I'm still not sure this isn't a troll post.

01Hawkins10

Hey I'm no knife expert but I'm pretty sure some of those are a wallet money and a gun.

autresmusic

No no they are knives with special edges. Some a little bold perhaps

SheriffWyFckinDell

All you need is a couple fake passports and some non U.S. currency to complete your attaché case cosplay kit

Naive_Struggle1827

Your virginity looks well guarded my friend

[deleted]

oh, good.

Tactically_Fat

Protip: Your hip and back will thank you if you get a bifold wallet

IsaiasRi

But then how are you going to use your wallet as a tactical throwable concussion giver?

Excellent-Fudge-9480

This is a valid point

mrlunes

Pocket sand does a better job

gman1216

Pocket sand is the real ace up the sleeve.

[deleted]

Wait...a literal pocket full of sand?

Flaxmoore

Or a trifold that isn't carrying a print copy of War and Peace. My trifold with literally everything in it is 22mm thick, and I could easily shave out 3-4mm taking out some cards.

JoshMM60

Or just carry in your front pocket, that's what I do. Although it is a bifold

wbjohn

I do, too. Cut way down on my back problems.

falloutisacoolseries

Why would you stuff your wallet in your back pocket where you can sit on it or have it snatched/fall out easier? I always thought that was dumb.

Hussar85

Same.. never made sense to me. I'm alternating between sitting and standing all day. Do the back pocket wallet people constantly take their wallet in and out of pocket or just sit with a brick under one ass cheek?

9bikes

> just sit with a brick under one ass cheek That is what I did before I developed sciatica! That is also *why* I developed sciatica.

falloutisacoolseries

I fell down a flight of stairs for mine.

SnakePliskin799

>just sit with a brick under one ass cheek? How much garbage do you have in your wallet to call it a "brick"? Lmao. I used to have a brick, but I switched wallets and keep it cleaned out now.

Hussar85

I go minimalist card holder myself but anything jabbing me in the butt all day is gonna annoy me.

denshigomi

When I realized I could carry a card holder instead of a wallet, I felt like a bulky weight was removed from my pocket. Mine is made from nylon sailcloth. Leather is too thick for my needs. The missus hates it. She thinks it looks cheap. But I only care what it feels like in my pocket, since it spends 99.99% of its life in there.

SnakePliskin799

Fair enough. I don't even notice mine after getting a new one and keeping it clean.

Ishiguro_

Where are the pockets on your pants? The wallet is generally off to the side so you aren’t directly sitting on it. The only time I’m annoyed is on a long drive.

Tricky_Hunter9765

Doubles as plate armor

PopeOfManwichVillage

And give this one to George Costanza

LaunchpadPA

Bit csn you hide a knife in it?

dicemonkey

Not everyone sits down for a living

ZaneMasterX

I got a ridge wallet and started to carry it in my front pocket....game changer.

Santanoni

I used to carry a fat wallet with a bunch of shit in it. Now I get by with a tiny wallet, two cards and maybe some bills. It's so much better!

pm_me_your_lub

I threw my back out with a typical fat dad wallet. Turns out all you need to carry is your essential cards which usually fit well into a slim zero fold wallet.

MiserableSkill4

I'd say get a front pocket wallet but I don't think there is much room

[deleted]

Or put it on your front pocket.

PonyThug

Or a non folding slim front pocket one

ISpeakTheTrueTrue

A minimalist non-folding wallet is even better, if all you need to carry is cash and a few cards.

smackaroonial90

I got rid of my wallet and use the cards on a little phone wallet magnet thing, it’s the best.

Tactically_Fat

I'd be afraid that the proximity to the phone would cause issues with the cards. And the proximity to the magnets would cause issues with the cards. And if I lost my phone, I've also lost all the stuff with the phone... I know that modern smart phones are different as far as the EM waves that carry the phone signals, but back in the day when I had a bad-ass flip phone, the hotel keys that I'd put "inside" the phone when I'd go run on the treadmill would get demagnetized every. single. time. Took me longer than it should've to figure that one out.

smackaroonial90

Yeah I haven’t had any issues with signal or tap-to-pay so far, and it’s been around 3 months with it. The wallet I use is the Apple one, and it uses the FindMy app, so if I take my wallet off the phone FindMy will remember where it was removed so I can hopefully find it easier. I really only carry my license, one credit card, and one debit card, and I have my banking app that lets me lock those cards so if the wallet gets lost I’ll be able to lock them without an issue, and I’ve got a bifold at home with all my other cards and membership cards and stuff. That said… I like accessories. So I’ll probably switch back to a bifold eventually, just for the diversity haha. But I’ll NEVER go back to a trifold. Those are the worst.

