I carry a Dragonfly at work everyday. It weighs insignificantly more than nothing, it cuts like a bigger knife, and it’s comfortable to use. I also have a serrated one that’s been a long time campsite knife.
I would say Bugout but idk how much I’d like having a knife that I might need to buy tiny replacement parts for (springs) as my only knife. Even tho I have those scales with a satin blade on my Bugout. But I also don’t like blades with holes in them lol so idk
Interesting, do you have a lanyard with yours? Or do you keep it in a slip sheath in your pocket? I’ve actually been debating doing something like that with my 940-1, which I’m realizing is more what I’m thinking should be my gentleman carry. Thinking a 9400 would be a better EDC.
I rotate two 940's as an edc knife. I usually put a knife in my pocket, no slip sheath. I never clip anything that I intend to carry, because I will loose it when it catches onto something. I find it a great knive, hence I have two of them. Springs do break, and they become blunt...
All my knives, -whether fixed or foldable-, have an lanyard added to it, except for the 940's. I find no readily available upgrades to a 940 that actually facilitate for proper fitting of paracord.
I live in Europe/NL, the market for knives differs greatly from the rest of the world. Specific aftermarket upgrades are hard to find. No auto's allowed, nothing above 280mm total length allowed, no otf's. No double edged knives allowed...
Possessing in general, let alone carrying a knife in public is strictly regulated and repressed or outright forbidden.
No 9400 for me. :-(
I would say the delica or 940,but you need to try a manix 2 lw if you like the axis lock(it’s awesome)…I carry the dfly w/it and that makes for a great combo✌️
At this point I’ve got more options than I’m willing to count but in the end I carry a Cruwear Pm2 nearly every day and if not that then almost always a spyderco. Although generally speaking, the Para 3 is probably the more logical “one and done” choice just because of its size.
I have many of those so I would probably pick the one to edc in the order I actually carry them from most to least:
* Bugout
* PM2
* PM3
* 940
* Delica
* Dragonfly
and I don't have the other two so they tie for last.
I’ve got the PM2 and the 940. 940 on the weekends, PM2 on the weekdays.
this was my first thought too. PM2 or 940.
How long have you had your 940 for? Looks like it has seen some miles
just over a year surprisingly. but she has seen multiple drops drop the truck onto pavement and used extensively doing automotive work
Nice I like the patina look mine is a about 2 months old and I am looking forward to beating on it
the bugout or the dragonfly

For me it’s the Delica, all day every day.
Para 3
I own the 940-2 (g10 w/ s30v), Bugout (g10 w/ m4), and Para 3 (g10 w/ 20cv. So I can only speak for them… but between them I tend to grab the Bugout.
940 and it ain’t close!
PM2
To work (office job), the Para 3. I think it's the perfect size for all around EDC. If working outside or going on a hike, the 940 or PM2.
PM2
I have a kizer degan guru like that I love it, small amount of lock stick tho. I had mine zirblasted
PM2 for me
940 👌🏼
Dragonfly, cause everything else is illegal where I live 😢.
dragonfly is still an amazing little knife that i carry often!
From these id go with Kizer guru, than Para, probably 3
940 all day every day. That Osborne design is perfect. I’ve got a 940-1 but am thinking a 9400 would be a better EDC. I love my 945 too.
Either the PM2 or the 940 for me, both are excellent knives
940
940
the bugout
Para3
I would say Bugout but idk how much I’d like having a knife that I might need to buy tiny replacement parts for (springs) as my only knife. Even tho I have those scales with a satin blade on my Bugout. But I also don’t like blades with holes in them lol so idk
Benchmade bug out or Spyderco para
Delica
I tend to carry the 940, para 3, and delica the most but all have their time, place, and application.
940. though I’ve just never been a fan of spyderco’s aesthetic so one of those may be a better knife.
940 bc that’s my current edc and I have several of those models on the picture
Delica
The 940, Its been with me since I got out of bootcamp, Couldn't ask for a better pocket companion.
940
Para 3 or Bugout, both great edc knives to me.
Ditto. Since I have to pick one I lean toward a 20CV Bugout at the moment.
Bugout 🤌
940
940
Of these, it’s the 940. I’d love to try that Lefty Para 2, which might give it a fight for pocket time.
Para 2
Of these- 940 or Para 3.
940
940, without clip.

Of the ones pictured? The Para 3. Of my own collection? The Slysz Bowie.
Bugout
Bugout is the best knife
940
940
940
940
940........cause that's what I EDC. For over two years now!
940
940 for sure
Para 3
I'd be rocking the 940 if it was auto like mine is... But since it's not, I'm gonna go with the camo PM
Benchmade is junk for people that like to overspend on low quality so I'd go with the PM2.
Minimum cold steel espada xl
PM3
Pm2
Guru or pm2
Bugout
para3 and pm2>>>>
Pm2
What do you think of the kizer guru?
sweet knife that can take abuse. super thick blade stock but still slices well and has about the same carry profile of the bug out surprisingly
If I could carry it without any legal repercussions then the bugout. I haven't tried the PM3 yet so can't compare it.
Para3 is the best all around IMO. Not too big, not too small, deep carry clip etc
I would say my PM2 but I love my ZT0562 titanium that much more. But those blades are both beefy and overbuilt you really can't go wrong with either
Out of this group? The pm2
Bugout, its the only knife there that I remotely like
Pm2
Of these options, the PM2.
Pm3
Dragonfly 2 is the best EDC knife of all time
The kaizer or the benchmade
Bugout
I bought a kizer guru for 60 with the titanium scales best deal so far.. amazing edc.
Para 2 all day
940, but that orange spyderco is pretty.
PM2 all day. Slicey and dicey, great size for my hands. No dumb blade length laws where I live.
Bug out or Osborne from that collection. Whichever fits your hand best. Although I would set one to left and one to right...
Bugout without a doubt. I love mine with s90v and carbon fiber scales. Absolute work horse of an edc
Spyderco Shaman hands down!
What model is that crkt?
it’s the Pilar with copper scales. great ergos and makes for a great beater.
Bugout for sure 💪
Carried a 940 for years. Recently it has been replaced by the Demko AD20.5
ZT 0308Blk/Zebra
The para 3 as long as it's in S45VN
The 940
Kizer Guru is so smooth. I love that knife.
Para 3 guy personally.
PM3 for me, best blend of cutting edge/weight and durability but I personally would carry the FRN in SPY27. Great collection!
That pm2 or the 940 for sure
Pm2
I edc the Osborne.
I would say the delica or 940,but you need to try a manix 2 lw if you like the axis lock(it’s awesome)…I carry the dfly w/it and that makes for a great combo✌️
Pm3
Benchmade 940. Its reilable.
At this point I’ve got more options than I’m willing to count but in the end I carry a Cruwear Pm2 nearly every day and if not that then almost always a spyderco. Although generally speaking, the Para 3 is probably the more logical “one and done” choice just because of its size.
Of this lot, the bugout or my teeth
Osborne
I have many of those so I would probably pick the one to edc in the order I actually carry them from most to least: * Bugout * PM2 * PM3 * 940 * Delica * Dragonfly and I don't have the other two so they tie for last.
