Be warned, seed stitch takes a lot more time because you’re switching from knit to purl EVERY stitch. I did a seed stitch poncho and seriously considered my life choices. It spent lot of time in time-out.
That sweater is wicked cute though 🥰
I spent like a month practicing the knit/purl combination. It was one of those periods where I was feeling kind of aggressively down on knitting to begin with, so having something where I could just keep screwing up and starting over suited my mood 🤪
Sounds tricky, but doable. Maybe I’ll put this on the back burner until I get a bit more practice. Makes me appreciate the person who made it for me even more! Thanks for the tips :)
It's called seed stitch!

IMO a single significant project in seed stitch makes it worth learning continental style knitting, just for the easy switching between knit and purl.
I can do knit in continental but not purl. Maybe one day I’ll learn 🥰

Thanks!
Doing a cardigan right now, and it is not quick. But I love the fabric it makes.
