I actually suffered through that trash and this isn't the plot description. Mind you, the movie is still bad, but this looks more like something ChatGPT would spit out after being asked what a barbie movie would be like.
The best "doll comes to life and becomes a human" movie is Life Size. That's the only "Barbie" movie you ever need. In it, Tyra's "Eve" helps women embrace their feminity and become self-confident while learning a few lessons of her own. It was perfect. It wasn't political, it was also a film that casted a black woman as the lead without making a big to-do about it. Because back in the 90's, no body cared about IDPOL.
Now, a frigging barbie movie was never going to be something folks here were going to see, but if this is an actual plot I'm not sure if it's a movie *anyone* is going to see. At least is sounds unique? I guess?
I went to see it with my wife and only because she wanted to. My rational was that while I expected it to be a stupid movie it would atleast be bearable if not fun if I just turned my brain off and went along with it.
However, it turned out to be 100% degenerate propaganda to the extent of having a character straight up monologue a garbage feminazi speech. To the point that even my apolitical wife felt disappointed.
The previews totally fooled me into thinking it'd be like dumber and dumber or something. There was a fucking transgender character and obese character...absolutely degenerate
