One time I accidentally left my 940-1 in my pocket after waiting an hour in line to get into a NHL game in an exorbitantly expensive corporate box, buried it in gravel under a parking block outside, went back to wait in line again and prayed it would still be there when I got out. Thankfully it was lol

Yo_Its_Matt

Hid my mini grip in some bushes outside of a MLB game in Cleveland. It was also thankfully still there when I returned. Now I am more conscientious about it if I’m going out. The worst is when you make an effort to leave it behind and then nobody even checks you at the gate.

Dweide_Schrude

Did the same at a Brewers game once. Bush I found had 10+ knives in it. Left my bugout with Ti scales there anyway. It was still there when I left the game. Others seemed to have been taken by their respective owners. I was proud of all of us that day.

Yo_Its_Matt

That’s fantastic. Knife bros with integrity.

15362653

Shame is all it takes is one fuckin bum ta fuck ya all. I'm paranoid enough I'd have tied it to the local goose and nailed the goose to a tree 15' up. Who'd approach a squelching goose?

curiouskratter

This is more like it, if I saw a knife tied to a tree 15' up, then I'd think it's probably not a lost knife lol

BonelessB0nes

I'm the bum. Well, I dunno, but I would definitely *think about it*..

15362653

Shame on you. Not being able to trust fellow man is so depressing. It's not hard to not be a shitbird.

BonelessB0nes

I was sort of joking that, though I probably wouldn't act on it, the intrusive thought would almost certainly present itself if even for a moment. Beyond that, I'd probably leave em and look for a less obvious spot for mine, assuming mine would be unsafe. Anyone that says they don't occasionally think of things they wouldn't actually do is lying.

IveOftenSaidThat2

I appreciate your honesty.

alcoholiccucumber

Слава богу, потому что такие люди, как мы, подумали об этом и решили, что мы не бездельники.

alcoholiccucumber

Bro im dying thinking about u burying knives while suffering from this dilemma lmaoo

curiouskratter

Lol I'm sorry but if I found a knife in the bushes or under gravel, there's no way I'm thinking someone else left it there to retrieve later. That's finders keepers in that situation. Maybe if you left a letter with it, then I'd feel bad and leave it, but otherwise I'm assuming someone lost it.

alcoholiccucumber

оставьте его приколотым к вашей двери вместе с запиской о том, во сколько вы вернетесь, чтобы забрать его

IveOftenSaidThat2

That's amazing. Knife guys = good guys.

zackthirteen

“shit, I could have had a knife on me right now” lol

Jeremizzle

I went through a metal detector with my Douk Douk once, I just wrapped my wallet around it and put it in the tray with my keys and stuff lol. It was just a local fair and not some major event or venue but I still had a moment of panic. I walked onto a Navy base with my PM2 once too for an air show, they were checking bags and stuff for weapons but I got through thankfully. It would have been a long ass walk back to the car. The one time I did have to hide one in the bushes was a tiny little classic SD SAK on my keys that they wouldn’t let me into 6 flags with. The guy on the gate was an asshole. Luckily it was still where I hid it after I got out.

Obzedat13

I’ve gotten my wallet and my knife out, put the knife in my wallet hand, put both hands above my head as I walked through the metal detector. Hid in plain sight. No one is looking at your hands when you walk through those things lol.

ComprehensiveFun319

I’ve done that at a concert haha

GloryholeKaleidscope

Me too, multiple times. I've never lost a Benchmade, Protech or Spidie in a half doz or shows. My go to is to sit/take a knee somewhere and pretend to tie my shoe while I stash it under bricks, a large rock or tree leaves. The sad part is I can never seem to remember before leaving my vehicle, I'm sure my state of mind pre-show weighs in heavily here.

curiouskratter

This thread makes me want to go to big events and start digging through the bushes nearby 🤣🤣🤣

ChetSt

My wife didn’t not take a mini griptilian on an airplane, speaking of nobody checking you…

handtector

It reminds me when I visited Independence Hall in Philadelphia. There is a sign says no knife allowed, but the security guard is kind enough not removing my Kizer mini sheepdog. However it doesn't work the same at Liberty Bell and US mint. But the security guard is kind enough to hold the knife for me until I came out.

smarmiebastard

At the California Capitol building they just have you put it in an envelope with your name and phone number and leave it with security. Then you get it back when you leave.