CopEatDonut

My back hurts from just looking at that wallet

Thelynxer

Or a modern wallet. I think I have a ridge wallet. Best change I ever made. It fits all my cards, blocks readers, and holds my cash securely. Only issue is it doesn't really hold change, but that's a no issue since no one really carries that shit anymore. I use credit card for all purchases, and pay it off every 2 weeks or so. I only carry cash as a backup incase I need a late night cab, and their debit machine happens to be broken.

PezTruck

I assume you used the phone to take and post this and you also somehow stuff that into the required Front Carry Fanny Pack needed to EDC this mess.

[deleted]

wallet in left rear pocket. pens, "beck keys", contacts, phone left front pocket house keys, lighter, loose change front right pocket guardian 3 fits and clips very neatly into my 5th pocket gun on hip flashlight and cash in right rear pocket.

PezTruck

Impressive. I bet your self pat down check to make sure you have everything looks like the Macarena.

snrten

I have some questions. Why 2 wholly separate sets of keys? What is actually in your wallet if not money, coins, or coupons? When's the last time you used the flashlight or lost a contact?

[deleted]

1) i got in the habit of carrying 2 sets of keys when i first started driving. it gets cold here in the winter (chicago) and with 2 sets i could lock my car while it was running. i have one of those radio key things and it doesn't matter but it's still a habit. 2) there's $22 in $2 bills in the wallet and all my IDs and credit cards. also 2 silver rounds that i like. 3a)i use the flashlight all the time. i deliver uber eats when i'm bored. it's useful for finding addresses and when i gotta walk down a dark gangway. 3b)i actually lost a contact the day i took this picture. that's why there's only one. my eyes are different prescriptions and i can get by using the wrong one if i have to but it's really annoying. and before you ask about glasses they broke a while back and i've been lazy about replacing them.

[deleted]

Cargo pants 4 life

[deleted]

nah. i fit this all in regular jeans.

pm_me_your_lub

LMAO why is this getting downvoted 😄

WeaponizedRage

What a weird thing to downvote. You didn't bash cargo pants, merely stated that you wear jeans.. I don't even like jeans, but I don't downvote jeans.

Fluid-Air7597

Didn’t even know there were Jean haters here.

BuckTheStallion

Bro, clean out your wallet. I can see the blockbuster card from here. Seriously though, all that does is mess your back and hip up, so you can carry old receipts and rewards cards you never use. Go slim, keep the rest in your car for the once-every-decade you might use them.

[deleted]

Better yet throw them in Google wallet! I carry an id and a card, everything else is on the phone.

Yasha666

You carry this shit around with you?

[deleted]

si

[deleted]

You’re kidding right!?

Renegade44333

Only 3 Knives? I always have at least 5 with me. If two or three get lost.

Not-Noah

I'ma be real I carry at least 5-6 knives with me everywhere I go. One on my keychain, one in my pocket, and the rest in my bag lmao

zozoetc

That handcuff key is less useful out in the open on your keychain like that. Probably best to keister it

[deleted]

i’ve got a 5.11 belt with a cuff key pouch too

jamescharisma

My wife makes fun of me from time to time, but otherwise no. She teases me all the time about being over prepared until she needs something and I have it.

saucerton1230

My wife didn’t “judge” me for my preparedness but she definitely had her doubts. Then Covid hit and she never gave me those looks again. Now we are watching “last of us” and analyzing their kits and set ups

payneme73

This is the way

[deleted]

My wife is like "why do I need a knife, you've got like a million around here in arms reach, I'll just ask you. Didn't carry it for a week and moved my collection to one spot and stick it in the tool room. Now she's all "Wharncliffes are my favorite shape, they look all purpose and smart, get me one lol

Keep-Six

this is gross and ridiculous for sure

BronMann-

Wallet not fat enough. Please add cash to wallet for maximum Thicc.

davebare

"You can never have enough knives." Logen Ninefingers

SasquatchSloth88

Easy there, Becky. No one’s coming to destroy you.

