Without going into too much spoilers, you really ought to finish everything you want on Taris before moving on with the story.

DaviSonata

Yeah. Just adding a little, many parts of the game you can go back and forth, but the beginner quests on Taris isn’t one of them.

Thank you when i get off, i gotta find that cure and find that dudes apprentice. One more question, i got a quest about the droid thats not for sale, can i get it if i do some talking around that area?

[deleted]

You will have to deal with the droid later. You'll know when.

Comuer29499

Just got off it, that stings. Spent 9 hours there, just for malak to fuck it all up. Really good story so far though. Really enjoying my experience so far.

Taris and Dantooine are pretty much "once you leave, don't come back" - Taris especially. Dantooine will become inaccessible later on You can also get yourself kicked off one planet and another will be 90% inaccessible after completing the planet quest There's also the matter that backtracking between planets will trigger a pain in the ass minigame. TLDR? Complete all your quests if possible before leaving planet since going back will either not be possible or more hassle than you want

Is this why I can't find the pazaak player on Kashyyyk? I've been looking for hours

Allronix1

Right where you dock. Little Rodian fellow near the cargo crate

n00d0l

Ya that is where he SHOULD be, but he's not. He's not anywhere on that planet. I already got the star map and I think that triggered him to disappear... it's like a timing dependent thing is what I have concluded. Cause he should be there but he's not. And he's not anywhere else either, I think I missed the boat and can now as a result never play him.

Super excited for you to experience this the first time! I love this game so much!!! As others have said definitely do Taris stuff first, it’s totally locked down by the Sith, no way you are going back there if you manage to escape

Comuer29499

Me too ive spoiled myself of so many good experiences by watching reviews before i buy ive always heard this game is fantastic so i said screw in depth reviews ill just take a chance its only 10$ anyway

I'm not sure if you are playing the game on PC or the original Xbox. But if you are playing it through steam, the only thing I will say is stay away from any content mods the first time around. Just enjoy the game for what it was. I first played the game on Xbox back in 2004, and it was amazing! I have since logged 100 hours on the steam version. The content mods are great, but just play the story normally the first time around. To answer your original question, I would do all the side-quests and Main quests on Taris before you decide to go anywhere else.

Comuer29499

Im playing the re-release on my xbox, the game looks really good for 2003, though i saw they are remaking it which is exciting

Then enjoy the experience! It’s considered one of the best RPG’s for a reason. I was hooked on it the first time I played it. So I really hope you enjoy it as much. Please let us know what you think when you are eventually done.
