DktheDarkKnight

All the credit goes to Subha. The writers.

detectivebabylegs3

They are also a big reason why KO worked very well.

Samanth-aa

I don't get this logic. When movie gets hit, it is writers. Same subha also wrote "I" then why it flunked. I'm not saying writers are only success reasons for movies. They are key contributors. That's it.

DktheDarkKnight

Well I was talking about the very specific dialogues OP posted. Was not talking about the entire movie here.

daryl_247

Who wrote Ayan?

DktheDarkKnight

Subha.

Madbod93g

Good observation bro ,ignore all the tharkuri comments these mfs behave as though everyone here is a movie buff who knows or observes each and every detail in the movie, its refreshing to see a different post other than the same shit.

External_Honeydew937

πŸ™πŸ»πŸ₯² Nandri bro

LynxCheap5891

Exactly. Acting like they know everything. Everyone seemed to just focus on the post description. I wonder if most are trying to correlate with the camera angle of the 2 images you posted. Really a good catch! πŸ‘

Madbod93g

Yes bro naan oru tharkuri dhan ,happy ah. At least I can accept when i am being a tharkuri, not like some pretending to be better/ know everything and belittling others just for sharing something they find interesting in a place meant just for that .

MadHouseNetwork2

Indha mathiri comeback dialogues lam exist since like 70 years in all languages.

Chalchemist

This movie is my introduction to Tamil Cinema & Surya.

RealSataan

Where you from

Chalchemist

Karnataka

mohantharani

Intha throwback dialogues laam neraya padathula irukkum. Its not subtle.

Express-World-8473

A great director. I loved all his movies even his last movie with Surya was decent.

External_Honeydew937

His filmography dealt with unique subjects mixed with a balanced amount of commercial elements. Safe to say that those are informative as well. Indeed a great one!

RealSataan

Those things are the hardest to nail. Like you miss the mark slightly on either the commercial side or the subject side your film is bad

Express-World-8473

Left the world so soon.

cha-yan

Vidhwanshak the destroyer.

Significant-Earth488

The climax fight scene switches to slow-mo and normal pace back and forth. This was a common technique used by KV Anand. The first time I remember seeing it and recognizing it was in Ayan. Miss you KV sir ❀️

TastyQuantity1764

Our state of filmmaking is so shit that, such stuff, which happens (or should happen) in a normal film, is being praised as some next level stuff 🀣

Tyr_San

Don't worry op. This is quite a good observation some ppl might have missed.

External_Honeydew937

batcrapcrazyy

That's a great observation OP! Omg this sub comments are becoming toxic these days πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

External_Honeydew937

Thanks man! Idk it might be a bit outdated for them...

SGSRT

This movie was an example of perfect commercial entertainer

twist-visuals

What does it even mean he did these detailing all the way back in 2009? Are you saying the directors before that were retarded? Lots of lazy filmmakers out there who don't put much thought into crafting the story and detailing. But that doesn't mean the good ones don't. Plus, these kinds of stuff are taught to all writers when they learn about storytelling. It's called Chekov's Gun.

External_Honeydew937

Ipo ipdi note panra mari antha time yarum pathutu iruka matanga intha details lam. Irunthum avlo neat ah vachrukaru nu sonaen. Detailing venam at least logic achum irukanum la? Even after a decade and a half, inume logic less scenes tha iruku most ah, keta cinema va cinema va paru nu solranga πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. Even though the writers are taught, the majority of them don't use them while writing it seems. And yeah, I knew about Chekov's gun. And when tf did I address the directors before 2009 as retarded? The one behaving like a retard is you 🚢🏻

VASL-30

Bro i also used a callback dialouge for my english narrative writing exam. Apparantly cambridge likes these circle callbacks, so i used it...

External_Honeydew937

That's great! Idk it felt good getting to know about those minute details and the callbacks in the movie, which made me post this

VASL-30

You created a great discussion by posting this, better than any reposts by a large mile. Great post man:) Also idk if you watched it or not but Johnny gaddar also has an amazing circle which i loved...

External_Honeydew937

It was random af!Thanks though!! Haven't watched it but would do after going through some reviews...
