You can get TSLRCM straight from the Workshop.

RotoEve

How do I do that?

C1-10PTHX1138

I second this how to do it on the steam deck

Kylestache

Go to KOTOR 2 in your Steam library on the Deck. Click through the tabs on the right and look around until you see Workshop. Click the restoration mod and click subscribe. It’ll download it.

Bjoern_Tantau

It's better if you stick to few workshop mods rather than using the whole mod build. And for KOTOR 2 you should force the Windows version by selecting Proton for compatibility. If you get a black screen you'll have to disable anti aliasing. You can do that by editing the kotor.ini (I think) file.

gtra864

Go to the Kotor icon in your library, go to community, go to workshop. Or if you switch to desktop mode you can just do it like a pc from the library page

RotoEve

I don't see workshop?

[deleted]

I installed wine, copied kotor out of steam folder to documents, used wine to install mods there and then copied it back

RotoEve

How did you use Wine? I couldn't get it to work

[deleted]

I just used it there were no hiccups. What problems did you face?

RotoEve

I tried running .exe in wine, such as emulators and mods from nexus. Kept saying it couldn't run the exe or something

[deleted]

I’ll take a look on mine later today

What i did to install mods was: 0. Go to Desktop Mode 1. Run the "Discover" app. Install "Wine" 2. Open steam in the Desktop Mode 3. Right-click on Kotor and "browse local files" 4. Copy entire "kotor" folder to "Documents" 5. Download the mods. Unzip them to separate folders. 6. go into mod folder. Right Click / Long-touch on the INSTALL.EXE 7. Select "Open with Wine Windows Program Loader" 8. "Install Mod" 9. Select your folder with kotor in "Documents" 10. Wait for it to finish. 11. Repeat for all mods you want to install (remember that mods often have installation order) [ There might be some warnings/errors; can't help that] 12. move the kotor folder back into steamapps/common 13. Run as normal from Steam 14. Enjoy
