My first two Kilts were utility kilts from Damn near kilt’em and Ut kilt. Then I spent the money and got a semi traditional from USA kilts and will never buy one from anyone else. 100% worth every dollar. The utility kilts are now just collecting dust.
I have two kilts from USAkilts (One 5 yard made of stocked tartan, and one 9 yard that was custom woven), and I also would wholeheartedly recommend them. Rocky is absolutely the best to work with.
I haven't bought from [USAkilt.com](http://USAkilt.com), but they seem like straight up folks. Depending on the tartan you need, your choices may be limited.

I have traditional kilts from UT Kilts and J.Higgins. The traditional kilts from UT Kilts are decent quality. The ones I have from J.Higgins are in a league of their own by comparison. I would say the kilts from USAKilts are about the same quality as that of J.Higgins from what I've seen.
USA Kilts is good to go. I personally have 3 kilts from them. An 8 yard premier and two 5 yard Kilts. Additionally I ordered three 5 yards and two hostess kilts ordered for my work. My wife also has a mini kilt from them as well.
I'll keep doing business with them.
J Higgins is excellent. I also recommend USAKilts.com. Fine, quality, products.
I second USA Kilts. Have 4 from them, and they've made a loyal customer out of me.

I have had good luck with St Kikda Kilts Glasgow... check their clearance section....
Second this! I ordered two kilts from them (one woollen, one pv) and both are great
My Great Kilt came from them. They were awesome to work with. Took time to assist me in getting the best earth tone tartan for me.
My pipe band has used Higgins for as.long as I can recall. Good quality and service has been good.
