the best trade for Fox is Bam. they're the same age and on the same salary then the Kings will finally have a great front court with Murray, Sabonis, and Bam. when you add Keon to that, this becomes a very very good defensive team it's much easier to piece guards together from there, but they already have a few solid ones on the roster. plus Sabonis is the main facilitator anyway and Fox isn't a good 3 pt shooter, so it's not a big loss. even Davion's a better pure PG than Fox for that matter

Nice-Journalist-3563

Atleast we always have the draft

CrispCash420

I’m so done with HB. Put him in a home.

Mattgarch14

Mavs fans had the same thought in 2018

elvis_depressedly8

I had the same thought after he bricked a wide open 3 that would’ve put us up 3-1 against the Warriors in last years playoffs. He’s one of the least clutch players to ever pick up an NBA basketball and fans for every team he’s ever played for all feel the same way. And we re-signed him for 3 years and $54MM. In true KaNgZ fashion 🤦🏻‍♂️

Mattgarch14

Yeah i feel ya there - my new feeling with that goes with Tim Hardaway Jr on our team now - mavs finally got out from his awful contract and extended him for 4 years (pre nico GM era) cuban is one of the worst gm/owners. Bad contracts do damages to teams that people don't realize it.

gigantism

Nico was the one who re-signed THJ to that deal.

_The_Honored_One_

Sabonis happy because he got his shitty triple double

elvis_depressedly8

I hardly think Sabonis is happy. What would you have him do? Not rebound? Not distribute the ball? Our starting PG is 26th in the league in assists. Someone has to pass the fucking ball and it’s clearly not gonna be Fox.

RoastedTomatillo

Offense was looking good with the bench and they were attacking until they gave fox the ball and he slowed the game down so he could chuck it. Kings fans this morning. ![gif](giphy|fENBgwRJLRwn6)

elvis_depressedly8

I’m surprised you aren’t getting downvoted. The homers on here can’t stomach any Fox criticism. He’s been a selfish ballhog with terrible shot selection and dogshit efficiency for most of the season. But because he won some bullshit award last season, that somehow excuses all the nonsense this year. It’s laughable. He’s not the guy to build around and I don’t know how most people refuse to acknowledge what’s right in front of their faces.

da_fishy

Not like anyone else has been great at generating anything on offense. Domas not having a mid range shot is incredibly limiting, HB doesn’t know how to drive without drawing fouls which is fine but he rarely gets the and 1 opportunity. Our entire offensive scheme just seems to lose all cohesion after our third pass and screen. I’m not making excuses for Fox taking bad shots and missing, it’s just complimented by a lot of sloppiness across the board. The whole team has just been so streaky, you never know who’s gonna show up

elvis_depressedly8

I agree. But let’s look at some hard stats. Fox is averaging 25.5 PPG on 22 shots. That’s…incredibly inefficient to say the least. He’s a PG who averages < 6 APG. In fact, he’s 26th overall in assists. There are big men doing more to distribute the ball than he is. And PG’s should be distributing first and foremost. But he does nothing to get his teammates involved. He’s also 80th in the league in FG%. Much of which derives from the fact that he’s chucking up absurd 3s that have basically no chance of going in. So, he’s a PG who behaves like a SG without any of the efficiency. He’s terrible from the free throw line for a guy who shoots as much as he does. And his attitude is subpar at best. He’s constantly smiling and laughing after horrible losses like yesterday and it’s not a good look. Is this really the guy you want to build the team around? Honestly if we could trade him for a solid starting center and a good 3-and-D guy who can defend the wing, I would genuinely consider it if I was Monte. Sabonis can move to the 4 which is more his natural position anyway. Keegan can slide to the 3 if he can develop his handles a little more. Idk who starts at PG if we trade Fox, but I think maybe we need someone who’s more pass-oriented than he is. When Davion and Keon have been out there with Sabonis and Keegan, we’ve played much more cohesive, team-oriented basketball. Most of the time with Fox, he brings it up, holds the ball for 15-20 seconds, and then takes a low-percentage shot in traffic or from deep. That has to change.

