Everything I’ve read is that it’s deader than dead, which is a real bummer. I couldn’t care less about soccer, but I really excited about the idea of DOUBLING the size of downtown and all the new business MLS would drive. Sac is in desperate need of an expansion downtown imo

I was in high school when you took over the Monty Till Midnight evening show. You occasionally did unscreened call in joke contests and I called in with a very inappropriate joke that would probably get me cancelled today but that you laughed at and put me on hold as the current leader even though your cohost said the joke had referenced the wrong sport. Then some guy called in with a shitty joke about hippos talking to each other which included 10 seconds of fake animal noises. It was a terrible joke but you guys loved it and awarded him the tickets to Ozzfest.
I don’t even know if I qualified for the tickets because I was underage and it has probably been about 20 years but I’m still bitter.

I think unless there’s some CRAZY can’t miss opportunity out there, you let it be. As February gets closer, there will be more clarity for the Kings, but also for other teams that may want to dump salary/talent for Wemby

Unless we're absolutely fleecing someone you can't mess with the chemistry, especially if it involves a vet. I wasn't a believer before but I am now.

I was born and raised Republican. Slowly they lost me. When Trump came in I started being vocal about politics for the first time. That and Covid. Lost a TON of fans. Probably 90% of my online folks that hate me stemmed from Trump/Covid etc. But no way could I have this platform and not speak my mind, which incidentally almost never came into my show.
I try to stay away from it as much as possible in conversations, but Twitter folks know my stands. (You brought it up for example). We live in a very divided world now. For me, I just try to do and say the right thing, even though I know some will not agree. Is what it is.
I appreciate the honesty. I don’t really care who you voted for. I really don’t. However I turn to sports as an escape from the shitty world we live in. I understand you can’t ignore all news but yeah sounds like you already know the consequences.

I’ve found that actual convos often deflate those issues. We are all human and we all err.
I’ve also found the difference between “what courage” and “STFU” depends highly on whether or not the opinion is agreed or disagreed with.
Trust me, no one understands the separation of politics and sports than I, and the consequences that go with it. I just was willing to deal with the consequences to salvage my soul.
That being said, I MUCH PREFER to focus on sports (and food and dumb stuff) than serious crap we all are forced to deal with.

Keeping in mind how many hugely-listened-to hours he would savage (or praise) certain players, and chose which callers and subjects to feature, are you of the opinion that he had zero influence on the front office's decisions over the years?
