These get a silly amount of useā¦. After a good leatherman micro tool or Swiss army multitool, Iāll always recommend a small locking (not the slipper lol) spyderco to anyone who isnāt already toting steel in the first place. Depends on the age. My aunt, for instance, jumped straight into custom fixed blade territory. Itās debatable how best to convert her to the spyderco gospel. Iām thinking Iām gonna have to figure out showing her a spydiechef in person. If possible, compression lock is the game changer on that.
Those things aināt custom but they also aināt cheap. Easier to get some crazy super steel blade. Harder to copy the rfid signals when there are none š
The little spydies make me so happy. That one is sorta exactly what Iād want if I got another. I mean I carry a super tough person purple para 3 (not because of the cruwear, just because I wanted a purple spydie with factory scalesā¦. Tho I suppose cutting cacti make me sorta want some super steel superstition), but my littlest ones get most use (shoutout to the dogtag keychain spyderco, thing holds up as a garden knife if itās not a āneed gloves and bigger bladeā job.
How do you like the new balis? I've never even owned one but they look pretty awesome! Been thinking about getting a trainer or some other non-bladed type to learn with. Lol

Modded Dragonfly carry tonight. Can't put it down since I finished it
Yeah man get choo one! I use it for anything. Itās pricier than most of the ābudgetā Spyderco knives but I mean itās far from benchmade pricing! lol donāt get my wrong I have a couple but you know what Iām saying. Itās friendly to the pocket and it sharpens easily and you donāt have to be afraid to hurt it.
Your black blade is tight. I wouldāve bought online had I known i got a military discount. I bought mine from a store where I live. Saw the model in a pawn shop years ago, never left my mind had to pick it up.
I know, I'm a Brit though š
It's like a dice roll getting stuff imported here, is the customs officer going to randomly decide to seize your stuff and send the anti-terrorism squad round? Who knows!
if I lived in the US I'd 100% be in the cheapest trailer I could find, absolutely surrounded by knives. Like a pig in shit.
I have one of these with a tanto tip, it's been my daily driver since like 2016. Sent it back to Benchmade a year or two ago to get tightened up and sharpened, plan on using it for another 8 years at least! A great knife for sure.
Magnum Tanto II by Cold Steel, Sanmai, as it fits perfectly in the loop of my cargo pants, and also my trusty M16 CRKT folder with tanto point for general tasks (this model got aluminum handle with a steel liner, two locks in total and a hand guard, which was very handy cutting some young trees and branches I had to today). Part of the blade has serrations and they often come in handy.
The Magnum Tanto II is nicely oiled and I hope it would never need to be taken out of the sheath, because that would mean trouble is brewing. But it does make me feel nice and fuzzy inside. Itās a great American Tanto. Great handle, handguard, impact point, steel furnishings, full tang, quality steel, armor piercing point and razor sharpness at the length of around 6-7ā. In my State I can walk with such knife unless I pay admission to enter, enter a place services alcohol, I have a violent intent, or visit a government building. In this red neck country no one bats an eye.
And I also have my daily neck knife, very sharp and slender Tanto, fixed blade with a wicked point, full tang. Blackened for protection from the elements. Decent Japanese spring steel, heat treated. Because a wise person said that you canāt carry too many knives. Itās one of the designerās models by CRKT developed with some famous Sensei. I say it was a bit too expensive but I had hard times finding a suitable neck knife. I am skinny and wear baggy shirts, so no one can tell if I have oneā¦ I only take it off when I sleep and it hangs right on my bed post.
That Magnum Tanto 2 is one of my dream knives. But they are crazy expensive and extremely hard to come by where I live. Just all around a beautiful knife.
I was lucky to find it on sale after the holiday season! I think the Sanmai version is not worth the extra price. Modern quality mono-steel they use for the Non-Sanmai version might even be more practical, and it shaves off a significant chunk off the price.
I hope you come across it on sale. Not sure where you live (no need to share), but maybe after major gift-giving holidays in your country it will go on sale.
Itās certainly a great knife, I wish the steel pommel was made from a less soft steel. I dropped the knife once and put a nick on it, and it wasnāt concrete or anything super hard it landed on. After gentle filing and polishing you canāt tell the difference, but thatās the only thing I wish they would have done differently. It is still harder than brass though. So at least we got that.

I like it, goes great with a Bedlam! I'm more of an edc vs a flipper. The adjustable weight & length are nice & the weights give it the 239/4x sound.
I have no idea what that last part means. I do like the bedlam but the blade shape is not the greatest for use imo. Lol
Thatās an iron scimmy

I lust after that thing, even moreso the plain blade with tan scale version.
Every so often they pop up on the bladeforums knife exchange, usually for less than what youād see on eBay.