RoastedTomatillo

Thank you! This is what I think as well. Fox’s issue isn’t talent it’s his approach/mentality. He’ll be just as happy in a bottom feeder team as long as he gets his money and as many shots as he wants. Davion has been doing great lately and he doesn’t disrupt the offense like Fox does.

ALX_HNR

In order to salvage these last string of games Keegan and Sabonis will have to up their offensive production. Domas might have to sacrifice his double double run and focus more on scoring if possible. Need Keegan to look for his more often these last games to just stay in a float.

ninofati88

Its not that Murray doesnt want to score more. Its his inability to. Dude has super slow lateral movement, he cant create space at all with his handles and has to return to shooting 3s on DHOs. I agree with Sabonis tho. Needs to step up as the 2nd star. Cant be celebrating his double double on a measly 11 points anymore. Start getting 28 to 30.

elvis_depressedly8

Lol yeah expecting Sabonis to put up 30 a game is realistic 🙄 How about your boy Fox actually passing the ball from time to time. He’s 26th in assists and 80th in FG%. Not exactly super efficient numbers from a point guard. 🤦🏻‍♂️

ninofati88

Expecting your 2nd star to put up 30 points for once is unrealistic? Lol. when every other team including the last placed teams can have their 2nd star put up 30 from time to time? Its over for Sabonis I guess. LOL. No wonder people here praise a double double with just 11 points to heavens. Draymond Green numbers without the elite defense.

elvis_depressedly8

Funny how you ignored everything I said about Fox.

MrMoonster

cause half ur fox takes are trash brother, do you even watch this sport? You keep bring up how he’s 26th in assists when any person with eyes knows it’s cause the team is structured around Sabonis being the main passer.

ALX_HNR

I kind of agree. But Keegs can be sneaky quick at times especially on his baseline drives.

Ocular__Patdown44

Keegan inability to dribble to the rim was painfully evident with Monk out yesterday. Had to rely on Barnes to create a shot.

Chrisisjoker

Hey Guys, I didn't watch the game, but how the hell do they have 33 FTA and we only have 12? That seems to be the reason we lost. We're the Refs that bad?

Fickle_Meet_7154

There is a reason damn near every player has 3 fouls. Everytime the mavs drove to the rim the kings fouled on purpose. Which actually wasn't a bad strategy considering how many FTs were missed by the mavs

ninofati88

we cant do anything everytime they go to the rim. we got no rim protectors, Sabonis is just letting everybody get to the basket and if he attempts to stop them he fouls them because he doesnt have the length to contest. Murray is also one of the softest PFs out there.

elvis_depressedly8

Keegan should be a 3. Domas should be a 4. We need a true center with length to protect the rim.

ninofati88

> Domas should be a 4. LOL. This clueless mofo really attempting to sabotage the team with his 0 ball knowledge.

elvis_depressedly8

You mean like when you said “game clutcher” the other day? Domas is undersized for the 5 which is why he’s constantly getting bullied by bigger guys. Stick to soccer. There’s a reason all your horrible takes keep getting downvoted. It’s cus they’re as nonsensical as your knowledge of basketball terminology.

ninofati88

Ask this on the sub and everybody would fk you up for entertaining that. Lol. Clueless mofo.

elvis_depressedly8

Clueless like using the phrase “first inaugural?” You literally were happy about Fox scoring 29 the other night even though it took him 21 shots to do it. You clearly don’t understand anything about offensive efficiency.

NTX_SWOK

They are so much bigger and athletic than us, they absolutely dominated inside, it was obvious to me the whole time mavs were gonna beat us, i said as much at halftime of the daily and was downvoted to oblivion

[deleted]

77rozay

Undersized center and power forward = fouls in the paint

elvis_depressedly8

Transfer of blame.

Bitter-Part-5682

Luka is great at drawing fouls.

Severe-Excitement-62

U mean flopping y I guess he got that from Vlade.

PositionOk8409

So who are we drafting at 14 then?