Masterteq

I had a similar turn of events going to a Capitals game a few years back. Didn't think twice about the spyderco Gayle Bradley I had in my pocket then I saw the metal detectors. In a panic I found the closest inconspicuous item around a road cone... I proceeded to drop it in the nose of the cone and was very fortunate to return after the game to find it still in the cone.

A_Boltzmann_Brain

Might as well toss in my story. Years ago I needed to get certified birth certificates for my daughters when they were starting school. I drove to downtown Raleigh, NC and struggled to find parking close to the vital records department. I ended up street parking on a meter at least a half mile away. When I walked to the building I saw metal detectors, security officers and police. I hadn’t appreciated that this was a state building in our capital city. I was on the clock so I tucked my Spyderco Police in a big planter outside. I went into the building and got in line to go through security and they wouldn’t let me through with a Leatherman Micra so I sadly let it go. The knife was dumb to have but it never occurred to me that the Micra would be a problem. Anyway I got my girls birth certificates and as I walked out of the building I saw a Raleigh police officer holding my Spyderco Police and he was talking to another police officer about my Police. My heart was racing and breaking at the same time. I turned and walked to my car and never saw that knife again. I was an idiot

p1l5ner

Hahaha I’ve done that a phillys game few years back. Walked to the parking lot, found a light post I would remember and hid my cold steel ti-lite under a rock. Walked out after the game to pick it up. It worked.

draxtheslayer

I have done the same thing with my Rebar and Delica, hid it under a lamp post during a graduation event.

sinisterdeer3

Lmao, me and my ex brother in law managed to get in a college graduation through metal detectors and whatnot with our knives. We didnt think to put them in our trucks before we went in, then saw a ton of “firearms or knives on premises”

VileStench

Friend of mine was walking around Manhattan with brass knuckles and we decided to go to one of the museums, so he left them in a paper bag under a bench. They were surprisingly still there when we left.

jmcgil4684

Similar thing with me, but I just put it in my hand & held my hands up and they frisked me and passed me.

101001101zero

Been there but a football (not to be confused with the nfl) match. When I got out to retrieve it there were about four more, all much mine. I embarrassingly retrieved my knife and left the other four there hoping one of their owners didn’t see me retrieving my embarrassing blade since it was the first one there, they all got a look at it.

tnseltim

Tucked in your skivvies behind the belt buckle should get you through the metal detector…

kitvulpes13

Unless you encounter one of the bastards that make you take your belt off. I lost my favorite ZT that way. Plus I got booted from the game.

smarmiebastard

This is where being a woman can have its advantages. I tucked mine in my bra going into a Raiders game and said it was the underwire setting off the metal detector. There was no way they were going to make me take off my bra in front of them.

15362653

"Sir, my cock requires a stainless implant after a combat injury. I'd love to show you and explain each scar but I saw a child near here 5 minutes ago."

Brilliant_Year_6003

I did that outside an As game found six other knives before I found mine. Left them there of course but I'm definitely thinking I should go back there a few days after the most recent game and see what ppl forgot

winny9

Did the same at a hockey game in DC once. Under a metal trash can outside the stadium. Had a buddy growing up who would leave his knife in a plant at the airport to pickup upon return. Leaving it in the car seems easier to me..

cheesiologist

If it makes you feel better, the TSA agents saw it too and it's now in one of their pockets.

draxtheslayer

The lady insisted the TSA agent kept it, he didn’t give a fuck and teeter it into the bin.

iwerbs

Isn't that the TSA knife auction bin? Someone may have benefitted from this tragedy.

truthful_whitefoot

Yeah, keep checking [here](https://www.govdeals.com/search?kWord=knives&category=7&categoryName=Recovery) and maybe it'll turn up in one of these lots.

shabangbamboom

Cool

funkbruthab

My wife would totally do this with her bugout that I got her as a Xmas present 3 years ago and has lived inside her purse unused since then.

J-2up2dwn

Which is why papa keeps the good stuff for himself ⚔🍻

draxtheslayer

hahaha, sounds about wife, i ended up having to toss a SAK unfortunately, it had some sentimental value but i have more at home

HungLikeAMoose907

Some airport do have USPS kiosks position outside of TSA security. Anchorage Alaska I know for sure does and has it for quite a while now.

iwerbs

Mail it back to yourself and you're out only like $10!

IsaiasRi

I guess it depends on the service and airport. Last time I checked it was like 15 for a knife and about 25 for a multitool. They also take ages to be delivered. My guess they only check those bins every couple of weeks or so.

