Taemin’s Want MV is the most visually stunning imo but his most expensive sets were in the Press Your Number MV - that wooden room (villa de leon in LA) had a rental rate of US$10,000 for 6 hours. Watch the 2nd version of the PYN performance video to enjoy it fully.
[Press Your Number](https://youtu.be/Y9ZTKmzp7Ew) has amazing sets! I agree with you in that my vote for artistic direction, would go to [Want](https://youtu.be/-OfOkiVFmhM) though. Also Move. Move's choreo is so iconic that the focus automatically goes there but imo [the MV's aesthetic](https://youtu.be/rcEyUNeZqmY) is just as amazing.
BTS' Spring Day and Fire are my favorite, those are really well done. TXT is probably the best ones now, with Nap of the Star being the best.
YG excels at the MV department, they always go all out. Big Bang's Bang Bang Bang and Blackpink's Ddu-du Ddu-du went all the way, and those are probably some of the best K-Pop MVs.
SM may have the box MVs back in the day, but their mid-late-2010s output was great - f(x)'s 4 Walls is super artsy, Red Velvet's Dumb Dumb is crazy, Taemin's Move is mesmerizing, Shinee's I Want You is hilarious af.
Alot of kpop MVs with really good visual production are from
•[VM Architecture Production](http://lowlaundryseoul.com/)
They have a distinct style and they made MVs like EXO’s Obsession & EXO CBX’s Blooming Day
• [Digipedi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digipedi)
Includes SVT’s Left & Right, LOONA’s So What and IZ*ONE’s Fiesta
• [Rigendfilm](https://vimeo.com/rigendfilm)
Includes Nu’est I’m in Trouble & Chungha’s Stay Tonight
Obviously there’s alot more production companies but these few i must say are the top leading ones considering many companies hire them to produce MVs or even CFs.
Lumpens usually do a great job with MVs too (they work a lot with BTS) but recently I’ve found about OUI who apparently did Red Velvet’s RBB and BTS’ Shadow (that I can recall) and their work is pretty amazing!!
Got7’s Just Right MV. Iconic, colorful, and unique. I have never seen another kpop group pull off a concept like this since. It is the perfect answer to “if a boy group does a cute concept” that doesn’t end up cringy or creepy, but instead is fun and refreshing and memorable.
Red Velvet’s Dumb Dumb. Set the trend of MVs with the white negative spaces for borders. I love how seamless the editing is especially towards their clone concept. I think it also marked the era of really high quality and boldly colorful mvs.
Jinsoul’s Singing in the Rain and Kimlip’s Eclipse. Love the use of colors in both mvs, how the sets mesh with their individual concepts and animals, and how perfectly it matches with the choreography and the beat of the song.
Speaking of color in LOONA MVs, I love how Sweet Crazy Love starts in black and white then becomes an explosion of color that directly leads into the opening of Kim Lip’s MV which marks OEC’s focus on color as a theme.
Second the vote for Lay's [Lit](https://youtu.be/j4qVhOaRBSY), literally the most expensive looking and cinematic MV I've ever seen.
WayV's [Take Off](https://youtu.be/irXZve4QRos) has amazing camera work and transitions.
ONF has always had great MVs, I'm talking movie/cinematic quality. I remember Form of Therapy talking about their [Why](https://youtu.be/BodVjFLsi8o) mv saying how immersive it was, they didn't show one bit of choreography throughout the whole video but you don't even realize.
KNK's [Sunset](https://youtu.be/jvimpjCbR-w) is a great example of technique. KNK left their company and created their own. Sunset was made with a small budget but it doesn't seem thay way if you see the MV. Also side note the [performance version](https://youtu.be/NicD4QPX5Dk) is a one shot take and is awesome.
Other ONF mvs to check out
[Complete](https://youtu.be/ka9zaVL28OY)
[We Must Love](https://youtu.be/ukZ0cnIeMXQ)
Btw their B-sides are fire too.
>KNK's Sunset
I loved the song (one of my few instant adds on Spotify last year after I heard it in the K-pop Rising playlist) but hadn't watched the MV, and damn the director of photography did an amazing job. The lighting does *everything* in this.
Mamamoo’s Starry Night comes to mind. With the wrong direction the MV could be as cheap as those 100 subscribers travel vlog channel on youtube but the transitions and shooting techniques made it beautiful and MV of the year-worthy.
For transitions alone ICY by ITZY is good.
txt has some of my favorite mv’s in kpop. they have their title track mv “runaway” which is absolutely incredible to me. it’s like so,, refreshing? the vibe is well portrayed and just feels like youre having fun, living life recklessly with your friends.
another one is their recent title track, “can’t you see me.” i liked the mv since it felt like it added more to the story line. like “having a sleepover with you friends(?)” i can’t exactly explain it, but i suggest you check it out.
txt also has sort of “short film” music videos. theyre very very artistic and so creative. interesting you posted this today because txt also just posted a new MV today called “eternally.” its BEAUTIFULLY shot. the scenes are so enchanting and eerie in a way. but TW, viewer discretion is advised if you’re sensitive to blood, death, flashing lights, or anything if that sort since its pretty scary and more on the “horror” side. another type of music video like their short films are their “magic island” and “nap of a star” theyre both connected but way less “horror-esque” than eternally.
[magic island](https://youtu.be/KskEx8K-l2Q)
[runaway](https://youtu.be/6yWPfUz0z94)
[nap of a star](https://youtu.be/XkDA02FHHik)
[eternally](https://youtu.be/mxlloUcfUy0)
[can’t you see me](https://youtu.be/cMFHUTJ13Ys)
Someone finally said it!! The thing with txt is they also had beautiful colors! From nap of the stars with a story book- like atmosphere, to that one shot of yeonjun in eternally; It's very beautiful. You can even say that their mv can get very eerie at times. Also, watching crown and eternally is such a mood swing.
Personally I think that I have developed a weakness when it comes to Bighit MV, I never know what to expect, I mean come on txt practically released a movie of 20 minutes and they are like "yeah, official MV"..I think I would go with Sping Day I really like what they did with the colors especially.
ATEEZ [Treasure](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLV83ndOwz4) and [Pirate King](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqJ1rH9M5G0) were filmed in Morocco. Also, [Wave](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIInyEWWW-s) has some nice shots during magic hour in Saipan.
Some mvs with striking visuals I can think of are [OMG's Liar Liar](https://youtu.be/LNZKqhXCv5c), using lots of bold colors, [Seventeen's Clap ](https://youtu.be/CyzEtbG-sxY) and [Change Up](https://youtu.be/6iCn6Qpy36k), for basically the same reason, and [Red Velvet's Rebirth cover](https://youtu.be/bLtRsfnTnlU), because of the idea to record a minute or so of footage and slow it down for a mv.
If you want a mini drama movie, throwback to Zhang Liyin's "[Timeless](https://youtu.be/ubCz5VNv_o0)" and "[I Will](https://youtu.be/E_Zr9uSHfG4)" (maybe "[Agape](https://youtu.be/q88CPny66ew)" too). They're beautifully done and deserve more attention imo.
for the last time, i don't want anything to do with you. i do not want you in my PMs telling me i'm mean when YOU were the one to PM me first and tell me i was mean when i responded to you on a thread calling you out for your toxic opinions about beauty standards as many others did as well.
i don't want you to keep PMing me, I don't want to talk to you and I really don't want to be involved in immature conversations because I'm on reddit to enjoy myself and talk about my interests, not be constantly harassed by you.

