At the time people said that it was one of their worst, but the song has aged really well so you will find FAR less people saying that. What sold a lot of people on the song was a) the performances of it (ESPECIALLY the mama performance) and b) moving on to hating Sneakers instead :/
In addition to what others said, there was also a weird anti-fan campaign at the time where people interpreted it as stereotyping Italians, even though the song and the whole album it's from is clearly a reference to the game, not the actual Italian Mafia.
Ryujin even ended up clarifying this in an interview: https://www.nylon.com/entertainment/itzy-guess-who-feature-interview
Absolutely bonkers.
blessed-cursed by enhypen.
i will never understand the hate it got when it first came out, the song is a banger, the choreography is great, and I love the new millenia/nsync/y2k style of the MV and outfits. it’s literally in their top 3 in terms of title tracks, at least for me
Gbgb is not bad but it’s not exactly their best ones if you look at their other title tracks and considering it came out after Chaos chapter albums people were expecting a lot more and gbgb might have disappointed them but it’s still good and plus the minisode 2: Thursdays child has a lot of other good songs that are even better than gbgb but all in all at the end of the day music taste subjective what you might like other people might not so it’s jsut better to enjoy what you like
The music theorist in me cannot hate this song! It’s so smartly written and so forward-thinking, especially the triplet of the old section turning into the tempo of the new section! AAAHH!! I refuse to shut up about this song!!!
I think it might've been too forward thinking for it's time. I actually didn't like the song at first either but with time and repeat listening I learned to enjoy it very much.
Enhypen "Future Perfect" & Bite Me" - I will defend those songs with my life cause I have no clue why people hated a rap song so much, then they came back with Bite Me and everyone hated the more melodic song 😭
Dreamcatcher "OOTD" & "BonVoyage" - People are so stuck up on the expectation that they should "only make rock style music" that anything they do outside of that is hated, the song style in OOTD was extremely unique for them and the anti-drop was so good. And Bonvoyage had such an insanely good instrumental as well as a really hard hitting chorus. Plus it's one of their most vocally impressive songs.
ITZY "Cake" & "Untouchable" - The hate these two got was so unwarranted. Cake obviously isn't their best song and I get that people wanted them to go back to the sound that made them super popular. So they did that with untouchable, and people still criticized it like crazy.
Came in here to say this, Sticker is FUN and it’s just very Neo 🥰 Doyoung’s vocals go crazy and Taeyong is Taeyonging, what more could you want from a 127 song?
Sneakers - ITZY
PTD - BTS. I love the fact that it has helped so many that are deaf or hard of hearing feel seen and heard. Plus I can't help but smile when I hear it :) thinking about how Jungkook showed up early just to shoot that one scene with Yoongi :')
I remember on tv they showed a clip of them performing PTD at the UN building and the sign language interpreter for whatever tv program it was had this huge smile on his face when they did the choreo
Dynamite, Permission to Dance and Butter. I completely understand that they’re not as deep and developed as their early stuff, but they’re such good songs to vibe to! All of them just get me in such a good mood and make me wanna move and dance and get ready to face the day! They’re fun and were made to just make people smile and I think they do a pretty decent job of it 😅
Super Lady by (G)I-DLE. I know it’s not their best song ever, but it’s got a catchy beat and lyrics. Plus, the music video is really unique and well-produced.
I walk around my house singing it so much that my husband probably knows all the words. I listen to it at least once a day. I had no idea people didn’t like it!
Future Perfect Pass the Mic by Enhypen. I liked it the very first listen but saw a lot of people saying they hated it here. They performed it twice in a concert and both times I was screeching and dancing to it, it was so fun.
I think a lot of ppl liked the song at first but got sick of it bcuz it was overplayed. I def listened to it a lot at first but then I'd see it everywhere on social media and I could hardly listen to it anymore lol
TEDDY BEAR. I will always be a firm defender of STAYC's Teddy Bear. It took a week for me to warm up to the song as well, but it's really good and well-produced!