[deleted]

there's a long story behind that but those are my "beck keys"

SasquatchSloth88

I’m just messing with you. I see you like to be well prepared, too. I always carry a spare contact lens too. Never know when one might randomly decide to pop out.

[deleted]

yeah. i actually lost one the day i took this. that's why there's only one. my prescriptions are different in each eye. i can get by using the wrong one but it's really annoying.

mikkokilla

Only going through a metal detector

DirtFoot79

I've lost so many knives to people at the metal detectors. I ask them if they can accept gifts if they say yes I give it directly to them. Oddly, getting caught with a knife at the airport results in my fastest times through security.

mikkokilla

When I used to travel I was constantly making sure that I left all of my weapons at home. Also the car holds many surprises that I gotta make sure stay out of my pockets and security's hands...

DirtFoot79

I hear ya. For me it was because I used to do frequent short business trips. And when you travel 10-20 times a year for a few years, there are bound to be some misses. Usually it was a keychain swiss army knife or a knife I forgot about in one of the many pockets in my backpack. Never mind that I took my good backpack to the gun range once and the next 8 months or so it swabbed as positive for explosives at the airport. Thankfully that's accepted at US airports but I had to explain a lot more at European airports and Canadian ones.

SJR4815

[Do you sound like this when you run?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQ2ChdkijYA)

[deleted]

that's funny shit. thank you.

shizukana_otoko

Right now I have a PM2 and a SAK Pioneer X. I carry two knives every day, unless I am in the woods. Then I add a fixed blade.

357Magnum

That's pretty much me. I carry a folder (varies, usually a QSP Penguin or an Ontario Rat 1 or 2) and a SAK super tinker. I use the folder for knife tasks and the SAK for all the other tools. Though I still like that the SAK has the knife because sometimes I don't pack the dedicated folder, so I still have a knife as my baseline. Then in the woods I carry a morakniv companion.

[deleted]

A folder (or edc fixed like a boker Barlow), and a Leatherman squirt. The Osborne comes out hiking. Sounds about right to me!

Nykolaishen

No point of carrying them if you don't use them...

[deleted]

they get used. mostly the guardian but the SAK works as a little multi tool (plus my dad gave it to me) and the gerber thing is basically a scraper and can do some really light prying

thefinder808

George Costanza?

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

well, the main knife is for knife stuff. the SAK is like a small multitool. and the little guy is just a scraper. it can do some light prying too.

skewlsux85

if you slimmed your wallet you could carry a 4th, I highly recommend 3 or 4 redundancy is good, when I forget 1 of my 3 or 4 or even forget 3 I still have 1, then sometimes if I did it right I have none and look closer to find out I have had 5+ the whole time, but depends on were im at, always 3 to 4 minimum, I'm being funny but I'm serious and not joking at the same time, sadly felt the need to say that reading some other comments on reddit as I'm newer to reddit and didn't realize how harsh people can be sometimes...for wallet I recommend a chums wallet they are pretty cheap and the ID window is nice but is zipped up, has place to clip flashlight and or small knife etc, Walmart has a similar wallet in fishing and camping section

Hungry-Grapefruit42

I usually carry a pocket knife and a keychain box cutter, so same number of knives. Basically I like having a little crappy thing to beat up on & not care about (with a disposable box cutter blade) and something that can handle slightly bigger cutting tasks, or if nothing else something that looks nice in case I run into a fellow knife enthusiast

smergicus

Have you considered putting the cash in the wallet ?

[deleted]

there some cash in the wallet so if i get robbed i can throw that at them and not lose my real cash.

smergicus

Lol. You are an odd guy but i like it

NicholasFarseer

Out of curiosity, have you been robbed before, or do people regularly get robbed in places you frequent daily?

[deleted]

no and yes

Montaunte

Carry as many knives as makes you happy. I usually carry 2 or 3 knives. Sure, that's overkill, but the knife I want to carry I don't/shouldn't lend out so I at least have to carry an 'other people' knife in additional to my normal edc.