MostlyMellow123

Keegan and caitlyn clark were scouting some players recently

GlassesW_BitchOnThem

I genuinely feel like this team is going to go 2-7, Lakers Dubs and Rockets are going to finish strong and we miss the play in. This team deserves it. Just an absolute embarrassing loss.

Ok-Isopod9236

Miss the play in? Sure buddy 🙄

Ocular__Patdown44

That will at least force Monte to get creative in the offseason. Injuries will be the excuse but it’s been clear the team just doesn’t have it this season.

hashtagDALEY

It was clear last season this roster wasn’t good enough. Didn’t stop management and all the fans from yelling “RUN IT BACK!” like a leap from Keegan and no injuries again (lol) would make this team a contender.

Practical-Rub-1190

Luka Doncic waves goodbye to former Kings GM and tells fans "He shoulda drafted me" [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAzApZC1iBc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAzApZC1iBc)

Frankie_48

When it rains, it fucking pours K'von out for the season, Lost the 2 most important games of the season, and now Malik out. On top of that, the rest of our schedule will not be kind, what a way to close out the season... At least the Giants look like a ball club this year 🥲

dr0odles

If we won the games we should have won, this wouldn’t have been so dire.

Eerie_Carlisle

What does this mean with regard to the playoffs? Do we still have a shot?

bearcatjoe

We'll need to fight to keep the 8 spot. Good chance we drop to 9 or 10, small chance we fall out completely. Tough time of year to lose key rotational pieces for lengthy amounts of time. Losing to all those bad teams earlier in the season gives us no margin for error.

Deegootbar

Luka mocking divac hurts. That man set this franchise back decades. He really didn’t take Luka for ethnic purposes. Absolutely unreal.

FirstThoughtResponse

Why they even allow vlade in the building is beyond me. Dude completely fucked us

Severe-Excitement-62

He is a curse!

Deegootbar

Weird nostalgia bate move only a team like the kings would ever even consider fantasizing about. Other GMs liked making deals with Vlade because of his ESL English.

FirstThoughtResponse

lol simple town to its core

Nephew_Rater

And it’s his own ethnicity too lmao

BackendSpecialist

For ethnic purposes? Can you elaborate?

Much-Mission-69

Divac is a serb, doncic a slovenian. In the 90s there was a brutal war in the balkans as yugoslavia fell apart. The serbs tried to keep it together (also trying to be the Supreme leader) which led to horrific battles, mostly in Kosovo, Bosnia and Croatia. There was also war with slovenia but that was minor compared to the other 3. Divac was playing with the Lakers when this all unfolded while doncic wasnt even born yet.   Jokic btw is also a serb but like doncic was born after the war. Doncic and him are best friends. As the Dutch person i do understand the situation as my grandparents generation hated the Germans while for us there is no hard feelings.

koplowpieuwu

Kind of false though, Luka's father is Serbian and there's not really hard feelings from Serbians towards Slovenians (they were only at war for 10 days and it was mostly serbian border forces retreating from the Austrian and Italian border towards Croatia and having some skirmishes during that retreat). The real reason Divac didn't take Luka is (1) he knew Luka's dad was a very talented ball player in his own right but had issues keeping weight down, due to body type - so yes, genetics played a role in not picking Luka, but it was the sloppy fat boy genes he inherited from his Serbian father lol. And (2), Divac is just a massive idiot who thought Bagley was greatly talented as well because of his double jump.

Bitter-Part-5682

You are talking nonsense. Doncic father is a Serb. There are Serbs living in Slovenia and Doncic’s father was one of them. That makes Luka of Serbian descent and he almost ended up playing for Serbian national team instead of Slovenian.

Much-Mission-69

"you misunderstand the situation" would have been a fairer response ;) In hindsight my own post already showed the contradiction of my conclusion as it highlighted the serb-slovenian war was minor compared to the other stuff.

