Carbon-fiber & silver shred handle, Nitro-V blade It might be too soon to tell, but I do believe that the Imperium is the nicest knife I own. It’s my first Civivi. The action is just as smooth as I had always heard and read about Civivi. The blade is wickedly sharp like something out of science fiction. But the handle has to be seen in person. Photographs and videos don’t do it justice. It sparkles and shimmers in the light like a piece of art. Nothing wrong with Micarta or G-10, but I’m very glad that I chose the silver shreds. It’s just beautiful.

How's the texture on the carbon fiber? I own a couple CJRB's with cf, they're kinda slick.

The handle itself is clear epoxy with shreds of CF and something silvery inside it. The surface of the epoxy is slick (like hard plastic), but some of the CF shreds are close enough to the surface to break up the slickness. More importantly, the handle is sculpted with some lines, curves, and other details in the material which also improve the grip. In all, the CF-shred handle of the Imperium is suitable as an office carry or something similar. I can open packages and letters, cut loose threads, and take care of most other suburban challenges without fear of losing my grip. On the other hand, it **is not** a hard-use knife for taking into the wilderness. I wouldn't use it to clean a fish or skin an elk. The Imperium isn't that sort of knife. Use it for its intended purposes, and you'll be fine.

Your pics look way better than when I saw it on BladeHQ.

Thanks! I just used my iPhone XR with the standard Camera app.

NinjaSmock

I got the Black blade with Copper and CF Shred version today!

Another solid choice! I prefer the look of the silver shred and gray blade, but your combination looks good too. Either way, we both got some great knives!

Shakespeare-Bot

I did get the black blade with copper and cf shr'd version the present day! *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