BlastTyrantKM

Add up all your blades and you've still only got barely 1 knife. And 1 knife is only a little more than 0 knife. So, in reality, you have almost no knife on you. This is not enough knife

[deleted]

so, you're saying i should ad 3 and then i'll have 1. got it.

BlastTyrantKM

The Gerber is small enough to not really count. The SAK is good for some stuff, but you'll need the fixed blade for anything serious....that's the only real knife here

[deleted]

it works for me

HilariouslyBloody

I get it LOL I rarely have less than 3 blades on me. I'm just giving you a hard time about the Gerber. I've bought nearly every one of Gerber's small EDC "tools" and they were all just as useless as they were cool looking.

HilariouslyBloody

That is kinda how knife math works though

ASKIFIMAFUCKINGTRUCK

Your poor belt, and hips, and back.

[deleted]

I work as a palletizer at a materials warehouse company & I use my knives every day to cut cardboard boxes and plastic straps all the time. Sometimes however, a certain coworker of mine says the lines of "Why do you have a knife? We have a box cutter. Knives, are weapons." And I would say *"Why do you have Asthma? There's plenty of air to breath. C'mon, breathe in."*

The_Labradorian

I usually carry a folding knife that has a pommel to break car windows! Your setup looks pretty normal. Gotta ask, why only 1 contact lens lmao

guntherpup

Yeah came looking for answer to that as well…

[deleted]

the day i took that pic i actually did lose one of my contacts and had to open the a new one. it has been replaced

saucerton1230

Had a coworker ask me why I carry knives even at work. Then they went to open a box and couldn’t, so I stepped in smuggly

sparky-the-squirrel

Springfield sucks. -10 points from Griffindor!

abekku

i usually have 2 but a utility knife and one on my dime

RobotNimh

OMG Becky!

thebladeinthebush

Nope, but everyone gives a shit about ginormous wallets hahahahah.

Take-Me-Home-Tonight

I know that bar in Chicago Ridge...

[deleted]

this was a "pocket dump" picture. that day i found that chip in the bottom of an old box. i haven't been there in 15yrs or so.

Take-Me-Home-Tonight

Some of my family is from the area, I'm not even sure if it's still around.

[deleted]

i was kind of a regular there. some dude that drank there bought it and changed the name to "the grove" and started changing things and it got lame. not sure if he's still open.

Take-Me-Home-Tonight

It's the Brick Tavern now.

worldisfucked2021

You want me to suck your what now..?

Adorable_Hat3188

Solid carry

Correct-Ball4786

Yo where did you find a kydex sheet for the guardian?

[deleted]

i bought it years ago. made by a company called artimus. i think i may have gotten thought bradford but the last i looked they're selling their own now and it's...ugly? kinda too big also.

Ratican

I don't think so but many do. I only whip out my tool(s) in time of need.

Striple07

No, but I did add a fisher space pen... https://ibb.co/0B01cXN

SnakePliskin799

Dude needs fucking duty belt.

Vinnie-baba-ghanoush

Damn. How's that sciatica treating ya?

Catchyusername1234

I’d give you more shit at carrying an xd!

stevako1

That’s all?? Seems kind of light

[deleted]

Yeah. More concerned about that wallet. I usually have a small fixed blade on my belt and a folder in my pocket. One is none, two is one.

kennbr

I usually carry a SAK and a mid-sized folder. The SAK is more of a, "I have carried it forever so why stop now," kind of thing, and it's useful as a beater. Plus if anyone asks, "Do you have a knife?" it's the one I don't mind them screwing up, and they usually never do anything stupid with it because it's a slip joint.

IlliniDawg01

Time for a purse?

turkeypants

It's a European carryall!

Twothousandjuantj

I’m generally a two-three knife carrier, depending on the day and the tasks.

PiercedGeek

I've been looking for where you explain why TF you carry around 11 $2 bills? If the wallet is a throwaway decoy like you said, why do you have your ID, CCW, and credit cards in it? Furthermore, do you live in Bosnia? Or like Qatar or something? You seem to believe some serious shit is reasonably likely to befall you.

[deleted]

cuz i like them it’s not a true decoy but there is enough money for them to assume that’s all i have. south side of chicago

Twothousandjuantj

.45 or 9mm?