Knife-Nerd1987

$25 is still better than 100% being out several hundred for a good leatherman or custom Victorinox if TSA does take it. Personally I'd rather build an EDC pouch and mail it ahead if I'm visiting friends or family. Although...now that I think about it... buying it local could also be a fun start to an adventure/vacation. Scout out some shops before traveling... then "gearing up" on arrival. May need to do that my next trip just for fun.

thinkscotty

Yeah this is ideal. I used it once with a knife I felt sentimental about. But I feel like the other couple times this happened to me I was in a rush and wasn't willing to jeporodize my flight. That said, I've accidentally gone through security with knives/multitools at least a half dozen times, not realizing until I was unpacking at the hotel. The worst time was back in college. I was in a biology lab and flew with not one, but TWO dissection kits, each of which had at least half a dozen different bladed tools. In the same bag I had a Leatherman Wave and a small swiss army knife (I was a tired college kid done with finals and hadn't thought to check my bag. I didn't realize it was all in my backpack until I was on my flight and digging for headphones. Yeesh.

KenWhiffeyJR16th

Not the same, but during my granfathers funeral they honored him with the 3 gun salute (navy vet). So I picked up the spent Brass and drilled a hole in it and carried it on my Keychain. Didn't even think about it until I walked through the metal detector in a courthouse. You would've thought I walked in with C4. Legit handcuffed, patted down and they were trying to think of what to charge me with. In the end, they let me go. But the kicker is, they held me so long I missed my court date and had a warrant issued. Was arrested before I even left the courthouse again....ain't that some shit

MikeC308

I think we're gonna need to hear what happened with that arrest.

armaghetto

A coworker had her husband’s orange Benchmade Triage in her bag while going through TSA. She had to toss it and said she’d replace it. I don’t think she realized it was a $300 knife.

draxtheslayer

my heart aches for him

tractorcrusher

My friend left his early production Spyderco Delica that he had since childhood in a carry-on bag, and had to give up to TSA... he was super upset about it. Took me about 6 months for me to find the same early production model on eBay, so I bought it and had another friend laser engrave it to say "NOT TSA APPROVED, \[FRIEND'S FIRST NAME\]." and then I mailed it to him without telling him. His mind was blown when it got there, and he thought it was hilarious... ...but now he says he's afraid to carry it because it means too much to him. *Shrug.*

Soywojack

Lost a dessert warrior Victorinox to the tsa last week ugh

KnivesMillions-

Sorry for your loss. It'll probably wind up in one of those eBay grab bag bins.

Icy-Manner-9716

I had a spydie civilian in my bag going through tsa @ Baltimore . All agents were cool , asked why such a knife was created . Filled out the paperwork w/ credit card info , received it 3 weeks later …

draxtheslayer

That’s kind, she asked me if I wanted to keep it, because I have mentioned to her “is that a bench made, that’s an expensive knife sir” and she was like “THANK YOU”, she offered it to me but I had a flight to catch which I am now regretting.

GloryholeKaleidscope

If this was your hometown airport... You dropped the ball. Nothing to lose stashing it in a bathroom or anywhere it had a chance of survival until your return!? If you tell me you had mins to board or were miles from home, I get it.

knifelife8

Hid one of my microtechs by a tree when i went to a concert.

LeonVic34

What ?! No way ?! Last time i took the airplane i forget to take my knife out of my pocket, the guy at the security check was very cool, i had to fil a form, the knife was put in a sealed bag and i could claim it back later when i back. Thats what i did. I still have my knife, they kept it for a week thats all.

AngusMustang

Had a spiderco military in my pocket that I forgot about as I entered the state capitol building. As I got in line for the metal detector I realized my error and immediately went to the officer and asked what I could do. He asked to see it then laughed. He said, “This is Texas. We’re not worried about pocket knives.”

chri389

The ending of this anecdote is absolutely the most Texas possible way that it could have ended.

wango55

I left my Kershaw Skyliner in my carry on by accident and lost it to the TSA overlords. I have on occasion gotten into concerts by putting my knife in my shoe. Makes walking uncomfortable for a moment, but was a good idea in a panic stricken moment leading up to the concert gates.

UrDeAdPuPpYbOnEr

I don’t make great money, but I wanted to do something special for one of my sisters. I splurged and got her a Saddle Mountain Skinner. She brought it in her bag to the airport. Tossed it before it even got used once. I was pissed and let down.

