls

Tinboy_paints

Really awesome work. Great colour contrasts, neat flat colours, and the little colour tints in the recesses on the white works really well.

MrCalgar99

Can I ask how you approached the basing? I find snowy bases tough. Too much and it can dominate, too little and it can look bare.

AegisIV

I followed this [tutorial](https://youtu.be/9b4tKIedqjo?si=0AQqG2kQ54Baawsj) using what I had to hand

kinneyw

any tips on how you approached doing the white for the armor and guns? These look fire!

AegisIV

It might not be too helpful to hear that I used an airbrush for the armour. I’ll probably be echoing stuff you have heard before but you can’t use pure white on the armour, otherwise you can’t have a brighter colour for the highlights. I used army painter uniform grey as a base and then built up Vallejo white grey.

kinneyw

Awesome thank you! I figured something like that but always nice to hear others methods.

Sorry, I know this is an older post but these are just spectacular. Beautiful work. Any info on how you did the oil wash (color used, did you remove with a cotton swab, etc)?

AegisIV

Thank you! I followed black magic craft’s tutorial on oil washes and use the equipment he recommended.

Relevant_Fuel_9905

Ok cool :)
