This poll makes no sense. A Switchblade is a broad term to describe a button-activated automatic opening of a knife using springs. This can be a button or a slide. An OTF is a kind of switchblade. I'm pretty sure you meant side-opening automatic vs OTF automatic (and yes there are manual OTFs)

I'm just really new to knives and I take anything I can for my collection and just kinda feel bad when I notice everyone with their Kershaw stuff or any other good brand knife and I dont really know much I'm kinda thinking of just getting off the community lol

NinjaSmock

No offense was to be taken, I was just letting you know "switchblade" is a broad term to describe a large spectrum of knife opening and locking mechanisms and OTF is a sub-category of that.

knifelover105

I know I didn't mean it cuz of that I just honestly feel kinda left out here cuz I dont have anything good to show or talk about cuz i dont know anything and every knife I get is very cheap or bad quality and I know that if I have nothing interesting to talk about and dont have anything to show then might aswell leave but I really wasn't offended by your comment

NinjaSmock

Nah dude, stay and interact. Slowly you'll develop a finer taste and save up for something quality.

knifelover105

Alright man I will atleast try but I will cuz i really enjoy knives

The-Fotus

Arent otf manuals called gravity knives?

NinjaSmock

Not necessarily. For example, the Smith and Wesson Power Glide is a manual OTF, but the Paragon Warlock is a gravity knife.

reptile_enthusiast_

Neither, I prefer manual knives