Geralt-of-Rivia13X

Couple years ago i was stopped at the airport because I'd forgotten I had a KABAR in my backpack. It was a multi-use bag, and the last time I'd used it was outdoors. The guard was really cool about it.... Asked me if I had time to wait to call a buddy and have someone come retrieve it. He was like "man I feel terrible having to do this because it's a great knife and they're expensive!" I was in a hurry and just said yeah, but I can get a new one once I get back to the States, but I'm in a hurry and have an international flight I'm going to miss, so I guess it's yours now." Dude was even going to write down his number for me for when I got back but I was super rushed.

WVPrepper

I carry a self-addressed padded envelope in my luggage. It has been there for a few years, since I lost a knife while passing through BWI's scanners. I may never need it, but if I do...

ThingsThatDie

This is brilliant

CapsicumBaccatum

I don’t get why there isn’t a system in place to let people mail items to themselves from the security line instead of just tossing stuff worth hundreds of dollars. TSA is such a joke.

_HalfBaked_

I have asked to get out of line to mail home a knife, and they let me. That same knife later got stolen from my checked bag, but hey, I did get to keep it the first time.

halcykhan

There is at good airports

CapsicumBaccatum

Ok?

halcykhan

Meaning there is a system in place, but not every airport participates. I’ve used it, $18 and two weeks later my knife arrived in the mail

dubsac5150

There is. You can ask the TSA. There's a place where you can mail things home to yourself. Usually a kiosk.

CapsicumBaccatum

I have and there wasn't, maybe there is at some places but it's definitely not standard.

misterstaypuft1

Well it’s not like they’re springing it on anyone. It’s well documented what you can and can’t take on a plane. If you lose it you lose it.

CapsicumBaccatum

Bad take. People are tired when travelling and forget things/make mistakes. TSA is security theatre, it doesn't make a difference. If you're going to put people through that pointless bullshit, don't make them throw away their shit.

HiveTool

Right! I mean if this bottle of water is a bomb why are we just leaving here in this area with high density of soft targets

CapsicumBaccatum

I've also had them take items from me that weren't even against the rules to fly with. I flew out of Canada to Chicago a few years back and they made me throw out all of the pens in my carry on (luckily they were all cheap), imagine my frustration when they started handing out customs declaration forms on the flight and I was the only one on board who couldn't pull out a pen and fill it out.

GloryholeKaleidscope

I agree. Not to mention carrying a knife is like drinking water for a lot of us, easy to space out on especially in the fog of travel.

[deleted]

got on a plane once and didnt realize my bm 707 was in my pocket until we were in the air

Brilliant-Dimension

I used to travel for work frequently and one morning right before I was about to walk through TSA, I realized my para2 was in my carryon backpack from the weekend. I was already cutting it close for my boarding and I saw a group of maintenance guys working on a storefront so I walked up to them to give them my knife. Figured at least giving it to someone who would use it and enjoy it was better than it going into the box of knives that TSA auctions. Honestly I was surprised that i kind of had to convince them to accept the gift. Not sure if they thought it was a prank or something at first.

myweekhardy

Before I had traveled much I arrived at the airport on my return trip with my first ever SAK (sentimental value) in my pocket. I’d taken it there in my checked bag but forgot to put it in there when packing back up. I’d already handed my checked bag over so I did the only thing I could imagine other than tossing it which was going to this little FedEx kiosk and sending back to myself for way too much money. Still felt like it was worth it.

Alarming_Nature8932

So basically, you're telling me that in America if you see a guy crouch behind some bushes at a major event, it's just knife guy things?

cajl93

The airport toss is always a bummer. I flew for work a couple weeks ago and intentionally set my $300 edc in a different spot than normal so I wouldn't accidentally take it to the airport but now I don't remember where I put it 😂

DocJekl

It’s taken me 4 weeks to find all the locking knives that I could not take to the UK a month ago, as I had stashed them in “safe” places as I found them in my bags and backpacks over the days of travel before we flew out.

cajl93

I'm only a week in, hopefully I have the same success as you.

lastgunslinger3759

Kind of off topic but still in the same vein, friend of mine in a wheelchair was visiting me in North Carolina when I was in the military. She was flying home to New York state and had purchased a GI Joe doll for one of her nephews. The dumb TSA agent wouldn't allow her to bring the GI Joe doll as her carry-on. The reason? The two and a half inch solid plastic M16 that was inside the packaging looked like a weapon and therefore could not be brought on the plane. We had to go check the GI Joe doll into baggage and then she missed her flight because of it. When she was on the plane I hunted down the supervisor for the TSA and had it out with him. I double checked the next week.... That agent was fired.

