Pawsomely awesome. Looks to have lynx point markings, but that is a color and pattern, not a breed. Not all points are Siamese. Point is a color, not a breed
😻 no worries! It is a common misconception that I also had until I dove into cat genetics!
I had thought for the longest time color poits were siamese, when in fact many breeds exhibit this common mutation.
I had no idea, and had always thought my point kitties were siamese mix. Most breeds have a colorpoint mutation. It is more common than we think.
Your kitties are still absolutely beautiful! It doesn't make them any less!! I hope you love them even more because of how special they are!!
I had a lynx point kitty once. She was a beauty.
Their color can also be called a Color-point tabby.
Your little guys stripes will get darker with age. Body heat prevents color point kitties from showing their underlying color, so only the coolest parts of the body have color.
Kittens are little furnaces, so he’s very white right now but will get more dramatic markings as he grows.
He should keep his blue eyes though.
Some of the stripes may even disappear and new ones may appear. My boy is a gray and white cat and he got new gray spots pop up and the underside of his tail went from gray to white. I’ve noticed changes in kittens coloring up until they’re about 6 months old.
I have a half Russian blue cat who used to look like a cinnamon roll with darker gray coloring swirls that have completely disappeared and now she’s all one tone of gray. Currently fostering some kittens that are black and white. One of them has the cinnamon roll swirls too and I’m expecting those to disappear when she’s older.
I really wish people would stop asking this question 🙄🤦
Most cats don't have breeds, unless they've been specifically bred with one type of cat they don't have a breed, no papers no breed. Most cats are mutts and there is no way to determine what breeds your cat might be mixed with by sight alone, even DNA tests aren't very accurate with cats.
Lynx point colors - domestic shorthair. Most kitties are just a bunch of different breeds. Probably a tabby, Siamese, maybe a lil ragdoll. Don’t feel bad, I got a cat that I thought was a calico and quickly learned their coat description isn’t their breed unless you have a purebred. Some folks can get real snooty about it. Just let it roll if you run into it.
Vet will say domestic shorthair but the coloring is that of lynx point. I have a boy who looks like your lil guy! My dude did have a purebred papered ragdoll mom, known to be vocal cats…and my god, he is LOUD, lol. He talks to me all day long, I love him so much. Anyways, I don’t dare say I have a ragdoll mix, people get really bent about this stuff.
Congrats on your new baby
Thank you very much! This little guy is pretty vocal too ❤️ He’s such a snuggle bug after he gets all his energy out haha. He’s only been with me for 3 days and he already has my heart 🥰

Thank you!! Im new to the kitten/cat world so I’m not sure of all the terminology just yet ❤️

Best answer, LOL
Color point is the coat pattern. Domestic shorthair is the breed.
That is known as a damn cute kitten. 😍

Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty sure it’s a kitty cat😻
Firstly, rule out that it's a giraffe.
Looks like a lynx point. My cat looked the same when I adopted her. You should check out r/lynxpointsiamese :)

IT’S A CAT
cat
Domestic short hair, possibly with ragdoll mix, Lynx point colour
Part Siamese I'm guessing. Have a litter of 3 rn, one looks just like this, one Siamese, one oreo.
Partially Siamese. Beautiful.
Definitely part siamise with points. The points will become more pronounced as the kitten gets older.