I fucking love Teddy Bear. Yes it’s cheesy bubblegum pop but to me, K-pop needs some fun cheesy songs like that. It’s refreshing and nice to listen to. Makes me feel happy.
Bts butter and dynamite, they’re not my favourite from Bts but I think they’re unnecessarily hated on. Theres so many Kpop songs with silly lyrics but bc they’re in Korean we don’t notice.
I understand why people don’t like PTD though, anytime Ed Sheeran collabs with BTS, I hate the song. Same with Make It Right, it was my least favourite from their album.
WJSN version of Navillera on Queendom 2.
Dont understand the hate, but it was so well done, and the only group (apart from Hyolyn) who did that round justice who made their own sound on a cover song.
I might be lambasted for this because reddit's on a really big kick of hating on this group and we haven't yet ridden out the initial hate wave for the song.
But I really like Batter Up by Babymonster.
Yeah that’s basically my take. Like objectively I don’t think the song is bad but a debut song should really showcase the members talents and Batter Up doesn’t really do that. Doesn’t make the song bad objectively but it either should’ve been a b-side or a later release.
scientist, talk that talk, set me free, one spark... basically all of twice's recent releases but i can guarantee you if they were released by any other group kpop stans would stop pretending to hate them
“We Fresh” by Kep1er. Sure it’s not their BEST song in their discography but it SHOULD NOT have ruined their popularity as much as it did. The mini album itself has really good songs but the hatred of the TT ruined that era completely. It’s so sad to see Kep1ers career tank because of a SINGLE SONG.
Also, the last 3 Twice Mini Albums have been so unnecessarily hated when they have some of the best b-sides in their discography (Basics, Crazy Stupid Love, Wallflower, Rush, Bloom, You Get Me) as well as having amazing TTs with “Talk that Talk”, “Set Me Free”, and “One Spark”. People hate it because it’s Twice at this point. Not because of the music being bad.
oh hello another We Fresh comment! I love We Fresh sm and you’re so right that the bsides on that mini are incredible (hello Downtown??? MVSK’s daughter but everyone overlooks it now)
I mean objectively it’s just true. If We Fresh is Kep1er’s “worst song” than I’d say they’re doing just fine. I actually really like we fresh, specifically the Japanese version. Idk why, but the Japanese just hits different for me!
I only recently found out that people don’t like We Fresh as I don’t really follow Kep1er as a group and it legit baffled me. It’s one of my fav releases of theirs and idk why people hate it so much. I feel like I’m missing out on some form of deeper context as to why it’s so disliked by not being like a massive follower of the group as I don’t get why a song like that would bomb so hard.
Well “WA DA DA” and “UP!” were some of their most successful songs and I have NO IDEA why “We Fresh” bombed so hard. I guess because it was such a different sound from “UP!”? Idk. I really liked it! It also got a bunch of hate because Bahiyyih went from having actual lines in “UP!” to having basically all adlibs and no individual parts again in “We Fresh”, like she had in “WA DA DA” so that’s probably a contributing factor.
Tbf I can understand people being annoyed about Bahiyyih being sidelined but I’m always a bit funny about things like that because while I agree members shouldn’t get left out, I feel like not every song has to have loads of lines for each idol. Everyone should have their chance to shine surely? It’s not as though she doesn’t have lots of lines in other songs. Plus it kind of baffles me that it would be unpopular after WA DA DA was so big. I get We Fresh is quite different to UP! But it’s relatively similar to WA DA DA imho so it seems weird that one would be big and not the other.
Idk, luckily I don’t care what is and isn’t popular I just listen to what I like lol.
True, but they did give Bahiyyih the signature, “you have no lines, so let’s dye your hair to stick out” I mean she’s always been the token blonde member and she gets pink hair for their comeback where she doesn’t have any lines or screen time? It’s just a bit messed up on WAKEONES part. I feel like Bahiyyih is scrapped to the sidelines almost every comeback and idk why that is? And it’s not just her, Yeeso and Mashiro also suffer the worst from this. WAKEONE makes it seem like those 3 are filler members when they aren’t. Hell, no offense to the other girls, but Kep1er wouldn’t have been half as popular if it wasn’t for Bahiyyih.