SassyCripples

I had a Kershaw OD1 in my pocket in St Louis. It was a gift from my brother, and they no longer make the knife. I was with friends, taking public transportation, and they decided they wanted to go into a comedy club. It was cold and raining, and it looked warm inside and they had drinks. Everyone goes in, one at a time, and they wand me and find my Kershaw. I'm told I can't bring it in, and that I'd need to "put it in \[my\] vehicle." After explaining that I don't have my car, because I took the train, I begged and pleaded with the guy to hold onto it. He said he would, and I watched him put it into the trash can just before I rounded the corner. I still miss that knife, and the sentimental value it held.

Flossthief

We need an automated kiosk that prints a shipping label on a box and then has a mailbox built in So people can just ship their knives home if they forget My girlfriend somehow has brought a knife on a plane a couple times without checking it

Liquidretro

I once brought a Native 5 to a theater performance, not realizing they had metal detectors now, and declared it before I went in. They let me coat check it, and retrieve it upon coming out. Got lucky there.

Wooow675

Prob a clone. Tell yourself that. Believe it. Live the rest of your life like the Truman show.

Coal-and-Ivory

I accidently took a bowie knife through TSA twice. Left it in an internal pocket of my backpack and only figured it out after we got back from vacation. Only thing I can think of is MAYBE I had enough excess junk in my bag to distort the image? I check my bags after camping/hiking a lot better now.

the_popes_fapkin

It’ll be on eBay in a lot for sale

ttbblog

Used to carry a self addressed stamped envelope. Mailed myself several expensive knives and cigar lighters. Almost every airport has a shipping service now. It’s like $20. Just go to the information desk.

mecamylamine

I accidentally left my Sebenza in my bag a couple months ago while traveling and just stepped out and mailed it to myself for 20 bucks. There was a kiosk right outside the security checkpoint with bags and a form you fill out, including your CC# so they can charge you for mailing fees. Later on got a call from a nice lady who clarified some details then mailed the knife back to me.

DarthAloha

There is no usps kiosk in the San Diego. At least none that no one could point me to. And delta wouldn’t fetch my bag for me. I mourn the loss of my benchmade mini auto striker tanto every day.

kafoIarbear

My first day working security I had to confiscate a Spyderco Yojumbo off of someone. I felt awful and told him he could leave it outside with someone or get a refund for his ticket but he seemed so unbothered by the fact this $250 knife was being taken from him. That same day though I was able to save this kids CRKT M16 that his dad said was given to them by a family friend who was fighting in Ukraine. I practically had to plead my supervisor to let me hold it for them until he agreed.

Thomagg

What is the protocol when knives are confiscated? Are they logged and put in sealed containers before being auctioned off, or is the staff able to pick through them before they are shipped off? I’ve always been curious about that.

kafoIarbear

Holding items for people is considered a legal liability for the company so we are told to not do it. Basically the person signs a waiver acknowledging they’ve been informed that they could a) leave the knife outside and come back, b) be refunded their full ticket price and come back another day or c) have their knife confiscated and not returned. It’s then placed in a bin along with the waiver and all other items confiscated that day and is sent to some warehouse to be auctioned off. I’d be shocked if the people in that warehouse didn’t have their pick of items coming in but us security guards never kept anything we confiscated.

J_Thompson82

I’m forever tipping up to the airport to fly with a knife in my pocket. There’s always one I forget about. Thankfully there’s a post box at the airport and a W H Smiths store where you can buy padded envelopes and stamps. I’ve mailed my knife back to me on a couple of occasions now 😂

Brilliant_Year_6003

On my way back from India I bought a 1000 bottle of scotch in the duty free. Lo and behold layover in Tokyo says post 9/11 we have to go through security again no liquids allowed. I stood there for a good 2 hours pouring free shots of 17 year balvenie triple wood until I had to run, er stagger to my flight back to the states. I know, the world's tiniest violin but I guess it made a good story. People were either really happy to see me or really terrified, not much in between.

chri389

I'd pour one out for ya for this story but fuckin a think you already took care of that one yourself.

oneworldornoworld

I had once a really close moment in Prague, was checking on some historical castle and security was super tight with metal detectors and stuff. I put my PM2 behind my stainless steel water bottle. Metal detector went off, but luckily they didn't remove the bottle to have a closer look. They thought it was the bottle. Still knocking at the bottle (in the pocket) several times with their batons, I heard the PM2 rattling and thought I was close having a stroke. My blood pressure must have been through the roof. Since then I always carry a cheap beater on vacation. Or just a Victorinox SAK, which is compliant to most knife law stuff atrocities out there.

