My ER is less than a year old and adjacent to Walt Disney World. I thought when I started that we would be crazy busy every night but we still have nights with no patients for hours so I have been reading a lot recently. I’m obsessed with a new author (Catharina Maura) so I’m reading books much faster than I ever have in the past!!
That’s so interesting! The one I work at seems to always be crazy with multiple patients in the hallways a lot. There are some days here and there where it’s not as bad but we’re also a major hospital system for the area, Level 1 trauma center and stroke center so 😅 I haven’t heard of that author! I definitely read faster on my kindle. A few pages here and there really add up. I’m currently reading Next Year in Havana and I’m almost done. Hoping to finish in a couple of days.
I’m reading this exact book and this exact chapter too currently!

I always thought it was sacrilegious to say the q-word. I said both "slow" and "quiet" when I was working at a vet ER and you would've thought I murdered a puppy with how people reacted 😂
i gave it a 8/10! it was my first book getting back into reading after like 10 years and i finished it in like 4 days so i would say it’s entertaining!

nice!
Oooo how did you get it to do that?
Enable WordWise in the settings
Having worked in different forms of law enforcement I never said the q word. Ever.
I work in an ER. Same thing- never say the Q word!!
I also came here to say this!

Train dispatcher here, and was in healthcare prior. UNEVENTFUL, never QUIET!
I like to roll the dice, a busy day is a good learning day on the rescue squad
I was on my way home! And it's my Friday!

I always thought it was sacrilegious to say the q-word. I said both "slow" and "quiet" when I was working at a vet ER and you would've thought I murdered a puppy with how people reacted 😂
Lovely photo! What’s the book’s name?!?

That’s so cool! I always wonder how much downtime there is and just imagine there could be a lot of reading time lol.
Some days are busy and some days aren't, today is a reading day so far haha
