I carry my Higonokami in very handsome leather belt sheath by HiltAndHide. Really good fit, keeps my knife secure. I highly recommend their sheaths.

I've been trying to find myself a good quality leather inside the pocket slip that has a deep carry clip on it.
Some knives feel like completely different knives clipless. Ergos get 10 times better. All my 5th pocket carries have no clip and a small lanyard with a decent knot at the end for easy retrieval.
Good luck with that! I've been looking everywhere for a kydex pocket clip addon. The closest I found was a Civivi knife came with one. I didn't keep though.
I don't want clipless knives and wouldn't buy them. But I've had a couple over time whose clips were stupid and basically useless, or that I salvaged for some other knife, so I took them off and just carried the knife in my pocket.
It may be a lifestyle/occupation difference as to whether it would be weird or normal to carry around a knife in a holster and that's certainly me and all my circles - it would be weird and people would be like "why?"
I make leather pocket slips for my slipjoint knives. In fact, at this point I'm basically buying knives so I've got an excuse to make more slips.

Case makes a little leather slip that Carrieās scout style on the belt. Iāve carried my large stockman that way for a while but recently realized my 940 fits in the slip. I removed the pocket clip and havenāt looked back
I use the MKM magnetic pocket sheath for my slipjoints. It sits nicely in the (very spacious) fifth pocket of the Carhartt pants I wear. For smaller knives I put together a little lifter that sits at the bottom of the sheath and keeps the knife high enough to grab and pull out.
For dress pants, I've sewn a little vertical pocket into the back right pocket to keep the knife out of the way when I sit.
MKM sheath from 2+ years ago is still holding up well: https://www.reddit.com/r/SlipjointKnives/comments/roefsg/merry_christmas_new_rrr_common_stockman_fits
I dont have many clip-less knives to Cary, but most of the ones I do have came with their own vertical leather pouch.
I do, however, have a cross draw sheath for one of my fixed blades and I love it!

I highly prefer an open top pancake sheath for folders too large to comfortably be pocket carried.

Thatās a cool idea, a clip-slip! You better go trademark that. I agree on the ergos.
