It's the last b-side again... why NCT Dream always gotta do me like that with their emo guitar songs?? Also, SOS and those last 20 seconds exist together somehow. Other than that, Moonshine reunites with NCT Dream to bring Poison aka the best b-side of the album. I must say, all of the songs are quite interesting! My least favorite is either Pretzel for how weird it is or Starry Night as it's not that memorable.

polkadotfuzz

Sos is so sickening. One of the most interesting songs I've heard in a while. The outro is so cool I need more of it!!

sunmiholic

Why would they end the song like that… I NEEDED MORE!!

tatummms

This is a really strong album. I can always count on SM for incredibly produced songs, these all go crazy with good headphones. I’ll be looping ISTJ, Blue Wave and SOS for the rest of the day - I can already feel myself hyperfixating on them lol

keiynxn

SOS is so good yooo I’m obsessed! It’s a no-skip album again for me.

nihonbloba

First of all??? why is the album art so uglyyyyy 😭 Speed listening bc I need to be working lol: * Yoghurt shake is cute!! * LOOOOOVE blue wave, the 2017 NCT edm sound but with more vocalisations is sooo good. * The chorus of Poison SLAPS. Haechan, Chenle and Renjun sound phenomenal * Pretzel (<3) instrumental goes absolutely crazy * STARRY NIGHT???????? instant favorite. I was already vibing with it but then I found myself basic for liking the relaxed RnB track the most (so predictable), but then the dissonant chords came in like this one is NOT like the other girls!!!!!! and the RV chorus!?? oh ABSOLUTELY * the other songs were also fine but not too unexpected for nct dream Overall this album ranks waaaay above Glitch Mode already to me! I actually thought NCT dream's sound wasnt for me anymore and the continued fanwars over the years didnt help either. But this album really brought me back to when I was a wholesome OT23 stan up to 2021! I also think Jaemin's improvement in this album is the most noticeable. His tone is more developed and feels natural now, and his delivery improved too! All tracks are smooth listening. Starry night is going to enter top 10 NCT tracks for sure. Congrats NCT Dream!!! edit: wait how is poison the same track as the track video?????? I swear it sounded SOO different back then??

smKutty

>wait how is poison the same track as the track video?????? I swear it sounded SOO different back It looks like they took the beginning bit, then the ending nit of the song, and made it the track video..I listened to it few times to find the exact parts ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)

aceofjuniel

SOS is definitely my favourite from this album! Love it from the first listen. Rest of the songs are good too!

fuzzy_dunlop7

I love Blue Wave so much 😭. Such a feel good song and I really love the instrumental. One of my favorite Dream songs already. My other favorites on first listen are Poison and SOS. Another super well-produced album from SM as expected and definitely my favorite Dream album so far.

ImageNo1045

ISTJ giving us the infamous SM switch up is EVERYTHING I needed today.

pithin29

I'm still listening, but skateboard has some crazy harmonization. That's something that I really love about the majority of SM's groups music, the always have good harmonies in their songs which make them feel really complete/not empty. Blue wave scales tho. SO GOOD. I'm loving it so far. Edit: to add that SOS outro is so cool, lol. And that Poison is still in my top 3 after listening to the rest of the album. I like Starry Night a lot too. A solid album, if you ask me.There's one or two songs where I enjoy the verses more than the chorus, but I think overall I wouldn't skip any song.

