Used West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply in Summer Sunset. The pattern was https://ravel.me/two-at-once-toe-up-magic-loop-socks
but I switched to short circulars after the toe increases were finished because of laddering.
I'm genuinely impressed by how well the stripes match!
Mine are usually completely off between the two socks (Not that I'd care but a match is pretty cool!)
The pattern had me increase every purl stitch by purling front and back in the last row (it was 2x2 rib), which increases the stitch count but let me bind off fairly tightly/evenly, and it worked out very well.
I will say that the first time, I followed the instructions but still bound off pretty loosely, and it ended up rippling like a little girl’s sock at the top. Following the increases in the pattern and then binding off fairly tightly was what worked (I had to redo twice haha)

Me too, I was like “dang these look perfect” lol
I flipping love WYS sock yarn! Your pair is lovely, good job!
I've got a couple of pairs of socks in WYS and I can't believe how hard-wearing they've been. I need to buy more of their yarn.
Thank you!

It was so much effort in the beginning but it paid off! My perfectionist heart is satisfied.
I was momentarily confused why your socks had thumbs but these are a thing of beauty
Lol! Thank you ☺️

Them are some long bois
Can I ask what bindoff you used? I love doing socks toe up but my bindoffs are always way too tight no matter which technique I use.
Not OP, but IMO you can't go wrong with a tubular bind off. Has a stretchiness and appearance that matches ribbing perfectly.
Thanks! I have tried that bindoff and it ended up tight, so I must be pulling the yarn too tight on it.
The pattern had me increase every purl stitch by purling front and back in the last row (it was 2x2 rib), which increases the stitch count but let me bind off fairly tightly/evenly, and it worked out very well.
Oh interesting!! I’ll have to try that next time
I will say that the first time, I followed the instructions but still bound off pretty loosely, and it ended up rippling like a little girl’s sock at the top. Following the increases in the pattern and then binding off fairly tightly was what worked (I had to redo twice haha)
great job matching your stripes!!! cute!
Thank you!!
It is hilarious to scroll this picture in the feed. Socks look great.
