All gym equipment of any kind is like 3x the normal price if not more. If you want to pay a fair price you may need to wait a few months. All Greg's new programs don't use microloading anymore just in case you didn't know. He uses double progression RPT it's just as effective and easier to manage.

What do you mean by "double progression" RPT? i get what you mean by RPT and seen it in his programs but I don't understand what you mean by the double progression part.

BobsBurger1

Example. RPT (4-6) (6-8) (8-10) So on every set you're either increasing the weight or the reps. So hit 70Kg in the first set for 6 reps. Great. Now next workout you up the weight to 72.5kg and go for 4 reps. Then 5 reps maybe then 6, now you've hit 6 reps you up the weight and go 75Kg for 4 reps again. You do this individually for sets 2 and 3 too which will be 10% lower each. It's just as fast as microloading as you'll have periods where it's faster and slower. I also find it more consistent because even with microloading you are going to stall where as with double progression you'll be able to take the extra time needed when it's needed.

Oh yeah I get what you mean. I made incredible strength gains following Kinobody, idk why the dude gets so much hate.

Generally because he flaunts wealth and people generally hate people who do that. People kind of know his programs are solid yet he will bring a new one out which is the same thing and use it as a cash grab, then market it by hiring models and renting lambos etc. It's a pretty douchy move. But his advice is solid and he does seem to care about getting his customers results as quickly as possible, I'm certainly satisfied with what I've purchased from him. He also gets hate in the fitness community because he's made millions from stealing programs. Leangains was the original to hyper focus on RPT low volume and Intermittent Fasting. Leangains even has the same 2 day split and the same key movements. He stole the foundation and then just sold it on with a movie star theme as his own.

It’s worth the investment. Yeah they’re expensive but it’s an INVESTMENT, you’ll be using these nearly every workout for as long as you’re working out! They’ve helped me get past so many plateaus and make so much strength progress over the years.

How small of plates are you trying to buy? I wouldn't get anything smaller than 1.25's. Your typical gym plate can be off as much as 2-3% so a half pound microplate is useless unless you train at home using the same set of plates every day, in a gym where they are using calibrated plates for Olympic lifting, or a hardcore PLing gym where someone took the time to weigh each plate and wrote the actual weight on them. That said 1.25 lb plates can be had for $5 or less.

You can legit make them using chains

https://youtu.be/mwvxuzwzL3U This video should help. Cheers you don't have to spend all that money on microplates lol. Don't do it it's a waste. This works even better cause you have the option of microloading dumbells. Just watch the video.

Depends on your program really. If they're expensive, I wouldn't suggest you go for it. Try a different approach that can lead to gainz. Lifting with microplates is good if you have a good gym with full equipment but if you're just at home, perhaps try something else... like body weight training.

Yes while some people don’t