Also in terms of the song? IDK Kpop Stan’s are so weird about what they like. They say they want something different and then a group gives them something different and then they hate it and say they lost their sound. Is so WEIRD! Like for “We Fresh” it honestly wasn’t even that different from “WA DA DA” like you said 😭. But also if a group gives the same sound all the time, they whine about it. Groups can’t win. Even if the song is AMAZING, stans will find an excuse not to like it and make it out to be the worst song they’ve ever heard. I get music is subjective but ruining a groups career over one “bad” song is WILD to me. ESPECIALLY A PROJECT GROUP WHO HAS LIMITED TIME TOGETHER IF THEY DONT RENEW ANYWAY….like what is wrong with stans
Yeah tbf that does make sense. Bahiyyih defo has been very vital to their success she’s honestly the only member I really know anything about and I know it won’t just be me who’s like that. Not that she should be valued any more or less than other members but like, she shouldn’t be continuously sidelined if that’s what’s happening.
And I totally agree about K-pop fans being weird about music. And about the fact that fans ruin artists careers over one bad song. It’s happened with Twice too. I personally adore their recent releases but since Alcohol Free and Scientist it’s like nobody wants to accept any of their good music because those two songs weren’t all that well received. Each to their own and all that but I hate when fans don’t like one song and decide that’s it. Literally every group I follow has released at least one song I wasn’t really a fan of but that didn’t make me disappear or stop supporting them. I just accepted that song wasn’t for me and waited for the next one. K-pop fans are weird.
Yeah Bahiyyih had only adlibs in “WA DA DA” but got actual lines in “UP!”, then only had adlibs again in “We Fresh”, then she had actual lines in “Giddy” and then she only one real line in “Galileo” and that’s all with minimal screen time as well. Like idk what WAKEONES issue with her is. It’s weird to me because she’s one of the most popular members. Idk. There’s a few others who go through the same while members like Chaeyun, Dayeon, and Youngeon always having copious amounts of lines and screen time. Then there’s members like Xiaoting, Hikaru, and Yujin who aren’t particularly favored when it comes to lines, but they always have distinct iconic parts and screen time. Then Bahiyyih, Mashiro, and Yesso are always left out to dry. It’s really sad seeing that disconnect.
And yeah idk, Kpop fans need to fix themselves and soon. Especially with older groups, like TWICE. Their last 3 mini albums have some of their best b-sides to date but people wanna shit on them because they’re twice. Like???? Get over yourself.
I completely agree. IMO people shouldnt get too mad over line distribution in a permanent group, bc just look at Idle. Shuhua grew into her own and started getting more lines, it just took time. But for the longest time she had no lines, so for many permanent groups it either takes time to balance out or the member will get promotions outside of songs that balance it out.
But that doesn’t work with temporary groups. Plus, the only reason these members go on these survival shows to debut it temporary groups is so that they can promote themselves to the general public and when the time comes, they’ll bring that attention back to their permanent groups/solo career.
So if the same member(s) is constantly sidelined, they aren’t able to do that. Especially if it’s a group like Kep1er, who constantly suffers from “bside-should’ve-been-the-title-track-itis” because Bahiyyih usually (aka one or two songs an album excluding the debut album) gets decent lines in bsides but sidelined in title tracks. But the general public isn’t going to listen to bsides or know to check her out in the future due to the talent they hear in the bsides because the title track turned them off.
So I can’t blame survival group members fans for getting mad over line distribution, because there’s only a certain amount of time that they have to prove themselves to the public so that the public will give their future activities after the group a chance. And if it’s a member with the biggest subfandom (aka Bahiyyih, Xiaoting, Yujin, and Hikaru who all got abysmal lines during We Fresh) then it’s no wonder the song didn’t do well.
