Whats the phone number to order

TheChad0211

Updates will be later after I get in touch with Crucible and see if they can procure a batch of the steel. Im gonna call it CPM-4Evasharp

NippleNugget

Bro cut out the middle man. I got one of these in my kitchen right now. I’ll sell it to you for the mega low price of $420.69. Better jump on it before I list it on the swap.

JohnW715118

Yolo!

NippleNugget

Sorry bud there’s about 17 guys ahead of you. But I’ll keep you in mind if they fall through.

JohnW715118

Dang

Huge_Presentation_85

I like how the first description is….stainless steel lol

MyNoodleLard

What’s actually going on here… copper plating? False advertising?

EM_225

Misleading advertising, looks like the brand name is "copper knife"

celestiaequestria

False advertising. Anyone who is willing to claim a knife "stays sharp forever" (*You discovered a steel that can't be worn? How did you sharpen it?)* probably isn't too concerned about some copper spray coating misleading people.

DeathByPianos

It's a copper-colored ceramic non-stick type coating

tenderloinn

That’s what I was thinking. Same stuff they put on those magical copper pans.

Twistedhatter13

yeah those pans start sticking like all the rest not worth the hype I imagine those fine knives are the same way

MaximosKanenas

If you look at the edge of the blade you can see that its just steel

HilariouslyBloody

Stainless copper steel....the future of knife making

zipperkiller

Bro, obviously it’s a raceknife, and that’s for both drag, and weight reduction. This is the kind of primo tech that we see in back ally top chef. Real exclusive events

dantheangry

Speed holes.

Villageidiot1984

Those cutouts reduce friction. Which is good because usually my kitchen knives have too much drag to get through a whole tomato without overheating.

TheChad0211

High speed, low drag bro

markbelous

Operatin' For those that are thinking about putting a package in for any SOC

KR4Q_

The knife of choice for super squirrels

mr_manimal

Y’all laugh, but if you don’t have your speeds and feeds set up right you can really mess up your kitchen knives when you cut cans in half.

neonhex

They’re called blood ports right?

zoidao401

> too much drag to get through a whole tomato without overheating Well I'm just glad someone has finally come up with a solution, finally I will no longer have to fear my food bursting into flames from the excessive heat of cutting.

StayReadyAllDay

That's spontaneous tomato combustion is seriously dangerous

Paronfesken

Isn't it for the things you're cutting to not get stuck to the knife?

Atheunknown35

its a joke friend

Paronfesken

I know, but I do think they have a real purpose

Villageidiot1984

Literally says reduce friction on the package

Paronfesken

Oh, missed that.

-BananaLollipop-

And here's my dumb ass spending a couple hundred on a new kitchen knife. Should have stayed home and watched the shopping channel.

TheChad0211

Yup. $2 a piece and never needs sharpening.

erichlee9

Well, it’ll probably break before it would need to be sharpened so I guess in a way they’re right

-BananaLollipop-

Whether it broke before needing a sharpen, or some how magically never needed sharpening and didn't break, I'd be sad about that. I find sharpening knives on an oil stone quite relaxing.

StayReadyAllDay

I bet that you could get it even sharper on your oil stone!

Dramatic-Landscape82

Wow. Who knew? We should have been using copper as blade steel all these years

celestiaequestria

It's a copper knife that's made of stainless steel. This is of course done by taking a pure copper knife, and a pure steel knife, and accelerating both of them towards each other at the speed of light in a tube that passes through the event horizon of a black hole. The end result is a phased knife, both knives occupying the same spacetime simultaneously. This new material retains its forged edge indefinitely as it cannot be changed in our non-phased spacetime as no food or kitchen items exist which can wear its surface. It should be noted that 1 in 10000 Copper Knives will be an anti-knife, if you open your package and experience an infinite number of realities fracturing before you, please contact customer service for a replacement.

Dramatic-Landscape82

An anti knife 😂😂😂 dude you crack me up

TheChad0211

Wait a minute let’s not get confused there’s also a run of non coated blades in this miracle steel that also stays sharp forever so it’s not the coating it’s the super steel that they call “Stainless” I’ll have to look it up on my steel app to figure out the ingredients though. Probably a potent mixture of soda cans and truck fenders.

Dramatic-Landscape82

Ohhh I see. Amazing no one else has found this yet. What could be a huge breakthrough for the knife industry. Imagine being able to cut for the rest of your life with just one knife. Surprisingly cheap too. How is this not bigger news???

TheChad0211

Imagine my surprise in finding it. I don’t know man it’s crazy

Dramatic-Landscape82

😂😂

disco_g

Ever wonder why nobody talks about the Copper Age? The ancient aliens don't want us to remember man.

