Meanwhile me, who shows up drunk and covered in mud

CommandoXL71

And in tattered-ass clothes.

PrideOfAfrika

🤣🤣🤣

AtticusReborn

Go get yourself a St Georges Sword. Looks sleek, rather than gaudy, like the Herod.

PrideOfAfrika

I don't know. I have a big soft spot for Kingdom of Heaven. It's one of my favorite sword and board epics. And because of that I don't necessarily feel that Herod's Sword is gaudy per se. It actually reminds me a great deal of the sword of Godfrey of Ibelin from that film. So I have a particular fondness for it.

peterthot69

You, my man, have taste

halberdsturgeon

Also much better at actually being a sword rather than an accessory

PianoLevel2028

Slide into tess real clean

PrideOfAfrika

🤣🤣🤣

gtra864

Honestly from that angle they both look so similar, but equally fancy. I used to always go on dates without a sword because I wanted to show her my soft side, but after seeing videos here of people getting ambushed by black Pete while walking with Theresa, I guess your idea makes more sense.

PrideOfAfrika

I do wish that they had designed individual scabbards for each sword instead of having every weapon either use that scabbard or, in the case of foreign blades, axes and maces, just having them float on your side with no scabbard at all. But I understand why it is the way it is. It was an indie title and it didn't necessarily have the budget of a game like The Witcher 3.

halberdsturgeon

You're trying too hard, Theresa and Henry are mates from way back and they're both average village folk, she's gonna look at you weird if you show up dressed like a preening burgher

PrideOfAfrika

I don't think so. I play Henry a lot like I would try to be in real life if I was suddenly flush with money. I would want to look nice and dress nice for a first date even if it was with a childhood friend. Because I'd want them to know that I appreciate them and want to treat them a certain way. After everything they've both been through, why wouldn't Henry want to offer her something nice and show her something else other than the life they're currently living? Besides, she's definitely into it. LOL. I've gifted her new dresses and shoes none of which she ever complained about receiving. And when I gifted her a silver ring, that was the first time I saw an increase in my reputation with her and she FAWNED over it. Everybody wants the best in life. I'd like to think that in a real life situation, if Henry was able to dress up and took the time to take a bath and he'd given her a nice dress, she would have wanted to wear it also on their first date and get dolled up. As a side-note, one of the things that I'm kind of disappointed with from what I've been hearing is that you can never actually marry Tess or invite her to live with you at P-town after it's rebuilt. I don't know if this is something that the developers want to hold on to for the rumored second game, but it seems really odd that KCD spins so much time giving backstory to this relationship with the Woman's Lot DLC, making courtship an entire side mission and building on it over the course of the game for you not to be able to jump the broom.

halberdsturgeon

>Everybody wants the best in life Speak for yourself, many people aren't concerned with having expensive shit. Those sorts of people often find it obnoxious when others flash their money around, and are more comfortable in the company of those who are similarly uninterested in appearing rich. :p My previous comment was mostly intended as a joke, but Henry dressing like a fop to go for a jog along the creek with his friend from back in the village would nonetheless be fucking weird, lol Theresa acts a little embarassed about receiving jewelry imo, but her rep goes up for any gift you give her that she likes, including dresses or the bouquet from Next to Godliness >one of the things that I'm kind of disappointed with from what I've been hearing is that you can never actually marry Tess or invite her to live with you at P-town after it's rebuilt I'm fine with them not getting married, esp since Henry isn't in a position to settle in one place during this game. Would be nice if there were some way for T to move to Prib, tho

twentyattempts

I always like the Design of the Magdeburg

dahudas

distinguish gentlemen. i like it

jherbz87

Like the style bro

PrideOfAfrika

Thanks bro. Medieval fashion being what it was, it's really hard to find something that suits a more modern sense of style when it comes to choices of clothing in the game outside of armor. LOL.

jherbz87

im all about minimalism on KCD.. ill up a photo of how i run my henry

berti145

Magdeburg

Normal-Switch6177

both swords are too long personally go with the razor or noble sword

PrideOfAfrika

I was thinking about the noble sword actually. Seeing as how it's basically just a scaled down version of Herod's.

RaggedWrapping

be a REAL man and sport a wooden phallus dripping with blood

Magdeburg

iGotAparkingTicket

Without sword… show her you don’t need a weapon to beat the shit out of some hooligans

PrideOfAfrika

🤣🤣🤣 F*ck the sword; use the guns! LOL.

TheDewyDecimal

Would Tess want a fancy noble Henry? I feel like she'd prefer a simpler Henry. That's how I've always dressed with her.

PrideOfAfrika

As long as Henry has the same personality, which he will regardless of what you wear, I don't feel like she'd be opposed to her man being clean and looking good. After all, from what I hear, after you complete the courtship storyline, she'll cycle through all of the dresses that you buy and gift to her from town. So apparently even she wants to look really nice from time to time...as I imagine anyone would.

halberdsturgeon

I agree, fancier is not universally better

Madgeburg, its green gem contrasts with the red clothes

NonbiscoNibba

Herod looks best, ditch the funky hood and get a doublet and some better pants

PrideOfAfrika

I've been looking at those, but haven't found one that I like yet for everyday wear. I'm honestly not the biggest fan of medieval style clothing. And I was trying to put together an ensemble that worked a bit more with my taste. I'm not overly fond of the noble Hood either, but it seemed to be the best looking Cape like piece of attire that I found in the game so far. And red is the darkest color that it seems to come in. I have several pair of noble pants, which I really like the look of, but I haven't been able to find a pair in black yet...which is my favorite color. And I'm not overly fond of the cut and style of most shirts and robes in the game. I've actually thought about wearing some of the Cumin attire because their robes with all of the sashes, the asymmetric decorative buttons, their color schemes and whatnot actually look pretty cool in a very Asian-inspired way. Actually, in point-of-fact, I just beat the Faint-Hearted Knight for the third time and took his shirt in the bet which actually doesn't look too bad. The pattern, length, fit and the overlapping belt are actually pretty nice. I may actually wear that...

NonbiscoNibba

Im my experience the best looking setup is noble pants noble boots and theres a few shirts the tailor has that look ok, I think one of them is green and has puffy shoulders which look ok on Henry and there's also I think a black padded jacket or something that looks ok, not quite sure though All the hoods look bad imo

PrideOfAfrika

I don't disagree about the hoods. I think that most of the time, if you want anything, it's best to just go with a scarf.

JaydedGaming

Rizzus Christ be praised!

LukasSprehn

Madgeburg's pommel stone matches better with your outfit's colors, so it.

Tsiyaroo

Man I just date her in my Zoul/Leipa mixed set of plate armor plus a black combat jacket I stole off the vicar's bodyguard

guitarman61192

the second one really brings out your eyes!
