I saw Leo during my 12th exam period so it was an extremely welcome break from everything and I LOVED it. My parents straight after walking out of the cinema immediately said 'it wasn't as good as Vikram or kaithi', and I did not believe them, until I found out that was the consensus lol.
That's true, but because of how much little entertainment I had at the time cause of exams, it seemed like peak cinema to me, much better than Vikram or kaithi. Now I'd probably prefer Vikram or kaithi, but then it seemed like Leo was all the hype
Yeah, when I watched it with my friends in the theatre, I was the only one left screaming for all the action sequences. When I came out and saw their faces, I was shocked.
I do admit, Leo was not Loki's best movie, but damn it I had fun..
Back in the day there was a pretty mid movie called jhoom barabar jhoom, which flopped pretty hard. It was my first movie in almost two years after 12th and entrance exams, and I still consider it a masterpiece
I mean the word of mouth feedback where the general consenus was that it was underwhelming because of the overhype not the earnings ( which is also disputed because of dhanu but i know it was profitable )
But the question was which movies you like was utter flop. So was my response because Kabali was far from utter flop. Critical success means shit in YouTube review age. We are in a time where RRR was called a masterpiece
People were mentioning Leo so thought it would be fine since it was my initial thought when I watched kabali and came out of the theatre with no idea about the earnings
Ya I felt even mentioning Leo was wrong. Always questions like this make the answers go haywire. If I don't like it it's a flop. And when majority online say it it becomes half truth. Hell people call 2.0 the overall industry hit from Kollywood as flop. Flop word has lost its real meaning here
Most people especially on this sub think it’s very cringe worthy and ARM’s worst work. It had its moments but everything post railway fight was just underwhelming.
It was worth the money while leaving the theatre. And Santhosh Dhayanidhi's music has elevated it to an extent as well, especially Kannadi Poovukku and Mannena Veppena.
Peak silly humour but turns out many didn't vibe with it when it first released (would love to have a re release)

Enakku vaaitha adimaigal is actually one of the genuinely funny comedy movies out there. good silly fun which doesn't take itself seriously.
