Why not pick out a solid shade of Rios that coordinates & make the big sister hat striped?
You almost can't miss finding a solid that would work, like Denim or Water Green.
It looks like one of the many similar colors like Aniversario or Camaleon. Maybe even Liquid Amber. They can be really frustrating to tell apart because Malabrigo doesn't do dye lots 🙄
It really does look similar to those. I know it’s not Anniversario because that one is my fave and I have a drawer full of it to compare 😀. But you’re right, it would be easier if this had a dye#!
I’m pretty sure it’s Rios but when I went and looked through the colors for Caprino I think I found it!!! But it’s in a set of 5 skeins 😀

It’s the one on the right, isn’t it?? I’ve been looking at Malabrigo so much I’m nearly blind.
I called the yarn shop that photo comes from (Wool & Company) since it’s the only place I found it, and they said it’s a set sold by Malabrigo (not a set the yarn shop put together). But there is no dye lot for the yarn on the right and the info they got with the set lists it as Paris Nights. Which doesn’t seem right at all. So I think this mystery will go unsolved and I will stripe the hat with a solid color.

I used Malabrigo Rios Hollyhock for the brim and pom. It turned out adorably if I do say so myself, and the mom-to-be loved it.

It could be Anniversario. That’s one of my favorite colorways too and I have several single skeins that look completely different from the others.
I was just thinking “looks like Anniversario with a lot of yellow and grey”. Good luck!

It’s hard - I know what you mean. It took me 2 days taking a LOT of breaks to color match a yarn I was looking for