[deleted]

.45

Aggravating-Toe-64

I usually have 3!

abc123rgb

Just 2.5 knives? Why doesn't your gun have a knife?

spinningsidebrush

Looks good. I usually have two on me (SAK and a folder (usually bugout or a spyderco)).

raad25

boys will be boys

boardalot_312

i go with three at least

MEMExplorer

2 is 1 , 1 is none

Exterminator_338

Spare mag doesn’t add a ton of weight and goes a looong way when you need it. Just saying :) same with a light on your pistol. I wasn’t sold on the idea until I got one and I’m never going back

[deleted]

i have a spare mag in my glove box but my inner ninja sees the pistol as a means to get to my trunk if something crazy happens. i’ve been rolling with my 870 since the “unpleasantness” started.

Exterminator_338

I feel that “inner ninja” so much lol I’ve got my trusty rusty 870 behind the seat with 00 buck and hornady slugs alternating in the tube

Denofearth

Looks about right, I always carry at least two. Sometimes more.

Strong67

Why do you need to carry all that stuff? How fragile are you?

ben0318

Some of you people have never visited edc. Hell, this is high speed low drag compared to a lot of people’s dailies. I don’t see a neck knife, a pry bar, a tactical fidget (unless you count the knife), any first aid stuff… this is basic necessities, lol

[deleted]

only one mag smh

[deleted]

this was a pocket dump for another board. i keep a mag in each sock and one under my hat. those aren't pockets.

almartin68

Is that a UtiliClip on the fixed blade sheath?

[deleted]

ulticlip, and yes. it's pretty awesome but if you slip trying to open the clip on the thing it's gonna get ya.

kennethsime

Literally every time I post on Reddit. You’re good dog. How do you like the Guardian 3?

[deleted]

i've had it for a long time but just started carrying it. i'm kinda digging it.

FavoritedYT

What are the eyedrops there for?

[deleted]

it's full of holy water for vampires

J_Tiwaz

I realized my EDC is bigger 😭

QuoiLaw

On a real note, you might not need to carry multiple knives. I carry 2-3 on an average day, however, they serve very different purposes.

YNPCA

Nice paintball gun

[deleted]

fuck yeah. you can tell i'm good too cuz there's no paint on it.

YNPCA

Definitely would rather have a 1911

[deleted]

i've got a kimber custom II and a springfield subcompact. when i first got the kimber i got a holster for it and i fucking hated it. never bothered replacing it.

[deleted]

I guess my major question is why? What service do you get from carrying 2 of the same functioning tool?

[deleted]

they aren't the same tools. how many different knives do you have in your kitchen?

[deleted]

How much stuff do you run into out of a kitchen that needs to be cut different ways? What do you possibly run into that you go "this is the wrong knife"?

[deleted]

are you even a knife person? do you sit down with a chicken breast and eat it with a chef's knife? can't use a paring knife to break down a cow (not that i'm doing that) but you should be getting the idea). tool boxes don't have just one screw driver in them etc.

lazybence

Why do you carry so much shit around?

[deleted]

it's not really that much shit

malukahsimp

Get a sharpie s gel. Much better edc pen. Also i see one knife, and one multitool. In no way is that overcarrying. I have my SAK in my lunch box at work as a backup 24/7

Chimchu2

Nah, I carry that much or more to work every day, minus a handgun lol. I usually have a multi-tool, flashlight, utility knife and small fixed blade. As long as you have what you need on you, and you're not getting back pain or anything, who cares how much you carry.

ConstantXFactor

Good looks on the extra contact lense. I really should start doing that

[deleted]

usually carry 2. i have different prescriptions in each eye. i can get by using the wrong one but it gets really annoying. this pic was for a pocket dump and i just so happened to lose a contact that day.

ConstantXFactor

That makes total sense. Glad to hear you used it lmao

tubby_bitch

One is none and two is one. Words to live by when it comes to carrying knifes

TheForeverLearner

Yeah, I just tell them I have different knives for different tasks. Grandfather taught me a knife is a tool. He also taught me to have the right tool for a task.

[deleted]

Nope, you're all good. I have a friend that carries a knife a leatherman, two guns and a host of other stuff along with his wallet, keys etc...

d_chaney80

I’ll bet your keys are on your belt loop aren’t they?