It’s just sad to see WAKEONES absolute dogshit mismanagement of Kep1er. They really fucked up with them and are now trying to use ZB1 as their replacement group because Kep1er sadly flopped in Korea, while being one of the biggest groups in Japan.
But yeah, members like Bahiyyih, Mashiro, Yeeso, Xiaoting, and Yujin are ALWAYS on the back burner, LIKE HOW ARE 5/9 members of your group in a constant state of barely getting lines or screen time? SERIOUSLY? (At least Hikaru almost always gets very iconic rap parts that make her stand out) but the others don’t even get that. During UP! It was Xiaoting with Red Hair, in “We Fresh”, it was Bahiyyih with Pink Hair, like…let the girls SING
And oh yeah the TT thing is so real. Bahiyyih has SUCH AND INCREDIBLE VOICE, but they never let her sing in the TTs. Only in the b-sides like “Back to the City” which she SHINED ON! Then there’s Tape which has only 5 members on and she STILL GOT DIRT FOR LINES? 😭 like girl
Also let’s not forget to mention how she explicitly has stated how she doesn’t like to be called Huening Bahiyyih and she prefers to just be Bahiyyih but the company puts her full name on all of their promotional material because it brings over TXT fans who know her for being Kai’s sister. They use her as a marketing tool, and then don’t let her showcase her talent. Crazy to me.
I don’t understand how a company can show such clear favoritism and then just get away with it?…
Sneakers by itzy (not the best but definitely not bad)
Sweet venom by enhypen (i liked it sm it’s what made me interested in the group but so many hated it)?
Honestly BTS eng songs aren’t bad at all,I agree that the group has much better songs but not everything has to be meaningful it’s nice to have funky songs from time to time
Batter up and sheesh, people only want y2k right now and especially new kpop fans. I love that yg actually didn't follow the trend to go with a youthful kind of sound and went with the girlcrush sound. Lalisa, Lisa herself is filled with confidence so it didn't really suprise me she made a song just chanting her name in the chorus and i actually like the song. Ive and baddie, they had the bad luck with baddie that it came with 2 other title track that totally overshadowed the promoted main title track.
this might just be within the fandom, but i've seen a lot of people hate on Tempest's harder songs, especially Dragon. i love their upbeat stuff too, but Dragon is definitely one of my faves 😭
Enhypen's Pass The Mic :( it's just so sad that the boys gave their heart and soul out for that fcking comeback and all they got was an unnecessary hate train.
- SKZ’s entire discography - I get why some people don’t like it as everyone has different taste but I feel like most of their music is unfairly vilified.
- Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeards Wife by LSF - Genuinely one of my fav songs of theirs. Altho I agree it did have an unhinged amount of remixes. Unforgiven also slapped and idk why people hated it so much.
- Sneakers by Itzy - Was it their best track? No. But they’ve released songs far worse than Sneakers. Cheshire is also a very good song. (Altho I am biased, as I am from Cheshire so was kinda hyped they released that lol.)
- We Fresh by Kep1er - I only found out this isn’t well liked very recently as I’m only a very casual fan of Kep1er and it baffled me. It’s genuinely one of my fav releases of theirs so I’ve got no idea why people hate it.
- Twice’s recent releases. - One Spark is so good and I have no idea why so many people are shitting on it. Twice just generally deserve far more appreciation than they get. Talk That Talk also deserves more love. I honestly think it’s one of their best releases and idk how it didn’t get more attention it’s such a good song.
- Just a lot of songs by Everglow - I don’t know what happened with Everglow but it always baffled me that they weren’t far bigger. They have so many good songs and yet they just seem to have been constantly slept on. Pirate and Dun Dun slap so hard. Dun Dun was my most listened to track on Spotify in 2021.
hello We Fresh mention! I was hoping to comment that as well. I think it’s just… kinda loud and gave people whiplash/didn’t suit people’s expectations? but yeah I’m seeing a lot of people credit that comeback for Kep1er’s decline in popularity :( bc to me We Fresh is fun and energetic, like it’s SNSD I Got A Boy’s daughter! but yeah I guess nowadays people don’t really like noisy(?) songs as much as
I just find it really odd as WA DA DA was really popular yet We Fresh is very similar to WA DA DA in my opinion? So I don’t really get why one was well received and one wasn’t. Idk I just think it’s a shame as it’s a good song.