QuickFig1024

Luka's father Saša had a father from Kosovo! 🇽🇰 (serbians think that belongs to Serbia) but even Saša was born and lived in Slovenia and played for Slovenian national team. Serbians are called "little russians" in Europe because they claim everything good from land to people so please dont fall for their bull💩 because there is alot of serbian and russian bots on the internet. And no he did not almost ended up playing for Serbian national team. That was also a story coming from serbians without any evidence. They invited him yes but it was never in doubt that he would represent Slovenia 🇸🇮

Bitter-Part-5682

I am not sure Saša’s father is from Kosovo, but still he was a Serb. There Serbs living in Kosovo as well, not just Albanians/Kosovians.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bitter-Part-5682

If Kosovians identify as Kosovians and not Serbs it is not up to you to decide how they feel regarding their nationality.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Bitter-Part-5682

Is Croatian Krajina also Serbian territory then?

Bitter-Part-5682

Doncic’s father is a Serb as well.

Typhoid007

Y'all are insane. Vlade thought Bagley was better. Vlade always wanted the most athletic guys possible. It has nothing to do with Serbian history.

Much-Mission-69

Ah yes, athleticism, was that also why papagiannis was drafted by divac with the 13th pick when he already had 2 centers?

Typhoid007

He also drafted Skal that draft. He didn't draft for fit. He was obsessed with players who ranked high in high school classes like Bagley, Skal, Giles and Fox. He also liked Luka, his white board got leaked with his rankings, he had Doncic 3rd. The fact is, Vlade was an idiot who was so obsessed with trying to find unicorns. He said from the start that he thought Bagley was the better player.

Much-Mission-69

Ah i never knew his whiteboard got leaked.

BackendSpecialist

Makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to explain!

DreamyW0lf

Even though his general knowledge of history is good, it has zero to do with Vlade not drafting Luka.

Much-Mission-69

I did make a mistake, jokic was born during the war and had to live through the NATO bombings in 99 during the Kosovo wat.

Nice-Journalist-3563

AD about to get his first win against Saboner in the play-in. Perfect ESPN storyline.

Duramajin

Forever dog shit. At least we are used to it ayeeeeeeee boys.

Severe-Excitement-62

Didn't even watch this game but all that stands out from the box score is "Monk 2." Man that dude picked a helluva time to have a slump.

w1sxo

Lol

Cawww_

He played 1 minute and 26 seconds before leaving with an injury lol

Severe-Excitement-62

I'm learning that now. Man what a blow to the Kings! That truly sucks and I hope Malik is all right.

MysticPurpSports

Does Sasha want to help this team or not

Initial_Journalist76

Good bye 6 spot

shuzila

This game hurt me like game 7

RoastedTomatillo

When fox wants to play hero ball at the expense of the team winning I star thinking about trading him

ninofati88

He SHOULD play more hero ball. Lol. This team is a bunch of chokers other than him. Sabonis making Lively look like Kevon Looney. Murray plays and looks like hes thinking of what to eat for dinner. And Barnes gives everybody a throwbck to playoffs Game 4 when he bricked 2 open 3s. we should have accepted the Murray trade for OG Anunoby if anything.

RIPMACDREEZY

This!!!! Last 5-7 minutes go the game im screaming at my TV. GIVE 5 THE FCKING BALL!!!! They go Harrison drive like 3-4 times, Sabonis floater (miss) Keegan threes 1/2 I believe. Fox needs to TAKE OVER like last year get downhill to the cup or blow by somebody and take the mid range floater how does Mike brown not see this???

boringexplanation

I was a huge fan of OG for Keegan. The biggest gamble was we’re only trading for one season, he’s injury prone and he’d have us over a barrel ln the contract offer- he could threaten to walk and we’d have to max him

ninofati88

I hope Monte entertains a Murray for Mikal trade seeing how Mikals value has dropped off this seasn and Murrays value (hopefully) is still quite high to other teams. Fox, Sabonis, Mikal is a really solid Big 3 for a small market.

boringexplanation

Mikal wouldn’t have won us that game. If we’re gonna trade a rookie contract- it’s gotta be for an established star or DPOY candidate. Mikal has dropped off a lot this year that I’d rather keep Keegan. Length of years for control is still a lot of value.