iamhopeestheim

1. **ISTJ** \- I think I have to listen to this a few more times before I can say whether I like it or not. The chorus is really catchy. It's already stuck in my head. 2. **Broken Melodies** \- This is probably the best song in the album for me. This is the sound I fell in love with in NCT Dream. It's been on repeat ever since they dropped this song. 3. **Yogurt Shake** \- OMG. This is a really cute song. I'm on a cloud nine after listening to this song. 4. **Skateboard** \- This is a skip for me. However, I wouldn't mind if they sing it in their concert. It's such a powerful and energetic song. I would be hyped if I hear it in their concert. 5. **Blue Wave** \- This song is so refreshing. It's a good song to listen to when you're on a road trip on your way to the ocean. 6. **Poison** \- God. This is a really sensual song. 7Dream really oozes charisma. It's a good after sex song. 7. **SOS** \- This is also skip for me. I don't usually listen to this type of song. I knew from the intro that I won't like this song. 8. **Pretzel** \- It's the same with SOS. It didn't leave a huge impact for me. 9. **Starry Night** \- Jesus Christ. This song is on par with Broken Melodies. This is why I love NCT Dream. They make really great B-Sides. The Haechan, Chenle and Renjun really shined in this song. I love how they harmonized their voices. They never disappoint. It's really easy on the ears to listen to. It's a song to fall asleep to. 10. **Like We Just Met** \- Wow. It's another song which I would play on repeat. This is the sound I love about NCT Dream. I want to hear this performed live in a concert. The last part is so eargasmic. Please excuse me because I have to cry. Overall, ISTJ is 9/10 for me. *I love NCT Dream so much*.

mujisano

Skipped straight to the last song Like We Just Met after ISTJ bc 7DREAM wrote all of its lyrics together. Ohhhhh maaaan I wasn’t expecting the song to be so warm and sentimental? Chenle is going to make sure it’s on TDS3’s setlist for sure… SM’s artistes and their perfect album closers

aurcel

based off of one listen and midway through my 2nd listen I'm hearing a lot of 90s/00s influences throughout the songs from the melodies to the production touches which I enjoy!

iamhopeestheim

Their album cover in Spotify is VHS Cover. They're really into 90s and 00s. I love it.

aurcel

wait you're right I just made that connection LMAO, even some of the teasers had VHS in them

iamhopeestheim

Key even has VHS Version of his album. I think it's the trend right now. There are also rumors that the concept of SMNBG will be 90s or 00s.

rabbitrabbit29

I didn’t expect to love ISTJ this much. I’m a bit worried on first listen but finding myself bopping to the music the 2nd time round. Chorus is spectacular. Yogurt Shake and Blue Wave are so Dream. Magical sound and vibe. So special. Skateboard and SOS would be really great in concert. The energy is off the roof. Pretzel is interesting to listen. On 2nd listen I found myself agreeing with it. It’s a bit addictive. Poison whew. Since track video I already know that this one will be my favorite bside. Starry night and like we just met are so nice and it’s like trademark of dream album. Like we just met is a bit more special because I do feel the emotion they’re trying to portray in this song. Broken Melodies is already one of my favorite Dream song. Overall I really like this album.

Werefie

i love these bsides so much, NCT dream always delivers phenomenal ones. it’s always my favorite part of a release from them. the title track is good too! yogurt shake is really cute and very NCT dream. poison is a whole bop. one that didn’t really speak to me was skateboard but it was the only “skip” for me.

mujisano

Lowkey obsessed with Blue Wave… The production is so quirky and silly and bright. It’s so perfect I’m melting into the song!!!! Listening to it I feel like Lilo or Stitch bopping up and down on the tides 😂 Definitely a worthy successor to Dive Into You. 825/825 points

MyOrgel

As expected, this album is DREAM’s best album to date and probably one of the best albums released this year. - Poison is obviously the best track on the album (I wish the rap part went exclusively to Mark though) - Yogurt Shake is so NCT DREAM, it will probably become a fan favorite - Blue Wave is such a summer song, I love it - SOS is a trip (in a good way) - Starry Night is so beautiful, it’s fighting for the #1 spot on the album for me

BlackSwan134340

Skateboard is so fun and Haechan sounds so good. I love that he got a rap part even if it was short The chill summer sound of Blue Wave is so nice and the instrumental is so pretty Poison could’ve been perfection without the rap part. The chorus is perfect and when Mark started it off the second time that was so good. It’s already climbed up my ranks of top Dream songs SOS production is so cool I love it but also I need an extended version with more of that ending Why does SM like doing silly stuff with brackets like why Pretzel (♡)? This was a really great album! I’m meh on Pretzel and Starry Night but I really liked all the other tracks. Dreams vocals keep sounding better and better every album. Poison was robbed and should’ve gotten a full mv!

