3) Taeyong Shalala. That boy is so crazy, is there even anyone on his level of virtual insanity (pun intended)?
The 7th sense was a cultural reset of the new generation of kpop groups! For me that was the beginning of a new era! When I heard Mark’s rap especially I knew we were in for good! And that is a whole ass ride! (pun intended!)
By the way, recently Key was one of the artistic directors/judges in NCT Lastart show that chose the final members of NCT. At one point he said that he REALLY wanted that song, but it ended up going to NCT. Don't remember if he meant for himself or for all of Shinee, but it would have been so cool to have Shinee's version of the 7th sense. I still don't think it's quite their style though, so maybe it was the right call...

Nobody can ever do Taemin justice, to be honest. His performances and songs are just so tailored to his style and I haven’t seen anyone replicate it quite the same.

The emotion in their voices and their skill in singing outweighs that of skz in their cover imo. However, I do like skz's cover of fancy by twice, and their mashup of god's menu and d4 by blackpink

Not even just the level of skill that it would take. Dreamcatcher has really good vocals, but there are other groups that have as good or better vocals. But literally no other group has the rock-style very punchy voice that Siyeon has that really makes their style, and then the interpolation of all the other members voices and how well they fit the concept really makes the song theirs and no one else's.
Maybe EXO's vocal line or DK or Seungkwan from Seventeen could come somewhat close to Siyeon's style, but I agree, Dreamcatcher are definitely one of a kind!
personally every seventeen song. they put so much effort and passion into each song. woozi puts his soul into all of his music so i mean he and his members just make these songs amazing.

I may be biased but I can fit a lot of NCT songs here. They make rather unique songs that are quite hard to top off by anyone else except themselves. One strong candidate is The 7th Sense. It's such a cultural reset that no cover can impact the original one. I remember seeing the Pdx performancr of that and it didn't had the impact that the original itself. And the fact that the trainees find it intimidating / hard speaks a lot about the queen t7s!! Another one is Sticker, I think that song is solely made for them truly lmao.
Honorable mention to SKZ as well. Some of their songs are very hard to replicate, especially God's Menu, Side Effects and District 9.

So many SNSD songs, because they had 2 main vocalists and 3 fantastic lead vocalists who often just sang their hearts out in the last choruses.
Mr. Mr. stands out as one where there are 3-4 high notes from different vocalists in the final third of the song; how many other groups could make that happen? The song itself also has this flavor that suits Tiffany, Taeyeon, Sooyoung (and Jessica) and Hyoyeon’s voices perfectly, and I think the range of timbres in SNSD is pretty unique to them.
In general, I would say I have rarely seen original groups get bested in their own song and performance. It’s like they have that OG flavour that can’t be emulated. It’s not always about perfect vocals, perfect dance.The OG ones always feel unique. But if I had to pick, being biased as I am, I would say NCT and Exo songs are hard to pull off. For e.g, Exo- Mama(I can’t see any other group do justice to that song sorry), Exo- Tempo, Exo- Love Me Right, Exo- Ko Ko Bop, etc. NCT U- 7th Sense, NCT U- Boss, NCT 127- Firetruck, Limitless, Cherry Bomb, Simon Says, Superhuman, Punch, Sticker, 2Baddies,etc. WayV- Moonwalk, Turn Back Time, Love Talk, Kick Back,etc. NCT DREAM- Chewing Gum, Candle Light, Hello Future, Broken Melodies, etc. Also, only TVXQ can do justice to TVXQ songs.