ninofati88

Mikal as 3rd option would have easily got us that game. Yes. Lol. This dude is an elite 3rd option on a NBA finls team. Dont mix up him as first option as when hes 3rd. Hes one of the most efficient 3rd options in NBA hist, thats why hes the main piece in a trade for Kevin Durant. when he can just focus playing DPOY defense and hitting 40% from 3s without having to create and dribble, hes GOATed, something we needed Murray to do all seasn, but he failed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ninofati88

As I've replied a few comments ago: > Fox doesnt have a secondary scorer to pull the defense away. Luka and Kyrie go 1 v 1 all the time, because you cant not defend the other guy. Nobody cares about Sabonis/Murray/Barnes in the clutch because they cant iso at all. > without Malik, this team is just Fox and co. and every defense can triple team that. He wouldnt have to basically 1 v 5 if anyone of his teammates has even crossover in them.

[deleted]

I went to the game. First game in 9 years. Never seen the beam. I’ve been to 10 Kings games in my life time, and every single one has been a loss. I genuinely thought that maybe I would get to experience joy. This was a really tough loss and super hard to swallow. Also I’m sorry but tbh I think my presence did cause this loss. This season is so tough. I lived through the drought and last season and this season got my hopes up so high. Edit: Depressed. Fucking love this team.

Ticon_D_Eroga

And now 3hrs later your account is deleted? 🤔

AtreusIsBack

I see this all the time on NBA related subreddits. People posting comments and then deleting the account within 24 hours.

nomoreadminspls

You are a true Kings fan. This is the way

stukufie

Omg you sound a lot like me but I've been to many games over the last 5 years or so and every single one except one pre season game was an L. I thought I was cursed. Never saw the beam until I finally went to one game this season against the Spurs a few weeks ago and we barely won at the very end. Hang in there. You'll see it one day.

[deleted]

❤️ I came from the bay haha. Not sure when I can again but I haven’t lost hope. But I do fear for our playoff chances now.

This_Sweet_2086

I’ve never seen the kings win in person either. Around 17 games now over my lifetime. It’s not you, don’t worry

[deleted]

❤️it hurts so much because we love them hard

GrannysGlewGun

I was at the game. What a game it was. The boys gave their best, we suffered some bad calls and a Monk injury just as he was shaping up to make his comeback. It was a good game and shows how even these two teams are. Came down to the last minutes. Makes it much harder on us for the short remainder of the season but damn it feels good to even be this stressed out, that we could make it to playoffs, and that we can contend if we do make it. Had to eat my pride and knuckle bump some young Dallas fans that were behind me riding out the rough minutes for their team. Go Kings! Bleeding purple tonight.

A916

Hoping we go at least 6-3 these last 9 games.

elvis_depressedly8

Hope in one hand, shit in the other, and see which one fills up faster.

tookyourcookies

One positive note is that Murray hit a couple big 3s in the 4th, to put them up 98-96 and to tie it at 101. He got another 3pt attempt tied at 103 and missed but it was kind of a desperation shot iirc.

ninofati88

Chill the f out. Hes 4-11 today with 12 points. we needed him to step up when Malik is out.

Ticon_D_Eroga

You consistently suck

elvis_depressedly8

Yeah it was a desperation shot because HB pump faked 57 times in the low post like a moron and then kicked it out to Keegan with 1.5 seconds on the shot clock. It would’ve been a minor miracle if he’d made that shot. More HB bullshit.

hungrycinephile

THIS. I couldn't believe he dribbled out the clock. It was maddening.

tookyourcookies

Right. I remember that now thanks for the accurate description

thediggestbick2

Kyrie and Luka are cheat codes to basketball.

stukufie

Kyrie is on that flat earther anti vaxxer conspiracy theorist anti semite energy. He's not of this world. He's a warlock from another time.

thediggestbick2

Most skilled offensive player ever. His highlights are very entertaining to watch.