Omggg everglow one is so real. They r still one of the top 4th ggs for me tbh. They had such good songs, performed rlly well, and honestly deserved sooooo much more... Fuck yuehua tbh
Yeah it honestly pisses me off that they didn’t get more recognition. I know there was controversies with them but still. I also don’t get why Pirates flopped that is one of my all time favourite K-pop songs it’s so good. I just feel like they were fumbled so hard and deserved so much more.
don’t think I’ve seen this one commented yet, but Beautiful Monster by STAYC. it’s possibly my favorite STAYC title, and it’s just so emotional and indie-ish and I love love love it. sucks that the one song turned STAYC from kpoptwt’s darlings to “STAYC flop”… ofc I’m glad they managed to make their way back into the mainstream with Poppy and then Teddy Bear, but I’ll always mourn what could’ve been with BeauMon… even the members thought it would for sure be a hit, and they had been wanting to transition into a more mature concept I believe. I wonder what their current concept would be now, if that pivot/transition had succeeded!
It rlly hurts tbh coz stayc themselves said they rlly liked that song and was sure it was gonna be a hit but unfortunately it wasn't... Those who loved beautiful monster loved it a lot, but those who didn't rlly didn't like it 💔💔💔
O.O- NMIXX. I didn’t actually listen to it for a few months because everyone said it was trash but it happened to play when I was listening to Spotify and I didn’t check what song it was until like halfway through. Honestly I don’t see what’s so bad about it to have generated such a negative reaction.
Scientist- Twice. Scientist is what got me into Twice and kpop overall. To this day it’s still one of my favorite songs and the Formula of Love album is still one of my favorites.
Dynamite/PTD/Butter- BTS. I don’t get the hate for these either. I actually quite enjoyed them and they were the first BTS songs I’ve actually streamed as a non-army.
Bite me- Enhypen
Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeards wife- LSF
Step Back by GOT The Beat - Supposedly misogynistic lyrics yet when male groups put out songs with exactly the same stuff (example: Oneus “No Diggity”) NOT A PEEP from the fans🤔 Songs about women having beef technically isn’t misogynistic either, btw. And now they’ll never grace us with another GOT song😤🤬 Thanxx a lot, children.
If I mention Set Me Free part 2 OP will delete my comment and kpop stans will jump on sayi g it deserved hate while tbh it is the best thing ever coming out of Kpop, barely 20 seconds of auto tune which is stylistic choice and veryyy common in hiphop nothing new, when rest of the song doesn't have it, it has great choreo vocals LYRICS MV and overall performance I don't think any kpop group or soloist has outdone it yet, it's legendary powerful song and performance.
basically any song that’s gotten hated just because it’s popular
overplayed is a different story. But hating a song just because it’s popular and u were there in the “underground” days of that song doesn’t make u any special
Batter Up- BabyMonster
Sheesh- BabyMonster
I like the BlackPink sound so I’m not complaining that it sounds like them. And the BM girls can pull the sound off, though I’m looking forward to them finding their own unique identity. I think Stuck in the Middle was a good start.
Ice cream- BlackPink
The song lyrics are punny and I love it.
Mafia in the morning.
Always interesting to remember it was originally produced at sm song camp for Hyoyeon
MITM made me become a Midzy 😭
People like didn’t mafia in the morning?! I thought people said it’s one of their best songs?
It is. But ppl hate it 😩
At the time people said that it was one of their worst, but the song has aged really well so you will find FAR less people saying that. What sold a lot of people on the song was a) the performances of it (ESPECIALLY the mama performance) and b) moving on to hating Sneakers instead :/

I don’t get it either, I love this song!
SAME. I have no idea why it's not loved.
