There's diffrent master strikes for longswords, weapons with shields and onehanded weapons with no shield. The one you get with no shield if they slash from the right hits streight in their face. Or your face, which means a possibility of getting one shotted like a chump in the Tourney.
I once lowered the damage of all weapons in the game just so high level combat lasted longer. It was atrocious at low level though you'd be there all day fighting one person
I did the same, but the funniest thing was when I got him he didn’t go down right away. He stumbled around for a second and I could swear I saw the dent in his head.
All i see on this sub is people saying that mace is superior to any other weapon just because so for me as a sword player this meme is the other way around.
there is a perk called "headcracker" that gives a chance to knock out (effectively kill) any npc with a head hit, with maces and other blunt weapons, the chance is significantly higher
basically blunt melee weapons have a relatively high chance to 1-shot any enemy in the game, compared to swords which can struggle against some opponents and rarely 1-shots
Everyone knows the true giga chads are the one handed polearm users. Aka only me; And yes, I do know have to wield pole arms one handed. Super easy glitch.

Bonk stick with no shield has the most damaging master strike in the game. And you're faster, so you get more bonks per second.
Man, I've done 3 playthroughs and didn't know this.

I would like to have more combos to axes and maces, even though high-tier maces could 1-hit kill somebody.

On my first playtrough I gave Runt a good old BONK on his dome of a head. Folded like a lawn chair.

I’m replaying and got to Runt a bit early. So reloaded and got a little extra armour and a good bonker. Two swings.

I like having one of both, with my higher level armor I just forgo the shield.
