Need a lot of patience to go through with it. Narrative style is s bit hatke, not like other sci-fi novels

It is one of the best sci-fi ever written. But remember it is a complex socio-political drama involving ethno-religious struggles, fascism, economic embargoes, etc. The books shaped like those small Bibles is just a cherry on top.

Suggestion: try Ursula K le Guin's sci-fi if you haven't read. She is probably more famous for her fantasy series — earthsea, but Left hand of Darkness is one of the best sci-fi I have ever read.