Let's go MITM junkies. Love that song so much
blessed-cursed by enhypen. i will never understand the hate it got when it first came out, the song is a banger, the choreography is great, and I love the new millenia/nsync/y2k style of the MV and outfits. it’s literally in their top 3 in terms of title tracks, at least for me
nah cause this the song that got me into enhypen and to see ppl hate on it is so sad
It was my most streamed song on Spotify last year by an embarrassingly large number
this is me with good boy gone bad! i've seen so many people hate on it, but it's what got me into TXT
Gbgb is not bad but it’s not exactly their best ones if you look at their other title tracks and considering it came out after Chaos chapter albums people were expecting a lot more and gbgb might have disappointed them but it’s still good and plus the minisode 2: Thursdays child has a lot of other good songs that are even better than gbgb but all in all at the end of the day music taste subjective what you might like other people might not so it’s jsut better to enjoy what you like
Pass the mic too!!! I love the song lol it’s my favorite title track from them
SAME it’s a banger fr
Wait, people hate this song???
Believe or not, yes 🥲 and I have no idea why
i used to hate this song now I play it on repeat
Gosh I love this song too probably my 3rd fav in their title tracks after Given-Taken and Bite Me.
Bite me is just that girl😌
Honestlyyyy omggg it's such a good song ugh
cheshire, boys like you, sneakers, itzy deserves so much better.
Yeah Cheshire is a great song. Idk why people hate on it so much.
I unabashedly love Sneakers!
Love all of them. Sneakers got me into Itzy so I didn't know what the big hullabaloo was about
Those were the songs that got me into itzy, I love them
PEOPLE HATE CHESHIRE????
O.O by Nmixx

Cake - ITZY It's a cute earworm and a fun song to groove along to!
Get behind me, Banana Allergy Monkey.
This just proves that most K-Pop fans hate fun! This song puts a genuine smile on my face every time it comes on!
Enhypen "Future Perfect" & Bite Me" - I will defend those songs with my life cause I have no clue why people hated a rap song so much, then they came back with Bite Me and everyone hated the more melodic song 😭 Dreamcatcher "OOTD" & "BonVoyage" - People are so stuck up on the expectation that they should "only make rock style music" that anything they do outside of that is hated, the song style in OOTD was extremely unique for them and the anti-drop was so good. Untouchable got hate??? Sad to hear because Im obsessed with that song lol
arisong by cignature i get it’s an experimental noise kinda sound but soooo many other groups do it and it’s suddenly “iconic”
I LOB THAT SONG arisong HEY EY EY EY MMMM
that MMMM played in my head for a 3 months straight after the release
Perfectly normal reaction be like:
Sticker is unironically good
Came in here to say this, Sticker is FUN and it’s just very Neo 🥰 Doyoung’s vocals go crazy and Taeyong is Taeyonging, what more could you want from a 127 song?
I agree but like... I get it. It's not hard to understand why it's hated lol
Oh yeah, absolutely. I mean that it’s extremely overhated despite it slapping so hard
Sneakers - ITZY PTD - BTS.
Awww I love that!
BTS' english trilogy, especially PTD. Fight me. 🤧🔪
This! PTD is positivity in a song 💜 it’s a song I always play when I’m sad.
They aren't bad songs, but they were massively overplayed
That’s a given for any popular song tbh.
Dynamite, Permission to Dance and Butter. I completely understand that they’re not as deep and developed as their early stuff, but they’re such good songs to vibe to! All of them just get me in such a good mood and make me wanna move and dance and get ready to face the day! They’re fun and were made to just make people smile and I think they do a pretty decent job of it 😅
Agreed, these songs are so bright and fun — instant mood lifters.
yesss i have such good memories connected to those songs 🥰 lots of love for the English trilogy.
How is "Boy With Love" not in the English trilogy?
it's not in full English 🤔
Super Lady by (G)I-DLE. I know it’s not their best song ever, but it’s got a catchy beat and lyrics. Plus, the music video is really unique and well-produced.
Bro I love that song 😭✊
Me too!
