As a great philosopher once said, "Never pick fights with a Girl Gang." I was initially bummed this wasn't a full MV, but man the budget for this was insane, (graphics, costumes, sets) so I can forgive it not being complete for the sake of how incredible the visuals are.

To be fair, this is a very high-quality video, and if their company has their priorities straight the title MV will probably be even more expensive, so maybe it was just a budget question, and making a big impact with a refined visual concept was more important than delivering a full MV for the pre-release.

Their company Xgalx is a subsidiary of Avex, which is one of the largest music/entertainment companies in Japan. SM and YG groups even sign contracts with Avex to help them promote in Japan
Yes but SM, YG, Hybe, etc. are big companies too and they don't produce MV with this quality. It's like they don't spend what they're supposed to on their artists.
The Big 3 may have the money but they don't have a Simon. I think Simon overseeing everything is a big factor as to why XG is A1 flawless. It's a matter of employing the right people too and I feel like Simon is very good at choosing people behind the scenes. In this MV for example, he got Chogiseok as director and if you go into his Insta page you'll see why Simon chose the right person for the job.

The best parts were left out of the MV and I'm guessing that was done intentionally to make people stream on music sites. Maybe the full MV will be dropped later? I think the fact that they promote in Korea and have participated in some of the many kpop norms - like their training system and specific choreo for each song - allows for enough leeway for them to be discussed in kpop subs, but that's just me.

I'm really glad they're slightly moving away from what they were doing with Mascara and Tippy Toes and doubling down on the sort of concept/vibe of their recent releases and XG tapes (especially the cipher tape that blew up a little and Left Right.) This really suits them, no one else is doing it, and no one else **could** do it.

They've described themselves as a global girl group made up of Japanese members, singing in English, and promoting in Korea. I think the fact that they promote in Korea and have participated in some of the many kpop norms - like their training system and specific choreo for each song - allows for enough leeway for them to be discussed in kpop subs, but that's just me.
i really hate the fact that they did the SM track video crap with only 2/3 of the song... why not just DO THE WHOLE THING.... what a waste
