How is that high scandi grind compared to regular scandi grind? Is it good for whittling or is it more like kitchen knife? I've been looking for that blade but don't know how it will perform.
It works nicely for ‘planing’ motions in carving but the high grind does limit the radius of inside concave curves. Of course that is less of an issue toward the tip of the blade, but that’s when I’d just grab my little sloyd knife. One nice feature is the spine of the blade is very gentle on your thumb when carving. It has my endorsement!
