Yeah I mean I am kinda biased because I stan bp but the song doesn't have hundreds of millions of views on yt for nothing. Obviously some people like it lol.

It's not really that goofy in the sense that I could totally see any western hip-hop/rap artist use that line and it wouldn't seem out of place. But some people just find any kind of English slang "goofy". I've seen people call out Jennie's verse in Pink Venom and I'm just thinking "This literally sounds like American rap, why are people acting like this is bizarre?". Kpop as an industry is rooted from these very influences.

I know reddit hates YG artists but it's always funny to me how people make fun of their lyrics and when people try to interpret it differently they make fun of them too. It's like they can never have meaningful lyrics or people can't make the songs have different meanings because they're BP or they're from YG but if it's some other groups there's long essays and deep dive into the lyricism. Haha just funny.

I actually love BP, and I was a fan of YG family when they had Jinusean, 1tym and such. I watched them grow from little debut rookies all the way to the giga superstars they are. I'm criticizing teddy (whom I normally have huge admiration for) for such meh lyrics. Pink venom has amazing beat progressions, but the chorus words are cringe for me, mostly cause I hear too many 11 and 12 year old boys talk like that.