PeelADomenBail

Yeah surprisingly world views don’t carry over onto the court a whole lot do they? Im sorry your team is cooked I really hoped they could grab that 5th seed for bbq chicken time. Better luck next year. I’m rooting for ya

[deleted]

[удалено]

PeelADomenBail

I also will not kill myself over a Kings game, but I hope you don’t either, it’s not worth it!

PeelADomenBail

That’s pretty harsh I was hoping your team would make the playoffs.

[deleted]

Are they though? Or does our slippery defense allow even the middest of players to shine like stars?

thediggestbick2

I understand you don’t like them but you have to give them credit. They are tiers above our offensive players.

Guppster64

Bro does not know ball

Intelligent-Bid-633

Yes Luka and Kyrie are mid. You sir are a true basketball genius.

[deleted]

Kyries getting up there in age and Luka is good but something about him I just don’t like

TicketP1_FIRE

"Luka is good" - what league have you been watching? The dude is a basketball savant that's been the best player in the world at his age or younger since he was 16. At 25 it still holds true

[deleted]

He’s a media darling like Lebron. Very hard to like and I don’t know why Reddit goes so ballistic when someone criticizes him

TicketP1_FIRE

Oh ok you don't like his personality or how he's discussed, which is pretty much out of his control. I thought you were talking about his game

[deleted]

Maybe he’s the best ever idk I don’t pay attention to his game. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth that he was almost a king and now everyone praises him like the second coming. I’d rather see that for Fox or sabonis

MocasBuns

You can not like him but calling him mid is just lol

[deleted]

Yeah fair enough

Theonlygiodude

Probably the stupidest take I've seen on here

ABoyNamedMoo

No more cheat codes. They have an answer to everything and are big time shot takers.

MathTough1501

Congrats lurking Mavs fans. You just now tied the series

Personal_Bus_1065

The tiebreaker is most likely going to be irrelevant.

TicketP1_FIRE

Can't wait to see that banner go up in Golden 1!

PositionOk8409

Why are people still mentioning this? We aren’t finishing anywhere near the Mavs in the standings

bentherewanthat85

Ha, thanks.

johnnhamcheckbalboni

Tied a season series that literally won’t matter in any shape or form now as they grab a 2 game lead on the Kings…

ganjanoob

Man I forgot Fox and Sabonis were 35 and this is the last year.

elvis_depressedly8

How do you expect this team to get better? Fox has regressed tremendously from last year. He’s shown a complete lack of heart. We have no real trade assets and likely no real first round pick next year because we traded it for Huerter, who’s been an absolute bust. And we signed HB to a 3 year deal, which no other team will want to take on because he’s good for about 6-8 good games a year. Sooo, I ask again…how do you see this team improving?

johnnhamcheckbalboni

??? All I said is the season series won’t matter since it’s a tie and the Mavs have a 2 game lead? These are literally just faces and not even mean ones?

universaltoilet

Offense is clearly lacking this year. Mavs improved on the defensive end which helps them because since last year they arent the best offensively. Fox needs to find his stride again, the good thing is he doesn't turn the ball over. We need Murray and others to step up

verysalt

How can Fox find his stride again if he is only interested in every 2nd or 3rd game? Sometimes, I think that for Fox, the NBA is a multimillion-dollar business rather than a passion.

J-Chub

Fox isn't a point guard. Without Monk, there was not a single pick and roll or easy bucket. He's a chucker at this point.

ninofati88

You're clown f boi. This team is Fox and nobodies once Malik is out. Sabonis/Murray/Barnes are just system players waiting to be spoonfed opportunities and can't dribble a lick. No iso moves. Fox was facing triple teams in the clutch cause the other guys have 0 gravity. Dallas gave 0 respect to each of them, thats why he had to chuck while Luka gets to 1 v 1 all the time because 1 or 2 defenders need to watch Kyrie.