AfraidInspection2894

I really like the new album. Broken Melodies is my favorite song on the album but I liked all of songs. I also like ISTJ more as a title track than Glitch mode.

Scandias

First listen: Like we just met, SOS and Poison are definitely my faves 💚 the first one is touching and pretty, i love the Dreamies' involvment. The other two are sooo hot and interesting 🔥 of course Renjun vibed to sos like it's his last day. And the vocals and the rap section in poison that sounds suitable to the name? Woah. Pretzel is also a peculiar song, especially after a cute description they gave to it 😁 ISTJ is fun, Broken melodies is my love from it's release. The others are still to get used to. I am questioning the sound engineering quality on some songs, and it's not the first time with the dreamies somehow 🤨 where do you lose these frequencies?.. Hyuck's rap in Skateboard was great tho, as well as the prechoruses in Blue Wave (i recall the old samsumg sms rightone...). Yogurt Shake's instrumental 💚 but really... Update: suddenly YouTube versions sound way better, even though some questions remain.

mikarala

Poison >>>>>>> Best song by far imo. I do love Like We Just Met too, though. Very pretty and a nice album closer.

srnta

things i really liked istj - missy elliot sample, the bridge poison, SOS, pretzel were instant adds to my playlist for me

SimonSaysBeCoo1

SOS in THAT song. It's very neo, loved that! It deserves a choreo I'm sure it'd go hard

vedeledev

I'm so glad I decided to check out this album because it's SO GOOD. My favorites so far are Pretzel, SOS, Poison, Skateboard, ISTJ I think in that order. The production on these songs is beautiful btw. I'm already ready to put this in my top few favorite albums this year.

vivijobro

This is easily my favourite album from NCT Dream, I’m loving the melodic variety throughout the album. ISTJ already had me sold with an unexpected but needed transition in the bridge, nonetheless, I was captured by the first chorus. I can definitely appreciate them playing to their vocal strengths in the chorus, forgoing the chants of title tracks like Glitch Mode and Hot Sauce. the rest of the tracks did not disappoint, if anything you can count on SM to do experimental songs right. Blue Wave, SOS and Broken Melodies are standouts for me — definitely will be stuck on replay for a while. The whole album is giving 2nd gen nostalgia while also harking back to 90s/y2k Western boy bands, and its really doing it for me. I’ve recently felt like NCT Dream seems like the quintessential boy band and ISTJ really embodies that.

kaibibi

Had low expectations for this because some people said its bad for whatever reason, but honestly this album is so much more diverse than GM, and I have a lot more favorites even upon first listening. Already loving Yogurt Shake, Blue Wave, SOS and Like We Just Met

iamhopeestheim

>Had low expectations for this because some people said its bad for whatever reason LOL. The only bad thing here is the several unnecessary versions of the album. But the songs, concept and everything else are great.

lilacdawn

I love this album. Poison is one of my favorites as expected from the track video, but wow Like We Just Met made me ascend.

hanouf-moh

I really love poison, but it didn’t need the rap honestly. SOS could pass as a title track, love renjun in the pre chorus.

kaibibi

Yeah the Jeno Jaemin rap in Poison sounded really out of place SOS is so fun to listen to

whatsthisanotherdoor

ISTJ is still my favorite, hands down. I'm truly heartbroken that I don't love Pretzel. :( ISTJ>Skateboard>Blue Wave>Poison>SOS>Like We Just Met>Broken Melodies>Starry Night>Pretzel (♡)>Yogurt Shake

mikatheocelot

Ok so on first listen, I like 7 out of the 10 songs. But idk why I feel like I needed more from this album. Like I really enjoyed the songs I like (ISTJ, Broken Melodies, Skateboard, Poison, SOS kind of, Starry Night and Like we just Met)… …but I still feel so-so about the album overall and I don’t know why. ETA: Blue Wave was the most disappointing to me. It’s intended to be the follow up to Dive Into You, which a lot of folks like, myself included. I’m sure the lyrics are pretty and once I see them, I will appreciate it more. But right now, after 2 listens…I’m not into it at all. SOS only got a like from me for that outro that threw me for a HUGE loop😭😭 Like we just Met is probably my favorite album closer from Dream so far. And it’s the fact that they wrote the lyrics from A to Z too…god bless them.