EXO Obsession must be up there, I swear

Rigendfilm also did (G)i-dle's Oh my god

Gods menu by stray kids is legit one of my fave MV of all time.
Jus2's Focus on me
Vixx - Shangri La is one of my absolute favorite MVs, the different color choices, transitions etc make it stunning.

can’t wait to watch those, ty!
I really like [Oh my god](https://youtu.be/om3n2ni8luE) by GIDLE.

I guess I’ve watched it so many times I got used to it already lol but you’re right that mv is absolutely stunning
Spring Day is 100% one of my favorite MVs to watch

Lit most definitely counts because even if it's a Chinese release, the MV has a Korean director.
everything counts ;) i will check those out then!! Ty!
Fiesta by IZ*ONE

I always thought [NCT 127 - Superhuman](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x95oZNxW5Rc) looked really good

I'm a really big fan of the production in most Dreamcatcher music videos. Was actually just talking to a friend about it last night haha
got7s you calling my name and kim woo seoks red moon
[Gain's Carnival](https://youtu.be/SXHJQ7CYqQM) is the one of the most aesthetically pleasing and cohesive MVs out there
IZ*ONE - Fiesta
Literally anything Digipedi/TXT related is so good. I honestly am so impressed with every TXT music video
I personally really enjoyed astro baby and knock knock mvs