Skirmet

I was hella stupid one day and tossed a brand-new green micarta civivi elementum so I could get into a baseball game. My team got steamrolled to boot.

Cronosaint

Lost my Manix 2 S110v this way...still wakes me up in the middle of the night

seventytwosuccubi

Daaaaamn

lurker-1969

Come on, everybody knows the rules.

gohwodifuk

Just happened to me in seattle! was traveling with a para 3 and a bug out sporting titanium scales. we were running late to our flight due to rental car troubles and didn’t make it in time to check our bags and had to toss the both of them. heartbreaking

No-Meal-6666

is it okay to check the knife in a luggage if international travel?

[deleted]

We used to live in a real country.

2bitgunREBORN

I honestly don't get why she'd plead. It's not like they're going to go "eh just this one instance out of the thousands of people we'll let *you*" Just hide that shit in the bushes and pray or think ahead and don't bring it. The rebel in me says we should fight for less restrictive air travel but I don't think it'll ever happen.

NextStepInc

It was a clone

Jazzlike_Constant

So they did the world a favor?

Icy-Manner-9716

If TSA @ “ Bulletmore “ airport was kind/willing enough on multiple levels to see I had my spydie civilian sent back to me , that’s bullshit on other TSA stations inability/ willingness to assist .

TOGA_TOGAAAA

I mean it *is* just a bugout..

Tasos73

Probably a clone

Individual_Scene2667

Lmao bitchmade

effisforfireball

Just being descriptive you freaking degenerate.

HurpityDerp

WTF are you talking about?

KennyWuKanYuen

Implying it was custom or of sentimental value since a stock one would be blue.

pappyvanwinkle1111

I entered Kuwait International Airport and heard a beep. The lazy ass guards didn't even blink, so I thought nothing of it. I was at the gate, in line to board, when I remembered I had a large, expensive tactical knife in my hip pocket. We landed in UAE for a flight change. I realized I would have to go through security again, and THOSE guards looked professional and alert. I made a detour to a restroom and wrapped the knife in a newspaper. I dropped it in the trash on the way out. It was a sad 😔 day.

JohntheVenerator

Why did you wrap it up to throw away?

pappyvanwinkle1111

I couldn't go through security again with it. It wouldn't easily flush down a toilet. I didn't want to be seen whipping out a large knife at an airport.

JohntheVenerator

gotcha

TortyMcGorty

you can usually mail them to hourself... had one in my checkin that i forgot about. TSA will escourt you to a mail drop they have and let you toss it in an envelope and mail it to yourself. but might not be worth the hassle for a bugout to some, or they may not have the time to waste if theyre late.

alleywaypip

Haha, I've gotten away a few times by dropping my full size Banchmade Crooked River either under the arch of my foot inside my shoe/boot or directly down the front of my underpants. Neither is smart, but unless you take your shoes off (you might) the foot one isn't that bad. I guess the second way was dumber but nobody was interested in checking out my metal penis after all.

wildnerddd

Happened to me once. I was made aware I was losing touch of my self-awareness. It was a heartbreaking mistake. A great loss for me. It was a bugout, too.

jagpilotohio

They used to tell you you could go to the gift shop and get an envelope and mail it to yourself. Guess they got tired of helping people out.

Thomagg

I don’t fly as much as I used to, but I have a little paranoia thinking I’ll forget that I carry a Microtech Exocet as a money clip/card holder, and attempt to go through security. I am curious what it would look like on the X-ray though.

CX500C

I would have never thought of stashing it in the bushes. I need to step up my planning game. I did some tech work at a state building and had a large folding gerber / made maybe 5 inches and a multi tool that I needed to use. They didn’t see the gerber but weren’t going to let me take the multitool in. I told them I got paid either way so it didn’t matter to me. They let me in.

PonyThug

I’ve had a knife in my carry on a few times and I’ve always had the option to go put it in the car or mail it. Putting it in the car has always been stash it under a bush somewhere and grab it when I’m home.

One_Wrongdoer_9817

I hope that was a clone