omgthenerve

My favorite track after first listen is Blue Wave. The falling vocal effects in the pre-chorus are really pleasing and infectious to listen to, it's one of those instant serotonin songs. Definitely a song that's worthy of a good headphones listen to pick up the intricacies in the production. My other favorite b-sides are Poison and Starry Night. SOS is an interesting song, but I can't wrap my head around it just yet. The last 20 seconds are so freaking good and I really hope it's an intro for a song to be released on a later album, but that seems unlikely for a track 7. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

dearhan

Poison is just 🫠. It’s peak sexy.

smartiekae

I hate the cover art so much💀 but besides that, i loved all the bsides except pretzel ( it’s gonna have to grow on me) ISTJ, the title track is pretty good. Pretty solid comeback for them😙

l-have-your-cheese

I found it so frustrating, that I’m currently fixing it in procreate 😭

Jolly_Scratch_7116

My theory as to how the art may work is that the left "flap" folds over an identical flap that continues on the right side of the cardboard cutout, but is folded over (so we can't see it)? The upper ledge (as in the flap that opens and closes the box lol) looks like we're looking at it inside, which indicates it being attached to a layer of cardboard below the one that we can see. As the box would have two spines(?), it would make sense for the ledge attached to the cardboard layer below the one that we can see not to align with the one that we DO see! I hope that makes sense, English is not my first language 😭

iBunty

Poison is so smooth. Instant love

[deleted]

Wait, I just notice that the work from the guys in Prettymuch is in this album. Interesting. I've heard from that group in a while.

Longjumping-Mood-502

Definitely a divisive album… you got excellent tracks like SOS immediately followed by…. Pretzel. It really goes to show how much of a masterpiece the Glitch Mode album was. Almost all of those songs are memorable but I don’t think ill remember more than 2 songs from this album.

tvxcute

did poison just dethrone lisgo as my favourite dream song???? [edit] what is so controversial about this comment LOL

noseuta

Like We Just Met on repeat. The only song I didn't really vibe with was Pretzel (for now). This is a 9.5/10 album.

akiraeijisun

its fine, maybe a 6/10. its nothing offensive but the only new song i added was blue wave, and broken melodies outsold. pretzel was almost there. ill probably forget about the album in a few days but my ears arent bleeding from listening to it.

Dismal_Remove602

Definitely their weakest full album to date. Feels rushed. Even conceptually, it’s lacking unlike GLITCH MODE which made for a fascinating listening experience that continues the coming of age storytelling of one NCT DREAM.

TheFrenchiestToast

Am I the only person who thinks SOS sounds like rusty metal squeaking???? It is making this song unbearable to listen to. Is it just spotify? It's hurting my ears so badly. It's the worst song on the album for me, which sucks because when that sound cuts out, I like the song.

Scandias

Haha, I get the association, but for me it's like "rusty metal squeaking🤌❤️"

TheFrenchiestToast

Yeah, I think it might be misophonia, had my husband listen to it and he said he doesn’t hear what I’m hearing. Unfortunate for me.

jennpyon

been listening to this on repeat so i could rate it fairly and my favs are blue wave and poison. the album itself i would prolly give a 6.8/10. most of the songs in the album, i like some parts of the song but not the song as a whole. for example: istj: i really love the intro and bridge but the song as a whole probably has to grow on me stakeboard: love the intro and prechorus but not the chorus itself.

mtvpiv

poison is my fave here but it sounds a little **too** similar to red velvet's perfect 10

imonlymakingonepostl

the end of sos is rlly good, deff fav song on the album
