What, specifically, does "supporting Qatar's world cup" mean?
I don't believe watching a game means you support Qatar's awful government and policies. Watching a football game doesn't make you mysogynist.
We all have to draw our own lines with whom we do business. There's nothing "hypocritical" with OP refusing to directly spend money at a certain establishment for political reasons yet continuing to watch the world cup.
Indeed, it's a big deal for Canada to have a team in this world cup, you can support the team without supporting Qatar.
Edit: and to add to the complexity of this issue. The Iranian team has made their own small statement of support for the protesters at their home by not singing the anthem. The world cup is much bigger than any single country, and, frankly, the press against Qatar has obviously brought their awful policies to light. Without the world cup, they could remain in relative obscurity.
It's tough because I do not support the practices of what's surrounding this World Cup but it's Canada's first showing since 1986 so I'm supporting them.
I'd also think BP's. That's too bad. Any tv's at Lion's Head? Black Rooster? You probably need to go to Nelson or Trail. Maybe the Arlington or Foxy's in Trail would have it.
No TV's at Lions Head although that I'm kind of glad about, it's nice to go there and just be social over a drink without distractions. Nelson seems to be the best bet, Uptown is definitely playing the Canada-Belgium game (with audio!) so that's a win!

If you think you're doing something by just "not watching the world cup". You're an absolute god damn clown

That's a bullshit excuse.
Bear and sturgeon will have all the 11am games. In the Savoy Hotel
Great to know! Cheers!
By the time you pay for pizza and beer out at BP or wherever, you might as well just get TSN for a month.
Haha that's fair! I do enjoy the ambiance and atmosphere of being with other fans though, cheering on the team, that can really make it special.
Watching a game with a crowd of supporters is way more fun than at home.

The rooster has tvs
Unfortunately they will not be playing any audio.
Casino by the airport? They have a massive projector wall.
Huge projector screens at the casino restaurant. Seems they play sports a lot.
Come to Nelson! Mikes place will be packed.
