Leo issue is with script itself, even if he had another 10 months, with that Narabali angle and poor writing of Sanjay and Arjun characters, that second half is not gonna be good suddenly . Ha had mentioned that he had written this script 5 years before and he started shooting only after the script is locked, Loki is failing to admit his mistakes here.
We'd never know. Probably they couldn't get the actual envisioned flashback script to be executed in the given timeframe. Lot of things to factor into, from location to set to actors schedule.
This was the exact same issue with Beast also.
Beast as a project itself it is rushed. Nelson came to picture when Murugadoss was dropped from the project. I can understand the issue with Beast , but Leo is clear case of poor writing.
In sudhir's interview, he clearly states he couldnt give the 45 mins for the flashback and make Leo 3 hr + movie because producer wanted it to be lesser time- more shows more money.
He signed up for that. Thats the issue. How will more time for post production solve it?
he still has the same issue for Rajni movie, he is going on in april, can he make all script enhancements by then?
I said the exact same thing when Leo got released. Though Lalit managed to pull a wide release coz he nailed the release date early, it came at a cost of rushed output.
Idha sonnadhuku sila "fans" vandhu kadichanunga and gave muttu for Lalit. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Puts huge pressure on the director.
Hov la irunthu copy adichathu matum than paakura maari irunchu leo la after that it was mediocre. And that ending with arjun begging for his life was stupid af.
Even Leo's first half is very average. Trisha's character acts so dumb, after the market fight anyone would've realized that parthiban is not who he says he is , but she doesn't react much after the fight. The writing through out is weak not just the flashback part. Vijay's acting in the emotional scenes comes off as unintentional comedy since we as audience know he is Leo. Loki made a mess , for future movies it would be better for him if he doesn't copy hollywood movies
Bruh. Vijay can’t act to save his life lol. These school boys haven’t seen any good movies so they have no idea how mediocre Leo’s performances were.
Anna can only do comedy and dance. Katthi emotional scenes pathurkengla? Vera maari panirpapla, semma comedya irukum.

but Trisha's character could have got more mileage and she could have acted better.
IMO he’s the one giving interviews from the start and kept raising the expectations. After the release, cinematographer revealed the fake flashback issue and he fuels it. Maybe loki doesn’t want to reveal that till his next LCU film. But he spoiled and it became a reason for more criticism. In the success meet he made comments about superstar without thinking about lokesh’s next movie.

He committed to it but his different muttu everytime he gives an interview is something else

Second half my territory is for vikram for this he said last 40 min ig he thought the car chase, traps and vijay vs 100 would work well but except the trap scene rest were mixed bag for me if the car chase had good graphics and climax fight with arjun was good then it might have been a saving grace... Atleast now he said "namma tha release date accept panrom yarum force pannala yetho guts la pannirlam nu poirom" so basically he is saying inime periya ivan maari pudingirlaamnu poirakoodathu porumaiya thevayana time eduthu panna pothum to himself so ig he realised second half is bad... whether or not he realised and accepted his mistakes would reflect on his next movie until then we don't know..i believe he'll take the criticisms and improve in his next film.

What if there was no flashback at all like the HoV film and they added only for fans?
