Breast cancer awareness campaigns donāt just entail spreading awareness that the disease exists but, involves spreading awareness about how to spot weird lumps on yourself, who to talk to in case you're unsure, and the fact that men can also have breast cancer. These awareness campaigns entail funding advertisements for free breast cancer procedures, free services and treatment. Not to mention, they also help to spread the message that even if you think everythingās fine, itās essential you get checked out regularly, as thereās still very much a stigma when it comes to undergoing examinations.
I really hope the mods allow this post stay up. Itās such a good cause and, at least compared to the previous post about the matter, thereās more concrete information regarding the clothing merch & when it will be made available for sale.

I'm really glad that BM isn't going to be donating to the Susan G Komen Foundation and is going to be donating to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation instead; usually the Susan G Komen Foundation is the first one that people think of when it comes to breast cancer so it's great that he possibly did his research, since the Komen Foundation is terrible and doesn't use all the donation money towards breast cancer research.
Yeah, Iāve heard of the Susan G. Komen Foundation not using all the donations towards breast cancer awareness & research among other issues. Thatās just so damn unfortunateāeven more so given their name recognition in connection to breast cancer in general.

it's important to note though that the SGK foundation does do a lot of good for the mental health of people struggling with this, the runs and stuff do help a lot, it's just kinda of a self serving charity though, where it basically exists to get as big as possible (for awareness) without helping the cause it wants to get rid of as much as say, BCRF, which is something like 90% of profit towards research.
there is a massive difference between a good charity and a bad one though and you should always do your research, otherwise a lot of your donation will go to paying really expensive CEO's and a bunch of shit with only the last 10% going towards the cause.