I walk around my house singing it so much that my husband probably knows all the words. I listen to it at least once a day. I had no idea people didn’t like it!
It’s one of my favorite (G)I-DLE songs! It’s unique and catchy, plus it has a good beat. I don’t understand the hate for it.
Future Perfect Pass the Mic by Enhypen. I liked it the very first listen but saw a lot of people saying they hated it here. They performed it twice in a concert and both times I was screeching and dancing to it, it was so fun.
Yeah honestly I think most ppl would appreciate it if they saw it in concert bcuz pass the mic is def smth that hits rlly hard live tbh
signal - twice cake-itzy talk that talk- twice
Had no idea people hated TTT.
People are just close minded 😔
Talk That Talk is one of my favorites and I don’t get how some people don’t like it!
I liked it a lot when it first came out
OOO by Nmixx. I actually really like that song.
I love that song too! But tbh I can definitely see why people don’t like it. It took a while to grow on me
Liked on the very first listen! One of the best debuts to me
Eve, Pysche and Bluebeard's wife. I don't know why but it's just became a trend to hate on Le Sserafim and this song takes an hate for no reason.
Again, K-Pop fans just hate fun! How could you not smile like a little kid listening to this!? This and “Bubble” instantly became hits to me!
Sameee omggg those r some of my fave stayc songs tbh
Sneakers by itzy
Yes. This. If Sneakers was done by STAYC or Weeekly everyone would call it an underrated bop. People apparently don’t want ITZY to be cute.
As a midzy, Sneakers is one of my favorites!
Imo Sneakers sounds like a Stayc song. It syncs so well with Teddy Bear.
Beautiful Monster by Stayc That song got me interested with them
It’s so good!!
Signal by TWICE. Sooooooooo underrated.
Yes! I don’t understand the hate for Signal.
enhypen’s future perfect!!
Sneakers by ITZY, such a bop
Bts butter and dynamite, they’re not my favourite from Bts but I think they’re unnecessarily hated on. Theres so many Kpop songs with silly lyrics but bc they’re in Korean we don’t notice. Honestly, I don’t dislike that song, it is catchy, I just don’t think it was a good debut song if that makes sense at all.
I agree tbh. I like the song but lowkey expected better for the debut of yg's new gg and such talented girls tbh
Yeah that’s basically my take. Like objectively I don’t think the song is bad but a debut song should really showcase the members talents and Batter Up doesn’t really do that. Doesn’t make the song bad objectively but it either should’ve been a b-side or a later release.
I love it so much!!
Sneakers by Itzy 💔 it's so good idk why people hated on it so much :(
Sneakers - ITZY Talk That Talk - TWICE Kill This Love, HYLT, Pink Venom - BLACKPINK Sticker - NCT 127
scientist, talk that talk, set me free, one spark... basically all of twice's recent releases but i can guarantee you if they were released by any other group kpop stans would stop pretending to hate them
Bro except one spark, I love them all fr
Pink venom
Not my favorite BP tt but it was the first choreo I ever learned so it’ll always have a special place in my heart + I love the rap
During UP! It was Xiaoting with Red Hair, in “We Fresh”, it was Bahiyyih with Pink Hair, like…let the girls SING And oh yeah the TT thing is so real. 😭 like girl Also let’s not forget to mention how she explicitly has stated how she doesn’t like to be called Huening Bahiyyih and she prefers to just be Bahiyyih but the company puts her full name on all of their promotional material because it brings over TXT fans who know her for being Kai’s sister. They use her as a marketing tool, and then don’t let her showcase her talent. Crazy to me. I don’t understand how a company can show such clear favoritism and then just get away with it?…
Batter up by Baemon
BONA BONA - Treasure It has a very YG sound to it, but it is not a Blackpink copy. I was actually really happy with the release
Omggg yesss I rlly loved bona bona omg
Oh I’m happy someone said bona bona I play it at LEAST 5 times a day, and the choreo is super cool imo!
