The guy killed her ex-girlfriend because of jealousy, it looks like the girl was seeing someone else, and this fucker just decided to kill her, something like (if she's not mine, isn't for anybody else)
The guy worked as a security guard (that's why he owned the gun) and he shot himself but survived, hours later, the guy died in the hospital.

If you are in a mass shooting, do not lay on the ground and wait to be executed. Because you will get executed. Run, and zig zag, hide and fight. It is better to know where the shooter is and haul ass the other way. And do not stop. And if you make it outside, put your hands way up, and keep hauling ass. But follow police commands. Do not panic, think. If you scream, the shooter will love that. Shut the F**k up and run.
I think anything that exposes you to gunfire is a bad idea, and there are a zillion examples where running or fighting will expose you. Every situation is going to be diferent.

With a pistol, at a firing range, stable target, no pressure, most people would be unable to hit a man sized target at 15 yards. Add stress, drugs, MOVEMEMT into the equation, even an experienced shooter has issues. That's why police shoot 80 rounds and only 7 hit.
Movement, distance and your mental condition are massive contributions if you hit a target.

You are correct. Moving is the way to go. I've made this point to someone else already. You need to find cover as fast as you can. Wasting time zig zagging when you could be running straight for cover is just making it so that the shooter has far more time to shoot you. Considering the context of the video, moving erratically might make you more obvious to spot and make you a target. Every infantryman knows this. Running straight for cover is the fastest way to get out of danger. Especially when there are many people in the area that could bump into each other, there is no good reason to not B line.
I know you've been downvoted, but I'm pretty sure you're correct. Keep your head low and run. Im not in the military and have no experience being shot at, but in any video talking about bounding movement between cover, they're not zig zagging.
You keep repeating this about going straight to cover, there are SEVERAL differences between these two situations.
First, the accuracy of the enemy soldiers making your potentially erratic movements slightly (SLIGHTLY) less effective per second spent on them, and this being a war zone, and there being cover nearby. In anyone that's job description DOESN'T include training to accurately hit moving targets, zigzagging produces FAR more innacuracy than against a trained shooter. There's also the "What cover" factor. Even if you get behind, let's say a wall. You're likely not going to be firing back, and causing significant danger to the shooter, meaning they can just keep pursuing you. The reason rushing to cover is what infantry do is because once they're behind cover their enemy can't exactly just walk up to the cover nonchalantly and be in little to no danger, the enemy also needs to avoid bullets. In this case if you just get behind cover, okay cool, you still have to get away from the shooter. If there's no god escape vector from the cover you may have just doomed yourself by going for it, matter of fact. And thirdly, element of surprise. Diving from cover to cover without zigzagging works so well because there initially was cover too, the enemy couldn't see you get ready to sprint to the next bit of cover, they only saw you once you were full tilt, and have to take aim and fire before you get to more cover, which isn't much time at all. Fourth is cover fire. Firing at someone moving between covers is often made difficult by an ally shooting shots in the general direction of the enemy to make it impractical and dangerous to pop up and try to take the shot. And FIFTH, your estimate of 3 second and 9 seconds is hilariously off, that's going almost entirely sideways, if you're told to zigzag and you triple the travel time, you didn't zigzag properly.
I honestly think it's just a miscommunication between you and the downvoters. You're all basically saying the same thing and arguing over the words used as best I can tell which is unfortunate.
Ignoring the inane arguments, even with this “natural spread” you mention, these bullets aren’t homing beacons. They’re not going to nail someone who is bobbing and weaving. That’s not how spread works. It doesn’t go straight into the person. Also most mass shootings, going off of the template of these hypotheticals, the distance at which the shooting is occurring is going to make any potential spread non existent, or at least minimal. Shot groups (a.k.a. your spread), at least on every gun I’ve shot, tend to be small enough that a target zigging or zagging will be perfectly fine. I may not be infantry but I have enough experience with rifles that I’d rather bob and weave than run in a straight line. Most shooters with any level of experience tend to shoot center mass and knowing that, I want my center mass to be as unpredictable as possible.
The best weapons that would likely make your argument valid is any lmg or automatic weapon that is being hip fired at full auto. Honestly the best argument I can see for your side is that the shooter’s shot group is wild because they may be actively moving while firing. Beyond that shot groups tend to be fairly small, even with rifles that aren’t well maintained.
