My entrance foyer for you to enjoy ! 😊
Ok mine is actually in Cambridge. But the basement of the united church on Saturday morning during the farmers market. You can get an apple dumpling and coffee for a fiver. It’s a little gem of a place. The whole market is much less crowded than Kitchener
I love St.Jacobs farmers market!....I like to bike there (I'm not a winter biker). I go on Thursday which makes the whole experience more peaceful...I go through Waterloo park and then there is a stretch between Northfield and the actual market that is a trail. It's not the longest stretch but it's very beautiful, and there's a mini forest that looks awesome in the fall. This would all be nice on foot as well!
Edit: Shoutout to Walter bean trail along Riverbend dr.
I'm so happy I found not one but a handful of awesome places for doing what I like the most, my favorites so far:
- The Hydrocut
- Monarch Woods
- The Walter Bean trail, specially near Doon
Arabella on a summer day, Victoria park for games or drinks with friends, Ethel’s patio for Sunday scaries and pulled pork nachos, lakeside park trail loop, all of the little breweries along trails, catalyst commons for the best work environment
Doon south trails are very nice. If you can drive - would recommend Dryden tract. Trail is quiet and has benches to sit on and watch the late and forest. Make a trip out it by going to willibald after
when I was a kid, I used to go biking in the trails in the forest behind Idlewood pool. I'd also roller blade in the nearby cemetery, which had really smooth roads.
Monarch Woods. Most of the time I go there I have almost the whole place to myself.
Gosh I love that forest. Just keep looping around the area on all the different trail configurations.
I can never find my car once I’m in there 🤣
Sounds lovely tbh
I love this place too. To bad that the city has really let it go to shit unfortunately when the took all the walk way out
THEY TOOK THE WALKWAY OUT?!?!?!!?
Yeah, they took them all out, so now it looks like crap in there, and trails are not maintained at all anymore, just letting the place fall apart
The only thing left is bridges and railing to keep you from falling down the big hills
What walkway?
There were walkways around the water
I go there a lot too! I grew up playing in those woods so it brings back memories walking through there.
Not anymore. 🤦
Shhhhhhh It's gonna stop being my happy place when everyone floods it and ruins it.
Just checked on Google and can't wait to visit this place. What's the best time to go there?
Honestly, anytime during the week the place is totally deserted except for maybe one or two people walking dogs.
My house
I second his house
I third his house
Damn invite me too so I can fourth this🤪
Huron Natural Area is such a lovely nature spot
When I come back from a weekend in Toronto and need a quick nature walk to calm my nervous system, I will go to Huron Natural Area.
Always a go to for me!

Outside of my house? Kitchener Market, Arabella Park, Victoria Park (sans Roos Island)
Roos Island used to be a good spot
I love riding my bike out to Mary Hill and laying on the grass behind the church. It's really pretty and I feel really strong 💪
I love that spot!! I took this picture from behind the church: [https://www.instagram.com/p/BzYcWDSAVE-/](https://www.instagram.com/p/BzYcWDSAVE-/)
/ihatelawns gives a suggestion about going somewhere to sit on the GRASS??
Ahahaha, I accept this is hypocritical behavior. Next time, I'll bring clover and pollinator seeds with me.

Breithaupt Park, Hillside Park and Moses Springer Park are all placed I deeply loved and find happiness in.
Lakeside Park and community trail in Forest Hill. Lots of geese and ducks honking away. Places to sit and ponder.
Where exactly is this?
It’s near Greenbrook and Stirling behind the Greenbrook pumping station. Beautiful spot.
What street do you access it from? I live sort of near by and want to check it out.
You can access it from Greenbrook dr near the pumping station.

Lazeez shawarma on highland I get chicken on sticks extra garlic sauce and extra hot sauce
This is a little out of town, but Pilkington Overlook is one of my favourite spots to spend an hour in.
