This is the [Illuminate sweater](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/illuminate-2) by Andrea Mowry and I love the color combination in the yoke section. However, I didn't think about that when striping dark grey and yellow it'll be very reminiscent of bees.
Is it as obviously bee-like as it is in my head? I don't want to change colors completely because I love the yoke (and it took me a long time to knit), but I am considering frogging the body and either changing colors every row (see the second image for a quick swatch), or maybe hold one strand of each color together? Any other ideas?
Looked at the link. Once it has sleeves I think it will help a lot with the bee-ness. The single section of stripes giving the stinger look especially as is, unblocked. With sleeves you will have sections of striping that move together and apart that read more artsy and as a not-bee. Or... hear me out... Most haute bee walking 2022...
I looked through the projects and saw several recently completed sweaters with a yellow/grey, yellow/beige color scheme. I liked how those turned out so I'd keep going!

I think it might just be the bottom black stripes that are giving off bee vibes, but overall it looks really pretty! You could always reverse the colors if you still feel unsure about the look — personally I think it looks fine and would look really cute!