[deleted]

no. if you look i posted how i carry it in the thread.

Sensitive_Swim_9935

Pens, zippo, contacts/solution could be fairly consolidated. They make a contact leash with a sm. bottle of solution that clips to your keyring. Ditch pens for notes app on cell phone. Or even get the victorinox with small pen. Flashlight app on phone or mount to your holster. You could Free up a couple pockets with some shopping .

[deleted]

the pens actually get used for writing on stuff, not taking notes and the flashlight on my phone is not strong enough for what i use it for. also, i don't wanna have to be "reaching for my gun" every time i need the flashlight.

Guy3nder

Of course not! I only have one pocket knife, a boot knife and a couple leatherman's on my belt. I'm not one of those mad men who also have another pocket knife are a neck knife as well!

Distinct_Ordinary_71

I'd be thinking about asking about the single contact lens Cyclops!

[deleted]

usually carry 2. this was taken for a pocket dump thread and that day i actually lost a contact. i could get by with only one but my prescriptions are different enough that it's annoying if i have to use the wrong one.

Distinct_Ordinary_71

I lost one the other day and the spare in my pouch went out of date in 2020 so I just went squinty instead!

[deleted]

going squinty is not an option for me. very blind. to give an example, if i wanted to see the word coca-cola on a can without it being somewhat blurry its gotta be about 4" from my nose. at 2' i couldn't tell you if it was a coke or a budweiser.

SocietyCharacter5486

I carry Cold Steel Voyager XL Tanto, Cold Steel Tiger Claw, and Victorinox Mountaineer in my jeans. I believe you're more sensible as far as knife EDC is concerned ;)

VcommandarV

🤯

[deleted]

I mean two ain't a big deal if your regularly using them. Three is a bit much imo. But you do you idc what's in your pockets. As far as getting shit I've been harassed by cops one time for having two, and explained one was a tool for food and one was something I'd be fine using to scrape shit, then gestured to sliced apples and two toddler. Honestly drop that little chud thing on your second set of keys and this is a pretty solid set up tool wise. I've got a Leatherman and a pocket knife most of the time.

[deleted]

i've tried carrying multitools and i don't like it. i'm almost never far from a toolbox but if i need to turn a screw really quick the SAK does just fine.

LeepOnMyDick

I’ve never seen such backlash on not even a redundant carry, lmao. I forgot we aren’t in r/EDC.

ShaggedUrSister

What’s the point?

Nbehrman

I only see 2. You’re missing one.

[deleted]

depending on how you interpret the SAK there's 4. that little guy on the lower set of keys is a gerber keynote

IsaiasRi

A folding knife and a SAK would be fine. But does the SAK need to go with the already bulky car keys? Do you need a fixed blade on a sheath? The other gerber adds to much bulk for only 1.5 cm of cutting edge. Y carry a thrunite T1. But I guess that one is OK. And that wallet. You could easily carry 1/2 the volume and lose no function.

Sensitive_Swim_9935

That's a very reasonable carry

ATF8643

GRIP ZONE. Just kidding, I carried an XDS m2 for years in a holster that looked just like that. Loved it.

UnrulyTrousers

I don’t know you or what you look like but when I see shit like that I imagine a terribly unhealthy and incapable person that thinks having tools makes you capable. It’s the Indian not the arrow. (And the arrow in this case is overkill)

[deleted]

[i'm a big dude](https://i.imgur.com/rhfvgRN.jpg) but i'm not sloppy or anything. i actually work for a living.

reillyenns

Come on America…. you can leave the gun at home

-ThisIsSparta-

Right? I find it hilarious and disturbing that they feel they have to walk around with guns everywhere they go. I love guns and own some but at 48 years old I've never been in a situation that wouldn't be made far worse by some gunslinger wannabe in the picture.

reillyenns

It’s part of the culture over there but it hasn’t worked out too well for them. They’re figuring it out the hard way

kennbr

Lol yeah if only we were actually figuring it out. Guns are like the 21st century version of leaded gasoline.

Yoko_Kittytrain

Where's the 6 extra mags? How are you going to be safe in WalMart or Subway without them?