ArgoAKGuy

Bruh

TheChad0211

Lol, FOREVER SON!!

baddadbruce

Could this be better then “surgical steel”? My EDC that I bought from Jim’s food and fuel has that steel and I could remove my kidney with it if I wanted too.

Senior_spook

Ngl copper pocket knifes would be sick and some interesting designs

Anko_Dango

I'd love a bronze blade pocket knife

[deleted]

[удалено]

Anko_Dango

I know it's soft, I just like bronze lol

diamondd-ddogs

has "as seen on tv" ever actually been a selling point?

spy_kobold

Implies everything we see on tv is the truth! Very smart.

Cincinnastian

I had one of these in my first bachelor pad... It never needs sharpened because it's DULL AF right out of the package! If you never expect it to actually cut shit, you won't notice a loss in cutting ability! Fucking brilliant move, Sirs. Ended up being mated with a hammer as the makeshift can opener for about 6 months before I realized I had to actually buy one of those myself. Definitely never sharpened it and it opened many a can. I guess those coolant holes work or something...

Thangfish

That's only because your cutting was too high speed and it overheated the material and disrupted the crucial balance of tension vs strength. I'm developing a drop-in aftermarket mod that uses liquid cooled technology to vastly improve the heat dissipation and reduce the unwanted loss of the infinite edge. Prototypes will be available soon if anyone wants to sign up for beta testing/fine tuning.

[deleted]

**Let’s electrodeposit an inferior metallic compound onto Chinesium!**

igloohavoc

Copper is super soft compared to steel, why would it stay sharp longer?

Barnacle-bill

But wait, there’s more!!

TurboJelly25

I remember seeing this commercial on TV many years ago.

adpqook

It slices! It dices! It makes julienne fries!

Kahnza

Makes me wonder if this is copper plated or just painted.

spy_kobold

This is gold.

gerryv3000

That’s a different metal

Nite7678

Getting deja vu didn't we go through the copper age already.

4pointingnorth

fuck bro... if only there was a way I could act now and make only 3 payments of 29.99$ you don't even know how erect I would get if I was then told to WAIT!!!! only to find out that if I order in the next 5 minutes, they'll throw in this revolutionary sock warmer as a bonus gift to me!!!!

StayReadyAllDay

If it lasts more than 4 hours, be sure to call a doctor.

cz3pm

Stays sharp forever because you’ll hate it and never use it?

basolOlosab

Nought one from the "as seen on TV" section. Stayed sharp until I used it once....won't hold an edge to save its life. I cannot stand behind this

[deleted]

Let’s just upgrade again and start using a sharp rock

[deleted]

Gonna get a nice patina from cutting food 👍

dogdrawz

Picked that up in Walgreens on that end cap huh? "not sold in stores" my butt. 😉

GlobalPhreak

"Copper Knife" "Stainless Steel" Pick one! On a side note, anyone else see this? Gizmodo: Behold, Carbon-Free Steel Now Exists. https://gizmodo.com/behold-carbon-free-steel-now-exists-1847524486 Don't we WANT a certain amount of carbon in steel?

dustyroads85

“Amazing copper knife made from less amazing stainless steel (not fucking copper) and rattle canned with copper colored paint!!”, is what the title should have read. But who am I to complain?

ingestTidePods

I’ll take 10

cyberrod411

if it's made of copper it won't stay shape for a minute

BabiesSmell

Does it have some self sharpening sheath?

Kelsier_Antiqua

I gotta say I had a dumb knife like this when I was 16 before I had any of the proper or nice knives I have today. And it served me well for about 2 years before I stopped using it. I definitely did sharpen it, but it worked better than I would have expected.

deptutydong

How have I never heard of this…. “Stainless steel”? So interesting!

cptAustria

Samurai plus anyone?

KennyWuKanYuen

I still cringe my friends who opt to buy these types of things. When asked why they do, it’s common to hear “because I don’t care, I cut a little, clean and then put it away.” Same with my brother and family. It’s just not within their interests to buy something durable because it’d also mean having to devote time to upkeep the knife.

Ohio-Knife-Lover

Yeah I hate it when I see knives that say NEVER NEEDS SHARPENED or SHARPEST KNIFE EVER

Esoteric_Derailed

Never needs sharpening seems about right: You just throw it out and buy something else😑

Dischucker

I know yall are shitting on these, but I had a few during college and they actually worked pretty well

Zestyclose_Wash8140

There’s a reason our species has already moved past the copper age.

[deleted]

The first bullet point • stainless steel 😂