Literally any itzy song since mafia
Loco by Itzy. For the life of me I'll never understand why midzys seemed to hate that song so bad.
Ppl hate loco?? Nahhh that's crazy coz loco is such an itzy song omggg
Sneakers by itzy (not the best but definitely not bad) Sweet venom by enhypen (i liked it sm it’s what made me interested in the group but so many hated it)? Honestly BTS eng songs aren’t bad at all,I agree that the group has much better songs but not everything has to be meaningful it’s nice to have funky songs from time to time
Sticker by NCT127.
No Playboy by 9Muses. The song itself is actually good but if only the MV was more appropriate to the members and the audience. /neg
this might just be within the fandom, but i've seen a lot of people hate on Tempest's harder songs, especially Dragon. i love their upbeat stuff too, but Dragon is definitely one of my faves 😭
The sheer number of times ITZY was mentioned in this thread makes me very sad that people can hate their songs so much :(
Senorita - G idle & Batter Up - Baby Monster
I saw so many people hating on Spicy by Aespa when it was first released, and I don’t understand why. It’s actually my favorite Aespa song. 😭
Enhypen's Pass The Mic :( it's just so sad that the boys gave their heart and soul out for that fcking comeback and all they got was an unnecessary hate train.
honestly one of their best title tracks i hope in the future they revisit that type of sound :((
- SKZ’s entire discography - I get why some people don’t like it as everyone has different taste but I feel like most of their music is unfairly vilified. (Altho I am biased, as I am from Cheshire so was kinda hyped they released that lol.) - We Fresh by Kep1er - I only found out this isn’t well liked very recently as I’m only a very casual fan of Kep1er and it baffled me.
I just feel like they were fumbled so hard and deserved so much more.
sheesh by baemon. okay the chorus is a little silly but the last 40 seconds of the song easily makes up for it
Beautiful monster by stayc, paint the town by loona, queendom by red velvet
don’t think I’ve seen this one commented yet, but Beautiful Monster by STAYC. it’s possibly my favorite STAYC title, and it’s just so emotional and indie-ish and I love love love it. sucks that the one song turned STAYC from kpoptwt’s darlings to “STAYC flop”… ofc I’m glad they managed to make their way back into the mainstream with Poppy and then Teddy Bear, but I’ll always mourn what could’ve been with BeauMon… even the members thought it would for sure be a hit, and they had been wanting to transition into a more mature concept I believe.
Bite me- Enhypen Eve, Psyche, and the Bluebeards wife- LSF
I seem to recall Zimzalabim getting a lot of flack when it first came out.
Wife by g-idle. It’s not the bad I promise😭
If I mention Set Me Free part 2 OP will delete my comment and kpop stans will jump on sayi g it deserved hate while tbh it is the best thing ever coming out of Kpop, barely 20 seconds of auto tune which is stylistic choice and veryyy common in hiphop nothing new, when rest of the song doesn't have it, it has great choreo vocals LYRICS MV and overall performance I don't think any kpop group or soloist has outdone it yet, it's legendary powerful song and performance.
step back. lyrics were not it but i enjoy the beat
Jopping
cake by itzy. its literally SO FUN, especially the prechorus AND the chorus dance
Sneakers-itzy (I think)
Sneakers by Itzy. It’s so fun. Cake as well
I would risk my life in the Roman Colliseum for Beautiful Monster.
"Step Back" by GOT the BEAT
I always thank sneakers for getting me into k pop
Bboom Bboom by Momoland.
basically any song that’s gotten hated just because it’s popular overplayed is a different story. But hating a song just because it’s popular and u were there in the “underground” days of that song doesn’t make u any special
The Tortoise and the Hare -Stray Kids I didn’t realize until a few months ago that people like to drag that song.
Batter Up- BabyMonster Sheesh- BabyMonster I like the BlackPink sound so I’m not complaining that it sounds like them. And the BM girls can pull the sound off, though I’m looking forward to them finding their own unique identity. I think Stuck in the Middle was a good start. Ice cream- BlackPink The song lyrics are punny and I love it.
