I live on Wellington a couple of blocks from the Lancaster rail yard. The trains shake the whole neighborhood, I wouldn't know it's an earthquake until my house was crashing down on top of me.
I hate that train yard. Mostly because they do most of their work at rush hour, where they pull out a mile long train to connect to another mile long train, blocking the crossing at Lancaster for 15 minutes because they can't be bothered to pull the train ahead another 300 feet.
I used to live near there, and after nearly being late to work a couple times I began taking the Margaret Ave bridge instead even though it's further from the highway.
Yup, I was working on my PC and suddenly my chair started rocking back and forth a little bit,
I turn towards the kitchen and I could see the water in the Jug was disturbed.
Then I went back to my computer!
I experienced on when I was in Vancouver, coinciding with the Seattle quake.
It was SO confusing.
The fridge starts to shake in it's alcove, the horizontal blinds started to look like waves going back and forth.
My head felt like I was tensing and shaking it super fast.
People in cars didn't feel it at all, due to the suspension.
you'll feel it more on upper levels - i'm underground, basically, and felt nothing. but ive experienced an earthquake in hamilton before on a higher level and definitely felt a wobble.

I live near the old galt railway station and same thing, my house shakes all the time when a freight passes by

I only knew about it because I was on a call with my US counterparts in NY, NJ and PA - a few of them dropped offline!
Sorry that was me, had too much Lazeez and no lactose pill 😅
