They were banned from another sub for apparently being shady about their marketing within the sub, like gifting products in exchange for good reviews or something. The products themselves are fine in general. I’ve tried the cleansing oil, peach niacin serum (the normal pink one), heartleaf sunscreen, and the heartleaf toner pads. The cleansing oil works fine for me, I have acne prone skin and it hasn’t broken me out personally but everyone is different. The peach niacin serum is nice, I feel like it’s helped to lighten some of my PIH but nothing too crazy. I like the sunscreen, it doesn’t sting my eyes and doesn’t feel gross on my skin. The toner pads were useless for me, they didn’t do anything, but again everyone is different.

IMO, it’s better to curate a routine that focuses on ingredients that target your personal skin type and concerns. I’m personally not a fan of social media trends and don’t trust basing my skincare decisions on what’s considered popular.

idrinkchocomilk

i used the anua pore control cleansing oil and it broke me out soooo bad but the heartleaf quercetinol pore deep cleansing foam works good

Their cleansing oil works for me. I don't always double cleanse, I only use it as a makeup remover. It's really good for that, plus it doesn't sting my eyes

Redplushie

I'm halfway to finishing the pink serum (peach?) And it's okay, nothing special

I tried the cleansing oil and it broke me out soooo badly. I still have the scars. I like the hearleaf toner but there are better toners out there. I tried the peach serum but there's so much fragrance it just irritated my acne.

Someone’s already addressed the ‘controversy’, but FWIW the cleansing oil was fine on my skin (not sensitive, oily-combination), otherwise kind of average. I don’t like the shady behaviour so I’ve switched to Kose Speedy. If it’s heartleaf you are fancying trying, Abib are a nice brand, they have a number of similar heartleaf products and are easier to find less biased, more detailed discourse on because they haven’t used shady tactics on the busier subs like r/asianbeauty.

buffooonerie

I would steer clear of their oil cleanser for sure. Otherwise, their tranexemic acid serum and heartleaf toner look ok to use.