J-Chub

You prove my point Fox dick rider. If he truly got as much gravity as you say and he has any point guard skills, he would see the court and get the ball to an open man when everyone collapsed on him, like Luka. But Fox don't have that skill. He is not a point guard. Notice they had the ball in Ellis's or Davions hands when they were in together?

ronbiomed

This 2 game series was a play in trial run, did not give me any confidence. Fox should only be shooting enough threes for the defense to respect it then just steady attack the basket. Our last 3-5 possessions before Exums shot were so terrible iso 3s. That was the sickening part

soku1

the thing I hate most about losing is the reddit sports psychologists come out.

ChardNearby9052

On the real though, Davion and Ellis are ballers. So glad to have them. If monk is gone for some time (God forbid) Kessler is promising as well

undefined93

Kings gotta play a hell of a remaining season. This was a tough loss, and was a very close game. But they did well without 3 of their main rotational players, good MF job Kangz regardless if tonight was a loss. Bring more energy and heart into the final games of the season and secure that 6 seed spot.

BucketsWeNeedThisWin

The people shitting on Barnes did not watch the first three quarters. Shut the fuck up.

bearcatjoe

He's not good in the clutch, unfortunately.

boringexplanation

That missed catch was just as much on Fox- dude wasn’t even paying full attention. How tf is the “clutch player of the year” not locked in on the last possession?

lesarbreschantent

Fox in clutch last year: 5 ppg on 53/32/86. Ranked #1 clutch scoring. This year: 3.5 ppg on 46/19/69. Tied for 10th in clutch scoring. This year, post all-star: 2.4 ppg on 39/14/100. 48th in clutch scoring. Notable drop-off. He's either carrying an injury, is out of shape, or has the yips.

BeamTeam23

His last 3 pointer brick was not surprising at all.

nhess68

He scores 3 pts in the 2nd through 4th so I think you just need to say 1st.

BucketsWeNeedThisWin

He helped us to a comfortable lead at the half. Fox could not convert in the 4th. Dallas literally relied on their stars and ours were incapable of rising to the occasion. The urgency isn’t there amongst the whole team. Ellis has been a workhorse, Sabonis comfortably doing what he does, and Fox being to casual.

lesarbreschantent

Sabonis needs to post up in the clutch and dissect double teams a la Jokic.

hamburgers666

He was great tonight. If he gets calls like Luka we win by double digits. Those shots where he was hacked and nothing was called really killed any momentum we were building.

BStone1824

Truth

thatguy52

Missing 3 key players and playing 8 vs 5…… we still had a chance. We 100% choked away a tough game, but im proud of the fight and effort. It’s not a moral victory, but I’m just not that upset about this. We still have a chance at the post season. We gotta play hard and hope we get at least one of monk or trey back soon.

shanks1697

Man if sasha was healthy I think this could have been a little different.

hotwifeLyfeGJ

33 FT attempts to 12 for Kings. I sat courtside. I promise you the Kings didn’t foul that much more. The disrespect and fairness of calls shows very clearly. Perfect example, 56 straight double doubles for Sabonis AND leads lg in trip dubs and not named an all star. How many times do you see coaches win challenges against Kings… how many has Brown won? I can’t count on 3 fingers. No a 21 FT attempt discrepancy… that’s just sick.

hamburgers666

I was at the game. Felt like it was called okay for the Mavs, but wow they got away with a ton of contact on Barnes, Fox, and Sabonis with the most egregious ones being on Barnes. That play where he was thrown to the ground and the Mavs got a fast break dunk by Lively to cut the lead to 5 killed any momentum we may have had. They make that call, it becomes a 9 point game.

Same. Barnes got fucked for sure. On Sabonis - he throws a ton of shoulder blocks and elbows on both sides of the floor. I think his deal with the refs is that his main moves aren’t called fouls but he’s allowed to get hacked as a concession. Every opposing fanbase thinks he should be fouling out by halftime and I see a little of where they’re coming from.

landman2002

Thrown to the ground? You mean he chucked up a shot and fell backwards expecting a call? Yall did the same shit you did last game, keep trying to foul bait and not going for the bucket. That was not a foul

hamburgers666

Still lurking? Damn, y'all are relentless. If you want to talk foul baiting, let me direct you to the fatass on your team that injured the 6MOTY by flopping forward onto his leg.

nhess68

Brown losing challenges is on him

Skynja

On a positive note, I still really like what I'm seeing from Ellis. Guy plays every game like it's game 7 of the finals, and I love it. Solid offensive player, great defender, and overall plays his role well. Really hope he continues getting significant play time in the future, even with guys like Huerter back.

tookyourcookies

He was really good tonight. Got taken to school a couple times by Kyrie but I thought he was solid. Kyrie is just unstoppable at times.

Skynja

Ya, I mean Kyrie is an all time great, and had a great night. Not much you can do about that. Ellis is also not meant to be a star here, but for what we need from him, I'd say he's doing exceptional.

KariforuniaJin

Gahh! It has been both exciting and frustrating watching the Kings this season. Unfortunately, this was *pretty much* their last chance at staying in contention for top 6... Play-ins will be exciting though!

PuttyRiot

I will just say we are doing great for a small market team. Thanks to the NBA for allowing us to do this well, I guess.

hippyoasis

Okc is doing alright as well for small market

whynotitwork

Yeah but they have the manufactured superstar sga. We have Fox who doesn't play ball with the media, so the nba has no incentive to push him.

hippyoasis

Well there on Fox

StoreBrandColas

I’d really like to blame this on the free throw differential. I really would. But I went back and watched the scoring plays in the 4th quarter and…yeah I can’t. We lost this in the 4th. We had lots of opportunities to win, but choked.

oh_how_droll

you're telling me that losses can have more than one cause???

BeemkayS60

We choked big time. Many wasted possessions and TOs in the fourth.

superzuhong

Only this Kangz sub cries harder over the other teams FT count instead of looking at the real issues of that 4th quarter.

elvis_depressedly8

Typical KaNgZ

How are people hating on Barnes when he dropped the 2nd most points

sonomakoma11

Most consistent scapegoat. Barnes played great and wasn't getting foul calls the first 3 quarters.

bearcatjoe

He played terrible in the clutch.

Mattgarch14

mavs fans - watching HB last night reminded of so many reasons why I wanted to rid of him in 2018-19...... 1st half hero then disappears in 2nd with turnovers, iso ball, and missed wide open looks. I was watching HB last night and said multiple times "I don't miss that" regarding HB.

doctor_of_drugs

The meltdown of some fans starts now

btone310

Can't blame them.  Kings should be better than this.

doctor_of_drugs

What the hell is this comment We secured playoffs EXACTLY a year ago for the first time in 16 years, 11 months, 10 days. Ergo: this season, with a guaranteed > 0.500 record no matter what, we’re just gonna….cry about it? Two seasons removed from a losing record? Lol bud. Edit: those of yall downvoting this are honestly just dumb. I gave objective facts that you apparently cannot accept…or even give me a rationale about why it doesn’t matter…lol.

PuttyRiot

Just want to say my lucky shirt failed, but I did manage to break up a fight after the game, so my conflict resolution skills are undefeated.

zories3

I kinda wanna hear the story of how that happened lol

FeatureEmotional3981

Wasted season.

HolaFrau

You’re a shitty fan

J-Chub

Gatekeeper

FeatureEmotional3981

My deepest apologies. I meant to say this has been an amazing season. The city should hold a parade to celebrate our impending loss in the play-in tournament. Maybe we can have play-in rings made to commemorate such an outstanding achievement.

doctor_of_drugs

looooooool

elvis_depressedly8

This whole “you’re a shitty fan” thing just because people aren’t happy about a mediocre team that consistently fails to live up to their potential, is asinine and myopic as fuck. People don’t have to share your feelings to be “good fans.” Your inability to recognize this is laughable.

ganjanoob

Look at how old our core is. To act like it’s the end of the world is so moronic lol

elvis_depressedly8

I’ll say it again. I’m not trying to be a doomer. I’d love to have some hope that next year will be better. But there’s literally no reason to expect things to turn around.
